6 SHUTTLE AND BIKE TRANSPORTATION TO T1 BIKE TRANSPORTATION TO T1 When the bikes enter T2 area, Bikes will be safely transported to T1 by event staff. This automatic process has been designed to help with bike and gear Check-Out at T1 (Haeundae Beach) area. SHUTTLE BUSES BETWEEN T1 AND T2 On race day between 8:00am 4:30pm, there will be shuttle buses operating between T1 and T2 area. These shuttle buses can be used for free by athletes families and event volunteers. Athletes may also take the buses to return to the T1 area after finishing their race. T2 CHECK-OUT OPTION IS AVAILABLE If athletes prefer to Check-Out their bike and gear at T2 rather than the default 'T1 Check-Out', athletes can change this option by checking 'T2 Check-Out option during Check- In. If this option is checked, the bike will not be moved to T1 and the bike bag at T1 will be moved to T2 to allow T2 Check- Out. As a result, athletes that checked T2 Check-Out option can Check-Out his/her bike and bike bag at T2, Worldcup Villiage, Gijang. PRE RACE INFORMATION WELCOME CEREMONY Please prepare your ID if you didn t check-in before welcome ceremony. Family can buy banquet ticket as 40,000 won in front of the gate. CHECK IN Check In for IRONMAN 70.3 Busan athlete will take place on Friday June 17 between 10am and 6pm and on Saturday June 18 between 10 am and 4pm at the registration tent located in Songrim Park, Busan. It is compulsory for all athletes to Check In during these times. No athletes will be accepted after 4pm Saturday June 18. Relay Teams require all members to Check In at same time. You are required to show photo identification to Check-In i.e. Driver s License, Passport. Please do not take your bike into the Check In queue as this congests the area and makes it dangerous for other athletes. We will prepare bike racks next to Check In Area for bike storage. It is against race rules for someone to race under your name or for you to race under someone else s name: this will result in suspension and ineligibility to race in other IRONMAN events. During Check-In, Athletes will receive the following: Race bib ID wristband Swim cap Helmet sticker (placed on the front of the helmet and left side of the helmet) Bike seat post sticker (to wrap around the seat post of your bike and stick to itself) Body Tattoos (number to be placed on both upper arm) Bike bottle with IRONMAN 70.3 Busan logo Street Gear bag Run bag Bike bag Timing Chips will be received during Bike Check In on Saturday located at T1. ID WRISTBAND 6

7 Your ID wristband must be worn at all times as this will be your entry to athlete only restricted areas. This is your only means of entering transition on race day and collecting your gear and bike after the race. Please note, only athletes are permitted into the transition area TIMING You will collect your Timing Chip and confirm your identity with the timing personnel during Bike Check In at T1 on Saturday. At this stage you will check that the number on your chip corresponds with your race number and personal information. Please ensure you put it in a safe place and remember to have it with you on the race morning. Timing Chips must be worn on your left ankle. On the race morning your timing chip must be worn as you enter the swim start, officials will be checking this. If you do not start the race or pull out of the race for any reason, you are to return the Timing Chip to the Drop Out Clerk located at the Event Information Centre. If your Timing Chip is not returned or is lost you will be charged USD$150 for a replacement. Timing results will include your swim, bike, run, finish time and your overall and category results. MECHANICAL SUPPORT PRE RACE Bike mechanic tents will be available in the IRONMAN expo area. You can change tires, check settings and prepare accessories at the expo before the race. RACE DAY T1 bike mechanic services will be available on race day morning. One mechanic tent will be on the bike course. The on-course mechanic tent is located at northern turnaround point of Road #31. You will pass this tent 3 times. Please check the position at bike course map. Two roaming bike mechanics will be available on our bike course. The roaming mechanics will carry spare tubes and a pump but not wheels, tubulars or tires. RUN BAG CHECK IN Athletes can Check-In his/her run bag at either Transition area. At the T1 area, athletes can Check-In his/her run bag at run bag Check-In tent next to T1. The T1 Run bag Check-In tent will be operating between 10:00am and 