1 2011 DULUTH FALL FESTIVAL PARADE We re so excited you are participating in the 29 th Annual Fall Festival Parade on Saturday, September 24, 2010! IMPORTANT CHANGES BELOW! Please arrive at the parade line-up by 9:00am * Float numbers will indicate where you will report for the parade line-up. o Float numbers preceding a letter, report to Duluth High School or the Monarch School. o All other participants will line up on Main Street. * Lots A, B, C & D line-up at Duluth High School o Enter from Brock Road and Buford Hwy or Hwy 120 and Hill Street o Vehicle parking is allowed behind the high school gym ONLY o No parking in lots A & C o Only vehicles that will be in the parade are allowed in lot B * Lot M line-up at the Monarch School (Old Duluth Middle School). o Enter from Main Street PLEASE REMEMBER THAT ONLY VEHICLES PARTICIPATING IN THE PARADE WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER THE PARADE LINE-UP AREA. Parking: If your vehicle will not be used in the parade, we HIGHLY recommend that you take a shuttle to the Monarch School and walk to your parade line-up on Main Street. If you are lining up at Duluth High School, parking will be allowed behind the school gymnasium only. The Duluth Police Department will be directing traffic at the end of the parade. Please follow their directions. If you are going to the Festival after the parade, turn right onto Hardy Street and do not stop and unload passengers until you reach the back of the Festival Center. If you are participating in the opening ceremony, you will be meeting Kay Montgomery at the back of the festival center. Candy may be lightly tossed into the crowd THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED. Do not toss candy into the street and please use candy heavy enough to toss. Light candy, like Sweet Tarts, is difficult to use. Please stay close to the float in front of you and do not allow any large gaps in the parade. PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE OF THE RESIDENTS ALONG THE PARADE ROUTE. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION!
