1 2018 Wood River Halloween Parade Dear Participant, Below you will find the line-up assignment for the 2018 Wood River Halloween Parade. Everyone in your group must know what your assignment is; this will help us tremendously on Saturday morning. Enter your assigned street from George St, if there is no number attached to your line up assignment, it doesn t matter what order you are in. The line-up is scheduled for no sooner than 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, the 27th with the parade leaving promptly at 10:30 a.m. Please be at your assigned position by 10:15 a.m. In order to better assist us, please have your group meet at the designated street. Please use as few vehicles as possible to meet at the line up area. Vehicles that are not in the parade should not be parked or driven on the line up streets. If your group is not on the list below, please line up on Wilson Ave. The parade will leave Emerick Park and go South on Sixth Street to Ferguson; West on Ferguson to Wood River Avenue; North on Wood River Avenue to Central Park at Eaton and Wood River Ave. All floats participating in the parade will be eligible for an award, so please assemble at the park following the parade. If you do not stick around, you can t win! Please remember, the parade is for the children, keep any advertising secondary to your Halloween theme. This does not apply to emergency and antique vehicles. Also, political/campaign literature is not to be distributed along the parade route. In the event of rain, the parade will be held Sunday, October 28th at 1 p.m. The decision to cancel the Saturday date will be made that morning by the parade committee. *****NOTICE***** If you are operating an emergency vehicle in the parade, please be considerate and keep the horns and sirens to a minimum. Since people are lining the streets and bands are involved in the parade, we request your cooperation. If your group has buses or other transportation meeting at the end of the parade, please have them park in the high school lot, not on Whitelaw or in the Round House parking lot.