5:30pm on Saturday. These run bags will be moved to T2 on Saturday and placed at your designated bike rack location. Athletes can Check-In his/her run bag at T2 area also. The T2 area will be operating from 1:00pm to 6:00pm on Saturday June 18. It is compulsory for all athletes to Check-In their Run bag during these times. BIKE & HELMET INSPECTION Your bike and helmet will be visually inspected by Bike Inspection staff and you will be allowed into transition upon passing this inspection. This is not a guarantee of safety. Athletes are responsible for their bikes being in safe working order. You should ensure your bike, as well as your helmet, is in safe working order before presenting it at transition to avoid rejection. Inspectors will be checking bike for such things as: End plugs on handle bars Tires in reasonable condition Stripped cabling At least one water bottle cage Brakes in working order Inspectors will be checking helmet for such things as: Your helmet must be approved by a recognized testing authority (eg. National Standards Certified). Alterations to any part of the helmet are not allowed. This includes, but is not limited to, any alteration to the manufacturer s chinstrap, and the addition or removal of an outer cover. Helmets must be undamaged. After the inspection, certification sticker will be attached onto the top tube of the bike. Bike mechanics will be on hand near T1 to perform small mechanical alterations to bikes which have failed the safety inspection. 7

8 BIKE CHECK IN It is compulsory for all athletes to Check-In their Bike to T1 located at Songrim Park between 10:00am and 4:30pm on Saturday. Only bikes are allowed to be racked in transition overnight. Other bike gear (Helmet, Bike shoes etc.) are not allowed to be left at transition area overnight. STREET GEAR BAGS PRE RACE DROP OFF You will have the opportunity to store your Street Gear at the Gear Drop in T1 from 5:15am to 6:10am on Sunday June 19. Please ensure your number is clearly visible on your bag. Your Street Gear bag will be moved to Finish Line before your finish. Bike pumps may be handed in with the Street Gear Bag and will be stored separately to the bags and will be available for collection post race. You will be provided with a bike pump sticker. POST-RACE COLLECTION Your Street Gear Bag will be available for collection at the Finish line area. Please note it is the responsibility of the athlete to collect, hand in and pick up their bag from the appropriate location at the appropriate time, as well as ensure they are marked correctly. WITHDRAWAL & TIMING CHIP RETURNS If you withdraw from the race prior to race day (after you have checked in and received your pack), please inform the Event Information Center in the T1 area. Race day withdrawals need to be recorded at a Drop Out Clerk located at Event Information Center in Finish line area or T1 area. If you fail to return your timing chip, a USD$150 replacement charge will apply. If you Checked In and elect not to start it is your responsibility to inform us. MEDICAL Your safety is of utmost importance to us. If you are unsure about your ability to complete the race or are not feeling 100% physically fit in the lead up to the event, IRONMAN highly recommends you seek medical advice from your doctor. EVENT INFORMATION CENTER There will be an Event Information Center located at the T1 area. Opening hours are follows: Sunday 19 June 10:30am 4:00pm The Event Information Centre will have maps, athlete lists, event programs, transportation information and other helpful event related information. IRONMAN LIVE IRONMAN Live provides race updates via the IRONMAN Live Blog and Athlete Tracker, for your friends and family to keep up with all the action. Tune into to catch all the LIVE action from 6:30am on race day MERCHANDISE Official event merchandise will be available for purchase from the IRONMAN Merchandise Store at the IRONMAN Expo, next to the T1 area during the following hours: Friday 17 June 11:00am 6:00pm Saturday 18 June 10:00am 6:00pm Sunday 19 June 02:00pm 6:00pm * Trading hours are subject to change PRE RACE BRIEFING FOR PRO ATHLETE The mandatory pre race briefing for Pro athletes will be given in English. The Briefing will be located at: Location: Studio 2, 2F Haeundae Grand Hotel. Time: Sat 1:00pm - 2:00pm PRE RACE BRIEFING 8

