Visitors to the Ole Miss campus will be allowed to park in the Magnolia Drive parking lot at a first come first serve basis Wednesday-Friday. Once this lot is full all visitors must follow the Department of Parking & Transportation policies. Visitors to the Ole Miss campus are required to display a Visitors Day Pass Monday-Friday during the hours of 7am and 9pm if they do not want to receive a citation. These passes are $3.00 a day and can be picked up at the Department of Parking & Transportation located in Lester Hall. (Only checks or cash will be accepted.) Saturday-Sunday parking is open. Guests who do not want to purchase a Visitor Pass may park for free at the Jackson Avenue Center and ride the Express Brown Route directly to the Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center. Buses run Monday-Wednesday, 7:00am-6:15pm and Thursday-Friday, 7:00am to 9:15pm. For more information please go to and select O.U.T. Shuttle Brown Route. This helps us in the event we need to contact you about a situation related to your vehicle while it is parked on campus [i.e., gas leak, vehicular accident, etc.]. This will also afford us the opportunity to give to our visitors other helpful information that will make their campus visit pleasant and enjoyable. Visitors on campus are expected to comply with all basic traffic and parking regulations [i.e., fire hydrants, crosswalks, handicap parking, speed limit, etc.]. Ole Miss Page 12
13 PENALTIES The Southeastern Conference is seriously concerned about the conduct of participants at championship events. Each coach should make his/her student-athletes aware of the penalties for misconduct, which are listed in the regular-season section of the SEC men s tennis regulations. It is mandatory that the chair umpire and/or the championship referee enforce the ITA point-penalty system in the event there is a delay in play or unsportsmanlike conduct. The decision to disqualify a student-athlete for conduct and/or tardiness should be made by the championship referee with the approval of the championship committee, which always remains the ultimate authority on all such championship issues and policies. PRACTICE COURTS Teams are able to start practicing at Ole Miss on Tuesday, April 16, Teams must contact Brian Russell at or by at br@olemiss.edu to schedule their practice times for off-site courts on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Please also read the section on warm-ups as it relates to practice times on Wednesday and Thursday. Off site courts will be available at the on-campus Turner Center, University, MS from 12pm-7pm. PROTESTS Protests relating to matters that develop during the conduct of a match shall be made to the head referee. Other than interpretation of ITA rules, the head referee shall confer with the championship committee before a decision is made. REST PERIODS/MEDICAL TIMEOUTS Rest periods and media timeouts will be taken in accordance with current ITA regulations. Ole Miss Page 13
