The Buckeyes (7-5, 2-0 Big Ten) have won five-consecutive games, while the Cardinals (7-4, 1-2 Big East) have won five of their last seven games this season. LAST TIME OUT Ohio State defeated No. 13 Indiana, 3-2, Sept. 30 in Columbus, to improve to 2-0 in the Big Ten standings. The Buckeyes got off to a great start against the Hoosiers, posting a 2-0 score at halftime. Junior Danica Deckard, sophomore Paula Pastor-Pitarque and senior Jenn Sciulli each scored goals in the conference victory. Ohio State wrapped up the second month of the season with a 7-2 overall record. QUEARLT, DECKARD LEAD BUCKEYES Juniors Berta Queralt and Danica Deckard have combined to score 36 of the Buckeyes 64 points this season. Queralt and Deckard, who both have 18 points (8g,2a), have been a major factor in the team s five-game win streak, collecting a combined 25 points. Deckard, a native of Selinsgrove, Pa., leads the team with five multi-point performances, while Queralt has tallied four this year. OHIO STATE VS. CARDINALS The Buckeyes lead the all-time series, 15-5, against Louisville. Last time out, Ohio State claimed a 4-3 double overtime win against the Cardinals in Louisville, Ky., Sept. 8, Berta Queralt scored the gamewinner just a minute into the second part of extra time on an unassisted score. The meeting Tuesday vs. Louisville will be the 21st game in the all-time series since the Buckeyes first played the Cardinals during the 1989 campaign. Jenn Sciulli leads the Big Ten with six defensive saves in THE WIN STREAK Here s a breakdown of the Buckeyes five-game win streak: Outscoring opponents, lead in shots-on-goal advantage in shots per game Have collected 47 offensive points 27 more points than opponents Danica Deckard and Berta Queralt have combined for 25 points (11g,3a) Ally Tunitis has a 1.36 goals-against average, posting 19 saves with a shutout Buckeye defense has limited opponents to 1.60 goals per game SCIULLI S DEFENSE Senior captain Jenn Sciulli posted her sixth defensive save of the season in the 5-0 win at Ball State Sept. 27. The Buckeye back leads the conference in defensive saves and is tied for sixth nationally in defensive stops. The native of Palmyra, Pa., Sciulli now has 20 career stops and is two saves away from tying former Buckeye Kim Bush ( ) for second on the OSU all-time list. SENIOR DAY SATURDAY Ohio State concludes the 2011 home schedule at 1 p.m. Saturday against Iowa at Buckeye Varsity Field. The game will be the team s Senior Day as Ally Tunitis and Jenn Sciulli will be recognized before the start of the game. The matchup vs. the Hawkeyes will be televised by Big Ten Network at taped-delay basis and will air at 2 p.m. Sunday.
