2 14th place all-time at Providence in assists (290). Beal leads the Friars this season in assists (87), averaging 3.3 dimes per game. ERICA MEYER THREE BLOCKED SHOTS SHY OF PROGRAM RECORD FOR A FRESHMAN... Freshman forward Erica Meyer has recorded a team-best 38 blocked shots this season in the 26 games she has played. Her 38 blocks are the second-highest total in program history for a freshman. Andrea Mangum 90 holds the program s record for blocks by a freshman with 41. Meyer needs just three blocked shots to tie Mangum for the freshman record. YOYO NOGIC NAMED TO BIG EAST WEEKLY HONOR ROLL... Jovana Yoyo Nogic (Lisbon, Portugal) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Feb. 22 for her performance in games vs. No. 21/19 DePaul (Feb. 19) and Marquette (Feb. 21). During the two-game span, Nogic averaged 19.5 points and dished 4.0 assists per game, while shooting 60-percent from the field (15-25), and 53.8-percent from three-point range (7-13). It marks the first time Nogic has earned weekly honors from the league. On Feb. 19, Nogic hit the 20-point plateau for the second time this season, and first time in BIG EAST Conference play, with 20 points vs. nationally-ranked DePaul. She shot a blistering 81.8-percent from the field (9-11), including 2-3 attempts from three-point territory. Nogic also added one rebound and one assist in 24 minutes of action off the bench. Nogic followed with 19 points, seven assists and one steal vs. Marquette on Feb. 21. Her seven assists matched her career high, previously set against Monmouth on Nov. 28. Nogic hit 6-14 attempts from the field overall (.429), including a 5-10 showing from beyond the three-point arc (.500). Her five three-pointers marked her second-highest total of the season overall, and the most vs. a BIG EAST Conference opponent. Earlier this season, she knocked down six threepoint buckets vs. Hartford on Nov. 25. FIVE FRIARS SCORE IN DOUBLE FIGURES VS. MARQUETTE... Five Friars tallied double figures in the scoring column vs. Marquette on Feb. 21. Jovana Yoyo Nogic led the way with 19 points, followed by Sarah Beal (16), Allegra Botteghi (15), Evi Iiskola (13) and Maddie Jolin (12). The last time Providence had five players in double figures during a game dates back to the season. On Feb. 18, 2014, Alexis Harris (26), Sarah Beal (12), Tori Rule (11), Evi Iiskola (10) and Aliyah Miller (10) all cracked double digits. ALLEGRA BOTTEGHI NOTCHES FIRST CAREER DOUBLE-DOUBLE VS. MARQUETTE... In the Friars most recent game vs. Marquette on Feb. 21, sophomore Allegra Botteghi recorded her first career double-double with 15 points and a career-high 10 rebounds. She is one of four active players on the roster to register a double-double for Providence. FRIARS SUFFER FIRST LOSS WHEN LEADING AT HALFTIME... On Feb. 21, the Friars dropped their first game of the season when leading at halftime. PC went to the locker room at halftime with a lead over Marquette. The Golden Eagles rallied in the second half to defeat Providence, Prior to this loss, the Friars were 4-0 when leading at halftime. FRIARS KNOCK DOWN A SEASON-HIGH 11 THREE-POINTERS VS. MARQUETTE... On Feb. 21, Providence converted three-point field goals (.407). The Friars 11 makes from long range mark a season high. Earlier this season, Providence knocked down (.588) attempts from three-point territory vs. Hartford on Nov. 25. BOTTEGHI NETS DOUBLE FIGURES IN FIVE OF LAST SEVEN GAMES... Allegra Botteghi has hit double figures in the scoring column during five of the Friars last seven games, including a career-high 17 points against No. 21/19 DePaul on Feb. 19. Prior to the seven-game stretch, Botteghi netted a season-high five points on two occasions vs. Hartford (Nov. 25) and Xavier (Jan. 10). Yoyo Nogic has hit 11-straight attempts from the freethrow line heading into the season finale at Seton Hall. Nogic leads the Friars at the line, having hit 86.2-percent