1 Course: Participants will run or walk a 5K (3.1 miles) certified USATF course. The toll booths in Weehawken mark both the start and finish of the race. There is a cone turnaround once participants reach the NYC side of the tunnel. Registration: $40 if registered/postmarked by April 9. $50 registration fee after April 9 and on the day of race. Online Registration closes April 9 at midnight. No additional fee for team entries. Teams must register by April 1st whether it is online or via mail. If teams are submitting hard copies of their registration, they must be mailed all together and received by the Special Olympics New Jersey office NO LATER THAN April 9. Race Times: First race start - 8:00 a.m. for those who run 30 minutes or under * Second race start - 8:45 a.m. for runners and walkers over 30 minutes * * Important note to participants: There is a specific time allotted for each race. If participants do not complete their race in the time allotted, he or she will be escorted by race officials in a vehicle and brought back to the finish line.

2 Entry Options: First Race Start participant must run 30 minutes or under and will automatically receive a disposable timing chip for official timing result. Second Race Start Runner or Walker will complete race over 30 minutes. Second Race Start Walker DOES NOT get a disposable timing chip for official timing result Each participant will receive a disposable timing chip with their race number unless they are a WALKER. Any walker needing a timing chip to register an official time results must select the appropriate registration box. Event T-Shirt: All registered participants will receive an event shirt while supplies last. Sizes are not guaranteed. Incentives: Earned incentive items can be picked up at designated tent before or after participant competes. TOP FUNDRAISER will receive 2 tickets to a Yankees Game!!! Level 1 Participants who raise $60 - $99: TBD Level 2 Participants who raise $100 - $299 Level 2 Participants who raise $300 - $749: TBD Level 3 Participants who raise $750 and more: TBD Note: In order to meet a particular incentive level, a participant needs to raise that money on their own. For example, if there are 3 people in a family

3 and between them they raise $100, this does not meet Level 1. Person A must pay entry fee plus raise the balance to meet the $100 incentive level. Combined entry fees for all three family members plus balance to meet $100 does not qualify for an incentive item. Families CANNOT combine money to meet a particular incentive level. Teams: A team is made up of individual registrations and its respective fees. Each individual participant on a team must pay the registration fee; NOT just the team captain. All teams will have a team captain. We will need this individual's name, telephone number and in case there are questions. Team captains should check the "Team" section periodically for this event as possible updates will be made with pertinent information. Male Team: Minimum of 3 people. Female Team: Minimum of 3 people. Coed Team: A coed team consists of a minimum of 3 people with at least 1 being female. Awards are presented based on top 3 finishers of your team. If a female does not make the top three, the third fastest male time will be dropped and replaced by the fastest female time and vice versa.

4 Stretch with Joshua from Mind Over Matter Health & Fitness of NYC Joshua is a personal trainer who has offered to lead a morning stretch session with our participants again. This will occur from approximately 7:30 a.m. 8:30 a.m. If you participated in either the 2013, 2014 or 2015 Lincoln Tunnel Challenge 5K, you were there to witness a marathon of people, all ages, stretching at the same time. Security All persons and items are subject to search and must go through a security check. No bags will be allowed past the toll booths near the race start/finish. All bags will be subject to a security check when entering the registration area. If you do bring a bag, we recommend using a clear see through bag to make the bag check process quicker. Traffic We cannot stress enough to plan for traffic and to leave yourself PLENTY of time! There are only so many roads that lead into Weehawken. 5 NJ Transit Rail Line Visit NJTRANSIT's website. Click Hudson-Bergen Line and select Lincoln Harbor (117 Waterfront Terrace, Weehawken) Race Awards Fred Muser and John Scala Memorial Awards presented to the overall male and female winners based on combined race results. Top Three Males and Top Three Females the following age categories will be awarded medals that have the LTC 5K logo and the seal of Special Olympics. The ribbons will be customized with the race date. 9 & under & above Henry Barrios Memorial Award presented to the top individual fundraiser. He or she will receive 2 box tickets to a New York Yankees game. Age group awards will be mailed to winners after the race. The following awards will be awarded the day of the race: Overall Male and Female, 1 st Place Male, Female and Coed teams, the two top individual fundraisers and the top fundraising team. Team Awards Participants on a team can compete in either start time as results are combined. Awards are presented based on top 3 finishers of your team. 6 Post-Race Activities Overall Male and Female, 1 st Place Male, Female and Coed teams, the two top individual fundraisers and the top fundraising team will be awarded at the conclusion of the second race at approximately 10:45 A.M. Water*, sport drinks, fruit, yogurt and more will be provided to participants back at the registration area. *Water will also be available BEFORE the race at the registration area Race Results We will have two areas set up so racers can view results. It does take time to as our timing company has to combine results from two races. There will also be touch screen kiosks where runners can look up their times. If you were pre-registered for the race you can also receive your preliminary race time via or smartphone app. Mid Atlantic Timing Company will have results posted online within 24 hours of the event.
