The competition has been reformatted from past seasons, in that we plan to host TRACK EVENTS ONLY (100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 5000m, 10,000m, 100/110mH, 400mH, 3000mSC), unless additional interest exists. Collegians are welcome to enter, however, we ask that coaches please be aware that heats will be set up to run national and international qualifying standards. Due to the reformat of the schedule, we will determine the number of heats per event according to interest (while remaining within the guidelines of the entry standards listed below, and maintaining the integrity of the meet). ENTRY INFORMATION The Payton Jordan Invitational highly values the presence of unattached, post-collegiate, international, and professional athletes at our competitions, and will continue to do our best to offer opportunities that serve for the betterment of our sport and host events that put elite athletes in position to qualify for national and international championships. However, in the interest of transparency, we ask that unattached athletes, coaches, and agents understand that as a university - our priority is TO THE COLLEGIATE ATHLETE. For this reason, meet management will make no guarantees in regard to the acceptance of non-collegiate athletes. ALL ENTRIES will be considered on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of meet management. We will attempt to best accommodate requests from unattached, post-collegiate, and professional entries according to the guidelines below: TIER 1: ELITE AMERICAN AND INTERATIONAL ATHLETES Athletes ranked in the Top 50 in the world (according to the IAAF) shall be given first priority. Top 50 entries are considered from the PREVIOUS CALENDAR YEAR (not the prior qualifying window). TIER 2: HIGH-RANKING AMERICAN ATHLETES American athletes who achieved the advertised USATF Qualifying Standard in the previous calendar year shall be considered in Tier #2. Athletes who were accepted into the USATF Championships/Olympic Trials in the previous year, but did not meet the advertised standard, shall be considered in Tier 3. TIER 3: RECENT COLLEGIANS/INTERNATIONAL ATHLETES Recent collegians, international athletes (outside of IAAF Top 50) and up-and-coming American athletes shall be considered in Tier 3, relative to previous bests, national and international finishes, and current fitness. TIER 4: DEBUTS/OUTDATED BESTS Unless extenuating circumstances exist, we will only consider athletes who have displayed recent fitness (within the last calendar year). Those with outdated personal bests will only be considered if space permits. Those planning to debut in an event will only be considered if they have an equivalent performance in a similar event.

3 ONLINE ENTRY PROCEDURE (UNATTACHED/OPEN/CLUB) The Payton Jordan Invitational May 3, 2018 ALL ENTRIES MUST BE APPROVED BY THE MEET DIRECTOR PRIOR TO ENTERING ON DIRECT ATHLETICS. ENTRY APPROVAL DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE ENTRY WILL BE ACCEPTED. Interested athletes/coaches/agents should Jess Riden to for entry approval. Entry requests MUST INCLUDE A PROOF OF PERFORMANCE FROM THE LAST YEAR. INDIVIDUAL ATHLETES who are APPROVED to enter will be provided a password to enter via Direct Athletics. INTERESTED CLUB TEAMS/TRAINING GROUPS should the meet director with a complete list of interested athletes, who will be approved on a case-by-case basis. CLUB TEAMS/TRAINING GROUPS who are interested in entering via a team account on Direct Athletics should provide the ACCOUNT NAME along with the request. ONLINE ENTRY PROCEDURE (COLLEGE) ALL ENTRIES should be completed on Entries submitted by any other method will NOT BE ACCEPTED. COLLEGIATE ENTRIES should be entered via a TEAM ACCOUNT ONLY. UNATTACHED (REDSHIRT) entries will not be accepted via team accounts. INITIAL ENTRIES/DECLARATIONS ALL ENTRIES should be completed on Entries submitted by any other method will NOT BE ACCEPTED. ATHLETES WILL BE CONSIDERED ACCORDING TO MARKS SUBMITTED BY THE CLOSE OF ENTRIES (Monday, April 12:00 p.m.) THERE WILL BE NO OPPORTUNITY TO UPDATE PERFORMANCES OR ADD ADDITIONAL ENTRIES AFTER THE DEADLINE. ACCEPTED ENTRIES will be posted on by 11:59 p.m, PST, on Wednesday, April 25, For seeding purposes, Meet Managements asks that coaches make all SCRATCHES to (jriden@stanford.edu) prior to Friday, April 27. ENTRY FEE Entry fees for all athletes/teams MUST BE PAID on Entries that are unpaid by the close of entries WILL BE SCRATCHED. Payment online DOES NOT GUARANTEE ACCEPTANCE into the Stanford Invitational. Entry fees for all athletes/teams MUST BE PAID on Entries that are unpaid by the close of entries WILL BE SCRATCHED.