9 The mandatory pre race briefings will be given in both English & Korean. Athlete need to attend one of scheduled briefing. The Briefing will be located at: Location: Convention Hall of Haeundae Grand Hotel. Electrolyte Drink (Gatorade) Bananas (cut in half) Bike bottles will be used to offer water and Gatorade. The distance of the Bike Aid Stations are: Race briefing English : Sat 4:10pm - 4:50pm Race briefing Korean : Sat 5:00pm - 5:40pm 24.2K (AS1),35.6K (AS1), 47K (AS1), 60.9K (AS2), 73.4K (AS3) RACE DAY INFORMATION CAR PARKING AT T1 Please check the swim map for location of the parking areas. Most of parking lots cost about 1,000 won per 30 minutes. CAR PARKING AT FINISH LINE Please check the Finish Line Venue map for location of the parking areas. These parking areas are free of charge. TEAM RELAY TRANSITION There are relay team tents at each transition area. All team relay athletes must transfer their timing chip at the relay transition tent. T2 will be open from 8:00 am on race day. Timing chips act as the relay baton, the swimmer must start with the timing chip and the runner must cross the finish line wearing it around his/her left ankle. ATHLETE RACE NUMBER Wearing a race number is compulsory for both the bike leg (helmet sticker) and the run leg (race bib) for all athletes. Your number must be clearly visible. You must not fold, cut or manipulate your race number in any way. BIKE AID STATIONS The Bike Course has 3 Aid Stations with 5 passes in total. AS1: 500m before Imrang IC on road #31, 24.2K from T1. You will pass this aid station 3 times. AS2: North gate of Jangan Industry zone, 60.9K from T1. AS3: Myeongrae Industrial Zone, 73.4K from T1. The Bike Aid Stations will offer: Slow down when entering the pickup zone, but don t stop! If you DO NOT require any product from a Bike Aid Station please stay to the left of the roadway. Discard bottles in designated area prior before the pickup zone, otherwise you may incur a littering infringement. RUN AID STATIONS The Run Course has 5 Aid Stations with 10 passes in total. The Run Aid Stations will offer: Water Electrolyte Drink (Gatorade) Cola Bananas Cherry tomatoes Energy gels. The Run Aid Stations are located at: Aid Stations 1, 2,3,4,5 All stations are located on the riverside pathway spaced approximately 1.85K apart. The Recovery Area is located in the Athlete zone adjacent to the finish line area and will offer lunch box and with variety of drinks after your finish. DISCARD / DROP ZONES Each Aid Station will have drop zones clearly marked either side of the station (approx. 200m on bike and 100m on run). This is the area to discard bottles, gel wrappers, banana skins etc. Discarding items on any other part of the course except at designated drop zones may result in a littering infringement or disqualification. TOILETS Water 9

10 Additional race day toilets will be located around the course as: T1: 2 Big mobile toilets. Bike: Each aid station has one mobile toilet. T2: 1 Big mobile Toilet Run: 5 Toilets accessible 10 times. CUT OFF TIMES The below cut off times are for all athletes across the race. Should an athlete be unable to reach one of these cut off times, they will no longer be able to continue racing. Race results will be classified as a Did Not Finish (DNF). Event Personnel will assist in transporting the athlete back to the event precinct via Sag Wagons. The below information outlines each leg s cut off policy in further detail. SWIM Athletes must complete the 1.9km swim leg in 1 hour 10 minutes from an athlete s individual start time. The Swim rolling start will run between at 6:40am and will be finished before 6:50 am. Swim course will be closed at 08:00 am. BIKE Athletes must complete the 90.1km bike leg in 5 hours 15 minutes from an athlete s individual start time. The Bike course will be closed at 12:05pm. There is Intermediate cut-off at: RUN Intermediate cut-off position: Aid station 3 at 11:45am Athletes must complete the 21.1km run leg in 8 hours 30 minutes from an athlete s individual start time. AGE GROUP CATEGORIES Age is calculated 31 December 2016 CODE CATEGORY GENDER MIN. AGE MAX. AGE Pro athletes will be having a mass, beach start. Age groupers will be having a beach, rolling start based on each participant s estimated swim finish time. Athletes have to swim a rectangle course in a clockwise direction. 10

