The Bears will look to use the road trip to bounce back after a rough start to The club is over the past 10 contests and has lost four straight games away from the GIANT Center. Tonight is Hershey s first visit to Hartford since Oct. 26 when the Wolf Pack claimed a 3-2 overtime win. On this road trip, the Bears will also visit Providence on Friday and Springfield on Saturday. Chris Bourque scored the lone goal for Hershey as the Bears dropped a fourth consecutive game. Leading 2-0 entering the third period, the Phantoms added a pair of goals on the power play to put the game out of reach. After Hershey netminder Joe Cannata was whistled for delay of game, former Bear Chris Connor scored at 8:02 for Lehigh Valley. Cannata made an impressive left pad save on Greg Carey, but the rebound popped loose to Connor. The forward s shot beat Cannata over the glove to make it 3-0. Just 1:15 later, Jordan Weal scored on the man-advantage, deflecting a T.J. Brennan shot through the legs of Cannata to make it 4-0. The goal was Weal s 13th of the season. After a Scott Laughton goal at 11:42 to make it 5-0 Phantoms, Hershey was able to break Lehigh Valley netminder Alex Lyon s bid for a shutout. Forward Chris Bourque scored his 10th goal of the season, striking on the power play with a slap shot from the slot. Travis Boyd and Chandler Stephenson assisted on the goal. Both Andy Miele and T.J. Brennan notched three assists for Lehigh Valley. Carey and Laughton both scored a goal and an assist in the Phantoms victory. The Phantoms, who improved to with the win, outshot Hershey in the game. The Bears fell to and fell to 5th place in the Atlantic Division. Hershey went 1-for-7 on the power play while Lehigh Valley was 3-for-6. The club plays four straight games away from GIANT Center, visiting Hartford, Providence & Springfield this week, and Binghamton next week. Heading into this week, Hershey is tied for the second least road games played with 16. The Bears are away from Hershey this season. SILL HITS CENTURY MARK: Tonight s game in Hartford is forward Zach Sill s 100 th game with the Bears. The alternate captain has 34 points (16 goals, 18 assists) in 99 contests with the Bears. PARKER THE PUCK STOPPER: The Hershey Bears announced Tuesday the recall of goaltender Parker Milner from the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL. Milner, a Pittsburgh, PA native, has been a large part of South Carolina s success this season. The Pittsburgh native has posted a record and a.910 save percentage this season with the Stingrays. Milner s 2.37 goals against average is the third best mark in the ECHL, and his 17 victories are tied for the fourth most in the ECHL. Milner was a 2015 ECHL All- Star and prior to turning pro, was a two-time NCAA Champion with Boston College. BEARS-WOLF PACK FAST FACTS: Hershey forwards Christian Thomas and brothers Chris and Ryan Bourque all spent time with the Hartford Wolf Pack/Connecticut Whale franchise. Ryan Bourque was the captain of the Wolf Pack in before joining Hershey Thomas is just five points from tying his career high in points (35) set with Connecticut during the season Hershey has allowed five goals in three straight games entering tonight s contest.
