The Ottawa Senators were out of town on Saturday, but there was still some important hockey played at the Canadian Tire Centre. The Imjin Classic was held to commemorate the 100th anniversaries of two regiments the PPCLI and R22R that served in the Korean War and played hockey on the frozen Imjin River. The Classic, a re-enactment of the historic games played on the

Added by The Korean War Veteran: Actually, if you look at them through glasses or a sniper scope, the veterans seem to resemble Dennis Moore from North Bay, Ontario, who played in the first Imjin game in 1951 (he had served in Korea with 2nd and 1st Princess Patricias and to his left are three boisterous veterans from Ottawa, Maurice Lavoie who served with the R22eR, George Guertin who is a proud veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy and Jean Paul St Aubin, who also served very proudly with the R22eR. We don t know which veterans won the shouting match.