11 For the safety and assistance to swimmers, water safety personnel and rescue vessels will be available on course. Wetsuit is optional but it is highly recommended based on the approximate water temperature of 18C. There are buoys located at each turn point and line of sight buoys to help athletes guide along the course. Athletes must keep the buoy on their right shoulder and keep to the left side of the buoy as they make the two turns and passing sight buoys. These zones are: Under 25 mins mins mins mins Over 40 mins SWIM COURSE RULES (a) Each swimmer must wear an official swim cap provided by the Race Officials. Failing to wear a swim cap at all times during the swim segment of the Race may result in a time penalty enforced by Race Referees after the swim segment in T1. (b) Wearing swim goggles or a face mask is neither prohibited nor required; (c) The use of fins, gloves, paddles, or flotation devices of any kind (including pull buoys) is prohibited; (DSQ) (d) The use of a cast or splint must be pre-approved by the Event specific Head Referee; (Stop-and-Go Time Penalty or DSQ) (e) Neoprene or any other booties are prohibited unless the water temperature is 18.3 degrees C/65.0 degrees F, or colder; (Stop-and-Go Time Penalty) (f) When the use of wetsuits is prohibited, clothing covering any part of the arms below the elbow and clothing covering any of the leg below the knee is deemed illegal equipment and is not permitted during the swim segment of the Race but may be worn after completion of the swim segment; (DSQ) (g) Individual paddlers or escorts are prohibited; (DSQ) (h) Any assistance during the swim will result in disqualification if forward progress was made. Athletes are permitted to use kayaks and boats as aid, as long as no forward progress is made. Special provisions are made for athletes in the Physically Challenged Open ( PC Open ) division. Race Officials and medical personnel reserve the right to remove athletes from the course if such removal is determined medically necessary; (i) It is the sole responsibility of each athlete to know and follow the prescribed swimming course. No adjustments in times or results will be made, for any reason whatsoever, for athletes who fail to follow the proper course; (j) Indecent exposure/public nudity is prohibited at all times during an event; (DSQ) and (k) Swim course cut-off times will be stated in the Event-specific Athlete Information Guide. Section 4.02 WETSUIT RULES (a) For age-group athletes, wetsuits may be worn in water temperature up to and including 24.5 degrees C/76.1 degrees F (DSQ) (b) For professional athletes, wetsuits may be worn in water temperatures up to and including 21.9 degrees C/71.5 degrees F; (DSQ) (c) A race kit may be worn underneath the wetsuit; (d) The thickness of the wetsuit may not exceed 5mm. If the wetsuit consists of two or more pieces then the combined thickness of the overlapping pieces may not exceed 5 mm; (DSQ) and (e) Wetsuits are mandatory for professional athletes and age-group athletes for water temperatures below 16 degrees C/60.8 degrees F. (DSQ) ANY ATHLETE ELECTING NOT TO RACE MUST NOTIFY THE EVENT INFORMATION CENTRE IMMEDIATELY. ABOVE ALL, THE SAFETY OF EACH SWIMMER IS OUR PRIME CONCERN. A FULL SWEEP OF THE COURSE WILL BE MADE DIRECTLY BEHIND THE LAST SWIMMER. VISUAL AID WILL BE PROVIDED 11

12 BY THE LIFEGUARDS, KAYAKS, BUOYS AND AQUATIC CRAFTS THAT LINE THE COURSE. Please note the swim course will not be manned by event officials or water safety prior to the race day. Swimming at all other times other than the race is at your own risk. TRANSITION PROCEDURE OF T1 At the Swim Exit, you will run approx. 150m to enter the transition area to your allocated bike rack passing by water station. Athletes are to equip themselves for the bike leg at their bike location. TRANSITION RULES OF T1 1. You must put discarded equipment (i.e. swim cap, wetsuit) into your bike bag in your rack position. 2. You must fasten your helmet before removing your bike from the rack in transition. 3. Your helmet must remain securely fastened at all times that you are in control of your bike. 4. You must not mount or dismount your bike until reaching the designated mount/dismount zone. 5. You must not touch or otherwise interfere with another athlete s equipment in the transition area. CYCLE COURSE 91.1KM SUMMARY Athletes will exit T1 at Haeundae Beach and begin their 90.1km ride by climbing up and then descending down the famous Dalmaji hill whilst enjoying the windy seaside road until the Daebyun harbour area (13km). Riders will then move onto the Gijang Big Road until Gijang Ilgwang IC which is the start point of Road #31 (19.2km). Athletes will then need to ride a 2.5 loop (1 lap is 11.4km) of Road #31 between start point and Imrang IC where they will exit at 47.7km point. After completing that, athletes