Questions regarding entry instructions should be ed to support@directathletics.com. Each coach must have a Direct Athletics username and password for his/her school. If you don't know your username and password, you will be able to create one or retrieve your existing account by following the instructions below. You will use the same account to enter all meets run through Direct Athletics. If you already have a Direct Athletics account for your Track & Field team and know your username and password, then proceed as follows: 1. Go to 2. In the login box, enter your username and password and click Login. (Remember that your password is case sensitive) If you do NOT know your username and password, proceed as follows: 1. Go to 2. Note About Direct Athletics Accounts Most coach accounts control a school's Men's AND Women's team. You control only one gender at time, so you will complete the below steps for your Men and then switch to your Women's team and repeat the process (or vice versa). The team you are controlling is listed on the blue navigation bar across the top of your account. Important Notes Regarding Online Entries o For each relay squad, you must enter at least 4 and up to 8 relay athletes (4 + 4 alternates) o You must enter ALL athletes online in order for them to compete. This includes relay only athletes and relay alternates. o All schools (colleges/junior colleges/high schools) must enter athletes through a TEAM account. & % ( & ( % * ) 1/9/ :36:03 AM Relay Event Entry Procedure Please enter actual relay marks that have been achieved in the 2008 or 2009 season. Relay times may also be determined by adding the four best open/split times for athletes from either the 2008 or 2009 seasons. After entering your seed mark for each relay event on-line, you will have spaces to enter up to 8 athlete s names per relay. Please include all four runners (in order, spaces 1-4) and any alternates (up to 4 per event, spaces 5-8) in the 8 spaces provided under each relay. You must enter each member of the relay team and any alternate(s) for the relay so we may assign a bib number for each member. Any relay runners who may compete on a relay team must be entered into the meet and have a bib number to compete. % & ' + (, University/College Division There will be an entry fee of $25 per athlete in University/College, with a maximum of $300 per team. Men's and Women's teams are considered separate. All entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Entry fees are for the total number of athletes who qualify for the meet. Please be sure to include all relay runners and alternates when you do your team entries online. High School Division There will be an entry fee of $20 per athlete, with a maximum of $100 per team. Boy's and Girl's teams are considered separate. All entry fees are non-refundable and nontransferable. All payment must be received prior to the competition or on the day of the competition. Team packets will not be released if payment is not received. Plan ahead and request payment from your school districts far enough in advance. P.O. forms will be accepted. You may edit and update your entries online anytime before the entry deadline. Once entries close there will be no additional entries accepted. All submitted entries to direct athletics by the March 18 th deadline will be considered FINAL. Please be sure to print a copy of your team s entries and bring it to the meet as confirmation. There will be NO additions or substitutions on the day of the meet, only scratches can be made. A list of those athletes who were qualified and accepted into the meet will be posted on Thursday, March 20, 2008 by 6:00pm. If you or your athletes are not on the list of accepted athletes, then you or your athletes are not accepted into the meet!!! High School Information Each team can submit only TWO athletes per event!!! There will be a 6 heat limit for all lane races. If there are more entries than lanes, then a descending order list will be used to determine the top 54 competitors. If this should occur then each school will be assured at least one competitor. Please use 2007 or 2008 best marks only. A.I.A rules will apply in all cases (i.e. false start, jewelry, uniform, etc). State qualifying information will be handled by meet management. Drachman Stadium o 8:00am 11:00am 1 % % ( & ( % Facility The Roy P. Drachman stadium is located at Plumer and 15 th Street (1.5 miles from the Arizona campus). The track is a brand-new nine (9) lane Tartan surface. Rings are bushed concrete and runways are Tartan Surface. Timing will be automated timing using the Lynx Timing System. Admission Spectator admission will be $6.00 for adults $4.oo for seniors, and $4.00 for youths. Spectators are NOT allowed on the track at any time. Parking Parking around the fenced area of Roy P. Drachman stadium is free of charge and open to the public. Parking inside of the stadium will be closed off and only available for working staff and officials only. Spikes Spikes with one-quarter (1/4 ) or three-eighths (3/8 ) will be allowed. Warm-up Area Warm-up and cool-downs are to take place outside of the track. There is a big grassy field located to the east of the stadium that may be utilized for warm-ups and cool-downs. Track Clerk Clerking for track events will take place on the North East side of the stadium by the athletic training building. Athletes must check in at the clerking area when the First Call is made, which is approximately 20 minutes before the start of the event, but may check in one hour prior to there event. Athletes are to report to the staging area 15 minutes before the start of their race, which is located next to the clerking area. At that time they will be escorted out to the track by an escort. If you or your athletes are competing in a field event at the same time as a running event, make sure to check out with the field event officials before reporting to the start line of the running event. Field Event Check-in Field participants must check-in with the head judge of their event NO LATER THAN 30 minutes prior to the start of their event. They may be in the area of their event one hour prior to the competition

4 & % ( & ( % * ) 1/9/ :36:03 AM 1 % % ( & ( % Implement Weigh-ins Implement weigh-ins are located in the building on the south end of the stadium and must take place during the listed times below. All implements will be impounded at the time of weigh-in. Certified implements will then be transported to the event site. Only certified implements may be used during official warm-ups and competition. Meet management will provide a small selection of implements for use by any competitor. If your implement is not certified it can not be used for warm-ups or competition. Friday from 9:00am 11:00am & 2:00pm 4:00pm Saturday from 7:00am 9:30am Shot Putters DO NOT put the shots on the grass or on the track. Putting the shot in any other area other than the shot impact area will result in disqualification. Awards High School -- Willie Williams Classic/USA track Coaches Association medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each event as well as relays. Bib Numbers/Hip Numbers All Athletes are to wear their bib numbers on the front of their uniforms, with the exception of the pole vaulters, who can wear it on the back of your uniform. Hip numbers are to be worn on the athletes left hip. Trainers The University of Arizona athletic trainers will set up in the North East area of the stadium. Your trainers may also set up in this area. University of Arizona athletic trainers are prohibited from providing treatment or taping of any High School athletes. First Aid technicians will be onsite to provide and first aid care if it becomes necessary. Personal Stereo Devices PLEASE BE ADVISED OF THE FOLLOWING PAC-10 REGULATIONS: THE USE OF PERSONAL STEREO DEVICES (E.G. WALKMANS, PORTABLE CD PLAYERS, HEADSETS, ECT.) AS WELL AS CELL PHONES ARE PROHIBITED IN THE OFFICIAL WARM-UP AND COMPETITIVE AREAS (DESIGNATED BY THE HOST INSTITUTION) FOR BOTH REGULAR SEASON AND THE CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP. THE MEET REFEREE WILL ISSUE A WARNING TO ANYONE USING SUCH A DEVICE. A SECOND VIOLAITON OF THE RULE AT THE SAME MEET WOULD RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM THAT MEET. AT OUR FACILITY THAT WILL INCLUDE ANYWHERE WITHIN THE STADIUM FENCES, EXCEPT THE TRAINING TENT, BLEACHERS, AND SPECTATOR AREA ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE STADIUM.