of her attempts (25-29). However, her attempts are limited given her game is perimeter oriented. FRIARS SNAP 13-GAME SKID WITH VICTORY OVER CREIGH- TON... The Friars recently snapped a 13-game winless streak with a victory over Creighton Feb. 14. Prior to Sunday s win, the Friars had not claimed a victory since it defeated Rhode Island, 64-55, in overtime on Dec. 20. TRIO OF FRESHMEN LEAD THE WAY FROM THREE-POINT TER- RITORY... Freshmen Jovana Yoyo Nogic, Clara Che and Maddie Jolin have combined to make 99 of the Friars 132 three-point field goals this season, shooting a collective (0.378) from beyond the arc. The rest of the team has combined to shoot from three-point territory (0.237). BLOCK PARTY... Erica Meyer leads the Friars in blocked shots this season (38) and has swatted at least one shot in 17 games. Meyer ranks third in the BIG EAST Conference (all games) in blocks per game (1.5 bpg). Meyer recorded a season-best four blocked shots vs. Richmond (Dec. 5) and Marquette (Jan. 22), and has recorded multiple blocks in a game 12 times, including each of the last two. ALIYAH MILLER RECORDS SECOND CAREER DOUBLE-DOUBLE IN LOSS AT MAR- QUETTE... Junior forward Aliyah Miller recorded the second double-double of her career with the Friars on Jan. 22 vs. Marquette with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Miller shot 8-12 from the field vs. the Golden Eagles. Her eight made field goals and five offensive rebounds also matched her previous career-highs. BEAL AND JOLIN NET 20+ POINTS VS. MARQUETTE... Sarah Beal and Maddie Jolin each eclipsed the 20-point plateau vs. Marquette on Jan. 22. It marks the second time this season that multiple players have scored 20+ points in the same game. Beal (23), Jovana Yoyo Nogic (23) and Aliyah Miller (20) each tallied 20+ points vs. Bryant on Dec. 9. MADDIE JOLIN COLLECTS CAREER-BEST SIX STEALS IN BACK-TO-BACK GAMES... On Jan. 8 vs. Butler, freshman guard Maddie Jolin recorded a career-high six steals. Each of her six steals came during the final 1:59 of regulation, which fueled a furious come-back effort by the Friars. Providence trailed by 27 points in the fourth quarter, but eventually fell to the Bulldogs by a 10-point margin (77-67). On Jan. 10, Jolin recorded six steals for the second-consecutive games vs. Xavier. Her six steals vs. Butler and Xavier are tied for the most thefts in a single-game during BIG EAST Conference play. However, Jolin is the only player to record six steals in multiple league games this year. FRIARS COLLECT 11 OF THEIR 15 SECOND-HALF STEALS IN THE FOURTH QUARTER VS. BUTLER... Providence collected a season-high 16 steals in its loss to Butler (Jan. 8). The squad recorded 11 of their 15 second-half steals in the fourth quarter.

4 Providence s 16 thefts are the most in a single-game since Feb. 26, 2013 vs. Marquette (18). FRIARS EARN FIRST ROAD VICTORY SINCE JAN. 23, Providence earned its first road victory of the season on Dec. 20 at Rhode Island (64-55, OT). It also marked the first road win for the program since Jan. 23, 2015, when it defeated Marquette, 66-58, in Milwaukee, Wis. Prior to the victory vs. URI on Dec. 20, the Friars had lost eight-consecutive road games. ROAD WOES... The Friars are 1-11 this season in road games. Prior to the Friars overtime victory against Rhode Island on Dec. 20 of this season, Providence had not won a game on the road since Jan. 23, On that day, the Friars clipped Marquette, 66-58, in Milwaukee, Wis. SARAH BEAL SETS PROGRAM S SINGLE-GAME STEALS RECORD... On Dec. 9 vs. Bryant, junior guard Sarah Beal collected 10 steals to set the Friars single-game steals record, previously held by Helen Jessie-Mency 91. Mency collected nine steals vs. Pitt on Feb. 5, For some perspective - Mency set the previous mark for steals in a game four years before Beal was born (1995). MOST STEALS BY A BIG EAST PLAYER SINCE Sarah Beal s 10 steals on Dec. 9 vs. Bryant