will ride through 2 laps of Jangan Industrial zone and proceed to Gomuro Junction turning point and turn around. After completing this area, athletes will come back to north gate of Jangan Industrial zone and proceed to Myeongrae Industrial Zone. At the Myeongrae Industrial Zone, athletes will ride 2 loops of D shape course. After finishing the second loop of this section (77.9km), athletes will heading Southwards via Gijang Big road and will exit at Cheongang Bridge to finish their Bike leg at T2 which is located at World Cup Village BIKE COURSE RULES 1. Strictly NO DRAFTING off another bike or any other vehicles on the course. Side by side riding is not allowed unless the athlete on the left hand side is in the act of passing another bike or vehicle. The draft distance between bikes is 12m and this distance is measured from the leading edge of the front wheel of the leading bike to leading edge of the front wheel of the following bike. An athlete who enters the 12m draft distance of a forward bike must complete the pass. If making a pass where more than one athlete is involved the athlete making the pass can only drop in between athletes where the distance between those athletes is more than 12m. 2. No tandems (except visually impaired athletes), recumbents, fairings, or any add on device designed exclusively to reduce resistance are allowed. Any new, unusual, or prototype equipment will be subject to a determination of legality by the event organizer and/or Race Referee. 3. The sole responsibility of knowing and following the prescribed bike course rests with each athlete. No adjustments in times or results shall be made for athletes who fail to follow the proper course for any reason whatsoever. 4. Athletes must obey all traffic laws while on the bike course unless otherwise specifically directed by an official, race monitor, or designee with actual authority. Failure to do so may result in disqualification. 5. No athlete shall endanger himself or another athlete. Athletes who intentionally present a danger to any athlete or who, in the judgment of the Race Referee, appear to present a danger to any athlete may be disqualified. 6. Athletes must wear a bike helmet number on the front of their helmet. It is not mandatory for the athlete to wear the race bib on the bike course. 12

13 7. Athletes must have a bike frame number fixed to their bike and the entire number must be clearly visible from the right side. 8. A certified helmet is required during the entire bike portion including in and out of the transition area. Athletes riding without an approved helmet or chinstrap not fastened may be disqualified. Alterations to hardshell helmets, which affect its integrity, are not allowed. 9. No outside support is allowed. Ample aid and food stations will be provided. Friends, family members, coaches, or supporters of any type may NOT bike, drive, or run alongside athlete, may not pass food or other items to athlete and should be warned to stay completely clear of all athletes to avoid the disqualification of an athlete. It is compulsory for each athlete to immediately reject any attempt to assist, follow, or escort. 10. Do not litter. Any item that needs to be discarded, including but not limited to water bottles, gel wrappers, broken bike parts, or clothing items, may only be discarded in the rubbish discard zones at each aid station. Discard includes banana skins. Discarding any item outside of the rubbish discard zones will result in a penalty. Blatant littering will result in a Red Card 11. Athletes must be individually responsible for repair and maintenance of their own bike. Athletes should be prepared to handle any possible mechanical malfunction. Assistance from official race personnel is permitted but is limited to drinks, nutrition, mechanical and medical assistance. 12. Athletes may walk bike, if necessary, but may not make progress on the bike course unaccompanied by their bike. 13. Athletes are ultimately responsible for their own bikes. However, race officials may at their discretion make final judgment as to the soundness of bikes. In the event of foul weather, large plastic bags, which cover the entire bike, will be permitted in transition as long as the bags are securely fastened to the bike. 14. Communication and electrical devices of any type, such as mobile phones, cameras (including GO PROS) and two way radios are strictly prohibited during competition. Use of such devices will result in disqualification. 