1 2019 ENVIRONMENTAL CUP BCEIA cordially invites you to the 18 th Annual Environmental Cup Hockey Tournament to be held at: Planet Ice Delta Nordel Court Friday, April 5 th to Sunday, April 7 th 12 T eam T ournament Format BCEIA MEMBER $800 per Team OR $60 per Player NON-MEMBER $1,400 per Team OR $85 per Player In this document you will find the roster registration sheet, weekend itinerary, team schedules, and directions to the Planet Ice Delta facility where all games will be taking place. For this year s tournament teams will be split up into a C ontractors division and Consultants division, with the round-robin leaders facing off in the finals. Top Awards will be given out this year on Saturday Evening, based on play up to that point, in the following categories: Vezina Trophy (Top Goalie) Conn Smythe Trophy (Most Points) All registration fees are due to BCEIA by Friday March 15th. Please have cheques made out to British Columbia Environment Industry Association. Fees can also be paid online at events.eply.com/2019cup or mailed to the BCEIA office. 3 Tournament Rules Players must wear CSA Helmets and Full Equipment. Warm up will be 5 minutes. Please be ready to go on the ice at the scheduled t ime. Games will be 3 15 minute periods. First 2 periods will be run time and the 3rd period stop time. Times subject to change. Standings will be determined by: 1. Total Points (2 points for a win, 1 point for an overtime/shootout loss, 0 points for a loss) 2. Head to Head 3. Most Total Goals 4. Least Goals Against Please note that all games will go to a 5 minute running time overtime followed by a shootout *if necessary*. All penalties result in a penalty shot to be taken by the player the infraction was against. Incidental contact ONLY. Dangerous stick play, or open ice hitting with intent to injure will result in an ejection from the game and remaining tournament play. No Fighting! If a player drops their gloves they will be ejected from the game and remaining tournament play. Slap shots are permitted but please use common sense. Where rules are not defined on this page, standard hockey rules by ASHL (Adult Safe Hockey League) will apply.