are the most by a BIG EAST Conference player since Andrell Smith (USF) recorded 12 on Dec. 22, 2012 vs. Creighton. DOUBLE-DOUBLE... In addition to setting the single game steals record at Providence, with 10 thefts, Beal also recorded 23 points vs. Bryant on Dec. 9 for her first double-double of the season. It marks the first points/steals double-double by a BIG EAST player since Dec. 22, 2012 when Andrell Smith (USF) recorded 27 points and 12 steals vs. Creighton. Beal notched her first double-double on Jan. 28, 2014 vs. Butler with 13 points and 13 assists. Each of the four players have competed in FIBA-sponsored events during their international careers, including three of the four players this past summer. Nogic played for Serbia [was born in Belgrade] in the FIBA U19 World Championships and FIBA U18 European Championships. Che represented Spain, who won the gold medal at the U18 European Championships. Botteghi competed for Italy at the FIBA U20 European Championships. SARAH BEAL NAMED TO BIG EAST WEEKLY HONOR ROLL... Sarah Beal was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Feb. 15. It marked Beal s fourth appearance of the season on the honor roll and fifth of her career. Last week, Beal notched a team-high 13 points, four assists and three steals to help Providence claim a victory over Creighton on Feb. 14. Beal also added three rebounds and one blocked shot. BEAL NAMED TO PRESEASON ALL-BIG EAST TEAM... Despite limited action in , junior Sarah Beal was named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team for the second-straight season. Prior to her sophomore campaign, Beal was an honorable mention pick. Beal concluded her rookie season [ ] with the Friars as a BIG EAST All-Freshman Team selection. Beal is the only current member of the team to have earned preseason or post-season honors from the BIG EAST. WHO S UP NEXT... The Friars will be the No. 10 seed in the upcoming BIG EAST Women s Basketball Tournament, held in Chicago, Ill. on March 5-8. Providence will face the No. 7 seed in the first round on March 5 at McGrath-Phillips Arena. DOUBLE-TROUBLE... Sarah Beal notched her second double-double of the season in the Friars game vs. Florida Gulf Coast on Dec. 12. Beal posted 12 points and a career-best 12 rebounds. Beal owns three double-doubles in her career and they all have come in different ways. On Jan. 28, 2014, she recorded 13 points and 13 assists vs. Butler. On Dec. 9, 2015, Beal posted 23 points and 10 steals vs. Bryant, followed by her 12 point/12 rebound performance vs. FGCU (Dec. 12). THREE FRIARS NOTCH 20-POINT GAMES VS. BRYANT... Sarah Beal (23pts), Jovana Yoyo Nogic (23pts) and Aliyah Miller (20pts) all reached the 20-point plateau vs. Bryant on Dec. 9. It marked the first time that the Friars have three 20+ point scorers in the same game since Nov. 9, 2013 in a victory at UMass Lowell. In that game, former Friars Alexis Harris (31pts) and Tori Rule (23pts) joined current junior guard Sarah Beal (20pts) to achieve the feat. FRIARS POST HIGHEST SHOOTING PERCENTAGE FROM THE FIELD SINCE On Nov. 25, the Friars shot 57.5-percent from the field vs. Hartford (23-40). It marked the highest field-goal percentage in a single game since Nov. 28, 2006 vs. New Hampshire (59.6-percent, 31-52). EIGHT OF 11 PLAYERS ON THE ROSTER ARE UNDERCLASSMEN... Providence has a youthful look in , as eight of its 11 players are freshmen or sophomores. The freshmen are the largest class, which is comprised of five players and there are three members in the sophomore class. The Friars have just one senior (Evi Iiskola) and two juniors (Sarah Beal and Aliyah Miller). INTERNATIONAL FLAIR... The Friars have four international players on their roster this season, including senior Evi Iiskola (Espoo, Finland), sophomore Allegra Botteghi (Bologna, Italy), freshman Clara Che (Barcelona, Spain) and freshman Jovana Yoyo Nogic (Lisbon, Portugal).

