FACILITY: The 200 meter, 60 degree banked Mondo track which is set-up inside the Albuquerque Convention Center has eight 42 lanes on the straight and six 36 lanes around the oval. The Long Jump/Triple Jump, High Jump & Pole Vault area s are inside the track oval while the Throwing area is just outside the track oval. The LJ/TJ/PV has an elevated runway. The High Jump apron is contested on the 60 meter straightaway. UNATTACHED ENTRY: All unattached entries must be made on: Unattached entry fee's must be processed at the time of registration by credit card.** Unattached entries are accepted for the following 2010 meets: Lobo Opener; Cherry & Silver Invt. - Elite athletes may be accepted (contact Rich Ceronie); Lobo Challenge - Elite athletes may be accepted (contact Rich Ceronie): New Mexico Invitational, New Mexico Classic & Combined Events ENTRY FEE: ENTRY LIMITS: $20.00 per individual entry, $ per team (m & w separate). For purposes of fee's, entry of 1-10 athletes are considered individual, while a group of 11 or more athletes will pay the team fee This is an entry fee, not a competition fee. Checks made out to The University of New Mexico Track & Field. All entry fee s must be paid prior to packet pick-up. Packet pick-up table will be in the Convention Center adjacent to track. For the $ team entry fee each visiting team will be allowed 3 athletes of each gender per event. If a visiting team wishes to enter more than 3 per event there will be an additional $10.00 per individual event fee. (ie, 4 in 60H - $10.00 additional, 5 in 60H - $20.00 additional ** Please note that in the Long Jump & Triple Jump entry limits may be placed on these events due to facility limitation. We would ask that you use discretion when entering athletes in these events. Meet management reserves the right to make adjustments in competition procedures for the Long Jump & Triple Jump. There are no maximum limits except possible Long Jump & Triple Jump. ENTRY PROCEDURE: All entries are done on-line at starting January 1, 2010 ** Meet management can waive the entry fee for any college unattached athlete that is willing to work as a meet volunteer.

2 ENTRY DEADLINE: Entries close at 12:00pm on Wednesday, January 13 th for the Lobo Opener; Wednesday, January 20th for the Cherry & Silver Invt.; Tuesday, January 26th for the Lobo Challenge; Wednesday, January 27th for the New Mexico Invt.; and Tuesday, February 2nd for the New Mexico Classic & Combined Events. Late entries may be accepted but will be charged an extra $10.00 per individual per event. SEEDING/SCRATCHES A descending order list of competitors will be posted one day prior at: Please contact Rich Ceronie concerning scratches or errors 2 days before the meet. UNM's meets will not adhere to the NCAA requirement for non-speculative marks. Please use discretion when doing entry performances. The program reserves the right to made additional changes in the seeding process. Please make travel plans accordingly as this two hour practice time will be strictly enforced. Coaches are requested to stay outside the track oval for coaching purposes. Athletes will be able to warm-up on the outside of the track. Athletes are not permitted on the inside of the track unless competing in an event. Field Event athletes are allowed to warm-up at the event site once that event area has been opened by the officials or meet management. Running Events: Athletes will check-in 30 minutes prior to event at the clerks table. Field Event: Athletes must check-in 30 minutes prior to event at the event site. Weight Throw and Shot Put weigh in's will be conducted at the throwing cage at check-in. All athletes in running events will be issued a hip number by the clerk during check-in. 1. Only 1/4" spikes (pyramid or christmas tree) are allowed and will be checked by the clerks. 2. In the High Jump & Pole Vault 3/8" spikes may be used. 3. Spikes are allowed on the turf/track only. No spikes in hallways, lobby, or bathrooms. 4. Training flats are acceptable throughout the Convention Center 5. Coaches should wear rubber soled shoes on turf and track surface. 6. Athletic tape may be used for marking purposes. Absolutely no chalk or paint. 7. No food or drink (except water) on the track or turf. 8. No outdoor weights or shots may be used. 9. NCAA Rule c and c prohibiting electronic devices by competitors in the competition area will be in effect. There will be certified athletic trainers on site. There will be a designated area for visiting athletic trainers and massage therapists. Please contact Melissa Ochs with questions. There are no locker rooms in the Convention Center so athletes should dress at motel. Results will be available at the finish line at the conclusion of the meet.