15. HEADSETS OR HEADPHONES ARE NOT ALLOWED DURING ANY PORTION OF THE EVENT. 16. MEDICAL SUPPORT. If you need minor medical assistance, a recovery vehicle will pick you up and take you to the medical tent in the VEC, where you shall receive treatment. Alternatively, depending upon medical emergency, ambulances will take you to the nearest hospital to receive treatment. If you have a problem, please go to an aid station for further assistance or make yourself apparent to course officials. 17. Cut off times will apply to the course as listed in this Athlete Information Guide and Athlete Briefing. Please understand that based on the permits for the roads on the course and the safety of athletes involved, cut off times must be respected for all IRONMAN events. 18. Athletes are expected to be able to handle basic repairs (changing a flat, basic adjustments, etc.) themselves. You can visit two mechanic tents to solve problem. Please be self sufficient. PENALTY BOXES ON THE BIKE COURSE There are two Penalty Boxes on the BIKE COURSE Penalty Box 1 is located at entrance of Myeongrae Industrial zone. The distance mark is 68Km. Penalty Box 2 is located at T2. It is the athlete s responsibility to stop and report to the next penalty box on course. Failure to report if required to, will lead to disqualification. MECHANIC TENTS ON THE BIKE COURSE Mechanic tents will be available at northern turnaround point at road #31 that will be passed 3 times. You are able to stop and solve mechanical problems at the Mechanic tent. ROAMING MECHANIC ON THE BIKE COURSE There will be two roaming bike mechanics on the course to supply pumps and spares to any athlete s requiring assistance. TRANSITION PROCEDURE OF T2 Athletes have to dismount their bike before the BIKE DISMOUNT LINE at T2. TRANSITION RULES OF T2 13

14 1. You must fasten your helmet before racking your bike to bike rack. 2. You have to rack your bike at your designated number rack position. 3. You have to put all bike equipment (Helmet, bike shoes) into your run bag and put in the plastic box at your designated number rack position. 4. You must not touch or otherwise interfere with another athlete s equipment in the transition area RUN COURSE 21.1KM SUMMARY The Run course is entirely flat except slight 500m slope to connect Jwagwang-cheon pathway that is the main running course of the race. One lap of this pathway is 9.25 Km and there are 5 aid stations located approximately 1.85 Km apart. The outbound distance from T2 to enter Jwagwang-cheon pathway is 1.34 Km and inbound side to finish line is 1.26 Km. RUN COURSE RULES (a) Athletes may run, walk, or crawl; (b) It is the sole responsibility of each athlete to know and follow the prescribed running course. No adjustments in times or results will be made, for any reason whatsoever, for athletes who fail to follow the proper course (e.g., if the athlete runs in the wrong direction or runs more than necessary, time will not be subtracted from the athlete s final Race time); (c) All athletes must obey all traffic laws while on the running course unless otherwise specifically directed by a Race Referee or Race Official with actual authority. Unless otherwise directed in accordance with the preceding sentence, all athletes must come to a complete stop when required by a traffic sign or traffic control device and must not proceed through any intersection unless such intersection is clear of oncoming traffic. Any violation of this Section will result in a time penalty or disqualification (depending upon severity of the violation); (d) Running with a bare torso is prohibited. Athletes must wear a shirt, jersey, or sport-top at all times during the run segment of the Race; (Stop-and-Go Time Penalty, DSQ if not remedied promptly) (e) Any item that needs to be discarded, including but not limited to water bottles, gel wrappers, bar wrappers, broken bike parts, or clothing items, may be discarded only in the designated trash drop zones at each aid station. Discarding any item outside of the trash drop zones is prohibited (5:00 Minute Time Penalty) Please note: due to the local laws and ordinances at select Event venues, intentional littering will result in disqualification (See Eventspecific Athlete Information Guide for more information); (f) Athletes must wear their IRONMAN issued bib number in front of the athlete s person and the bib must be clearly visible at all times on the run course. Bib numbers identify the official athletes in the Race. Folding, cutting the bib number, intentional alteration