1 UC DAVIS TRACK & FIELD 2018 AGGIE OPEN FRI.-SAT., MARCH 9-10, 2018 LOCATION University of California, Davis Woody Wilson Track (Map enclosed) Hammer ring (west side of campus) DATE FACILITIES TIMING DIVISIONS ENTRIES Friday, March (Hammer throw/javelin) & Saturday, March 10, 2018 The Aggie Open will be held on the Woody Wilson track. Shot, Discus, High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Pole Vault, and Javelin are all located inside the track. The Hammer Ring is located directly south of the Schaal Aquatics Facility. (see enclosed map) Red Cap Timing ( Women: JC/ Collegiate /Open Men: JC/ Collegiate / Open Scoring: In order to comply with NCAA regulation regarding countable competitions, all NCAA Division 1 programs will have results at this meet scored. The entry process will take place online at directathletics.com. In order to enter athletes into the meet, collegiate/club teams will need to access their account (or create one) at Follow the directions online. The deadline to make additions or changes to your entry list is 11:59 p.m. on Monday, March 5, Any consideration for late entry will be subject to UC Davis sta approval and will incur a $25 late fee per individual. Be sure to print a copy of your entries when you are nished. Please enter veri able marks for the purpose of seeding races and ights. Please note that entry to the meet is NOT GUARANTEED. An accepted entry list will be posted on by Wednesday, March 7. Final heats and ights will follow by Thursday, March 8. Unattached/Individual/Open athletes will also enter through by establishing an individual account. All such entries will require payment at the time of entry. Please note that Club/ Open relays will need to be entered using a team account. RULES WEIGH-INS WARM-UP AREA This meet will be conducted according to NCAA rules and regulations. No false starts will be allowed. Running events will be conducted as section nals. Field events (except PV and HJ) will consist of preliminary ights with the top eight (8) collegiate competitors advancing to the nal round. An open athlete with a mark in the top nine (9) from the preliminary round will also advance to the nal. Minimum marks for throwing events will be established. Each competitor s rst throw will be measured along with each throw beating the minimum mark thereafter. All weigh-ins will be conducted at Woody Wilson Track in the shed. Friday s weigh-ins will occur between 10:30 a.m. - noon. All implements for Saturday competition must be weighed in between 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the shed at the south end of the facility. Warm ups should be conducted on the intramural field adjacent to the track & field facility. A separate entry gate near the clerk of the course will allow access between the warm-up area and the stadium. No warm-up will be permitted on the infield. Continued on next page...

2 EVENT CHECK-IN LOCKER ROOMS ENTRY FEES PARKING All athletes in the running events must check in with the clerk of the course (located at the south end of the backstretch, near the start of the 1500m start line) 30 minutes prior to their event. Honest E ort & Failure to Participate Rule (Rule & 4.2.2). For this meet an athlete is not considered declared until they check in for their event. Athletes/coaches have until the end of event check-in time to formally scratch from an event (30 min prior to the start in track events, 60 min in eld events). If an athlete is not scratched from an event and does not compete, the athlete has failed to participate and is out of the rest of the meet. The honest e ort determination is made only after any event when an athlete appears to have competed in an event without giving his/her best e ort for the circum- stances. If a violation of honest e ort is determined by the meet referee, then the ath- lete could be subject to disquali cation from the remainder of the meet. The athlete could be scratched if he/ she fails to check in. Field event competitors should check in at the event site 45 minutes prior to the event. The formal scratch period will be one hour prior to scheduled event. Locker room facilities are not available. Entry fees are $20.00, per event, for each athlete accepted into the meet, $40.00 per relay team (per event), or a team fee of $ per gender. No refunds will be granted for scratched entries. All fees are non-refundable. Checks or money orders should be made payable to: UC Regents. Entry Fees are to be paid prior to competition on the day of the meet. Note: UC Davis Track & Field is pleased to extend complimentary meet entry to all current UC Davis students with valid ID. Please contact meet director with veri able marks by the entry deadline. Please have your student ID to present at packet pickup on meet day. Parking for the hammer throw on Friday afternoon will be in Lot 56 and will cost $9. Park- ing for Friday s javelin competition will be in the North End Parking Structure, adjacent to Woody Wilson Track, and will cost $9.