7 HEAD COACH FOURTH SEASON ALMA MATER PENN STATE 92 Susan Robinson Fruchtl was named the ninth women s basketball coach in program history at Providence College on April 9, She will embark on her fourth year with the program during the season. During her time at Providence, she has mentored two All-BIG EAST selections in former point guard Symone Roberts 13 and forward Alexis Harris 15. Roberts and Harris each earned recognition on the Second Team in 2013 and 2014, respectively. Current junior point guard Sarah Beal, who was one of Robinson Fruchtl s first recruits at Providence, was named to the BIG EAST All-Freshman Team in 2014 and has earned recognition on the league s Preseason All-BIG EAST Team in back-to-back seasons. She also has mentored eight BIG EAST All-Academic Team members, who have been honored for their work in the classroom a total of 11 times. Heading into the campaign, Robinson Fruchtl has a team comprised of 12 players, including one senior, two juniors, four sophomores and five freshmen. The lone senior is guard/forward Evi Iiskola, who came to Providence College at Robinson Fruchtl s first recruit. Additionally, the team features four international players, including Iiskola (Finland), junior guard/forward Allegra Botteghi (Italy) and freshmen guards Jovana Yoyo Nogic (Serbia/ Portugal) and Clara Che (Spain). Each of these players has competed in FIBA-sponsored events for their respective countries. During the summer of 2015, Che and Spain won the gold medal at the U-18 FIBA European Championships. Nogic competed for Serbia in the U-19 FIBA World Championships and the U-18 European Championships, and Botteghi represented Italy in the U-20 European Championships. Robinson Fruchtl came to Providence College after spending the previous five seasons at Saint Francis University (Pa.) from She guided the Red Flash to three-consecutive Northeast Conference Championship Games, captured two conference titles and advanced to the NCAA Tournament in 2010 and She garnered Northeast Conference Coach of the Year honors at the completion of the 2011 campaign after leading Saint Francis to a overall record and a 14-4 mark in the NEC. That same year, the Red Flash won the NEC regular-season title and the tournament title. The team s 22 victories in 2011 are tied for third-most in program history. During Robinson Fruchtl s tenure, a member of the Red Flash earned All-NEC honors six times and two others were selected to the NEC All-Rookie Team. Robinson Fruchtl spent eight seasons as an assistant coach at Penn State University ( , ). The 1992 Penn State graduate helped guide her alma mater to a record (.660) during her eight seasons on the sidelines, including four, 20-win seasons. A former All-America selection and Penn State s only recipient of the Wade Trophy, which is presented annually to the best women s college basketball player in NCAA Division I, Robinson Fruchtl rejoined the Penn State staff in May of 2004 after serving as an assistant from 1993 to During her time at Penn State, she worked primarily with post players and assisted with the recruitment of student-athletes. It was under her guidance that former Nittany Lion Amanda Brown became a third-round selection in the 2007 WNBA draft by the Los Angeles Sparks. After leaving Penn State in 1998, Robinson Fruchtl enrolled at Slippery Rock University to pursue her Master s degree in secondary guidance. During that time she served as a volunteer assistant from for the North Allegheny girls basketball team. Robinson Fruchtl also has a Master s in higher education, which she earned from PSU in In June of 2000, she took over as the head girls basketball coach at Beaver Area High School, where she also worked as one of the school s guidance counselors. She helped revive the basketball program, and led the Cats to the PIAA Class AAA Playoffs in each of her final two seasons. Then known as Susan Robinson, she graduated from Penn State with a B.S. in exercise and sports science in 1992 and was married to Tony Fruchtl in Robinson Fruchtl is one of only two players in Penn State history to accumulate 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds, and was the program s alltime leading scorer with 2,253 points until she was passed by Kelly Mazzante in In 1992, the same season she won the Wade Trophy, she was named a consensus All-American and earned GTE/CoSIDA Academic All-America honors. As a rookie in 1989, she was named Atlantic 10 Freshman of the Year. Twice she was named to the All-Atlantic 10 Conference team, and in 1991, she was tabbed Player of the Year. The Center Point, West Virginia native served as captain of the PSU squad that compiled a 29-2 record and a No. 1 National ranking in the final AP poll of the regular season.