of any kind, or failure to wear bib number is prohibited and may result in disqualification; and (g) Run course cut-off times will be stated in the Eventspecific Athlete Information Guide. POST RACE INFORMATION FINISH LINE AND RECOVERY PROCEDURE Friends and family members, including children are not permitted in the finish chute or finish area. We ask that all athletes respect the Finish Line area and ensure that celebrations do not interfere with other athlete s Finish Line experience. As you cross the line, volunteer catchers will be there to escort you to the secured recovery area. You will be presented with your Finishers Medal and Towel and your timing chip will be removed. These catchers will endeavour to briefly assess you as you proceed and may need to take you directly to the Medical Tent for treatment. If you do not require any treatment you will be able to proceed to the other post finish facilities. Hot and cold food, fruit and drinks will be served within the designated area in Recovery. Unfortunately you will not be able to re-enter Recovery once you have exited so make sure you are comfortable prior to this point. Please remember volunteers and the medical team are there to help you at any time should you require. TIMING CHIP RETURN 14

15 Timing chips will be removed at the completion of your race and returned to the volunteers at the finish line. BIKE COLLECTION Athletes will be advised when bikes can exit transition. Athletes found not complying with this procedure maybe reported to officials for possible disqualification. You must be wearing your ID wristband to collect any bike or equipment from the Transition areas. Transition 2 will be open on Sunday 19 June for Bike Check- Out from approximately 12:10pm until 4:00pm Transition 1 will be open on Sunday 19 June for Bike Check- Out from approximately 12:10pm until 5:30pm The opening time will be dependent on the time the last runner is out on course, and will be announced by commentators on the day. Please be aware that only athletes can enter transition, to ensure the security of all athletes belongings. Please note that we cannot allow children, pets, friends or family into the transition area for bike collection even if they are with a bike collecting athlete. CERTIFICATE OF FINISH Athletes can get their printed finisher certificate at the Information Center at Finish Line. Certificates will be available from 1:00pm to 4:00pm RESULTS Results will be online via the IRONMAN 70.3 Busan website. SLOT ALLOCATION AND ROLL DOWN IRONMAN 70.3 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 40 Age Group qualifying slots for the 2016 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast, Australia will be awarded to the top Age Group finishers. Final Slot Allocation will be determined on race day based on the number of official starters. Automatic Slot allocation and the roll down ceremony will start at 5.00pm in special tent next to Award stage,t1 Area. Please bring a valid form of Photo ID with you and be prepared to pay the entry fee (465 AUD + Active.com 8% 15 processing fee) with CREDIT CARD ONLY. No debit card or cash accepted. AWARDS PRESENTATIONS The top 3 finishers in each age group will be recognized and presented with a trophy at the Award Presentations commencing 5:30pm on Sunday 19 June in the Award stage located at T1 area, Haeundae. There will also be TriClub Podium with big prize. You must be present to win. We encourage and welcome all our athletes, family and friends to attend. 16 LOST PROPERTY Any personal items that are lost or misplaced, and handed into race officials will be available for collection at the Event Information Centre or by calling post event. Please note that the race organizer does not take responsibility for lost property. Lost properties will be kept up until 30 July SPECTATOR INFORMATION Please use the shuttle buses between T1 and T2/Finish Line. The shuttle bus is free for athletes and spectators. Finish line is ideal place to cheer athletes. There are no restaurant near Finish line. Portable food trucks those sell foods will be available around Finish Line for family and supporters. SPECTATOR DO S AND DON TS Riding, driving or running beside an athlete on any part of the course is considered outside assistance and can lead to disqualification of that athlete. Using permanent paint or crayon for graffiti on any road is banned. Chalk is acceptable but where permanent paint graffiti is linked to an athlete, that athlete will be disqualified.
