3 1 Regatta: 8 th SHIMUNI HIGH WIND CATAMARAN RACE 2 Organizer: SURFBASE ŠIMUNI Sailing Club 3 Location and time: Camping Village Šimuni Pag Island 29 September -1(2) October Race course: Windward/leeward sailing Navigation sailing Race courses of various designs 5 Entrance: An unlimited number of sport catamarans may enter the regatta, not longer than 21 feet, with two crew members at most and a right to one crew member change during the competition Each crew member change of the crew sailing in the previous race must be announced in advance and approved by the main judge All competitors and their substitutes must sign the Risk Statement All catamarans must have a number displayed on their sail or hull; otherwise the Organizer will assign one 6 Rules: The Regatta will be governed by the Regatta Rules defined in the ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing and Sailing Instructions 7 Scoring: The ISAF Small Catamaran Handicap Rating System will be applied: Eight (8) races are planned The minimum number of races is three (3) All competitors compete together in the OPEN class The F18 class will be scored separately as well as all other classes where at least 4 catamarans of the same class finished the minimum number of races 8 Sailing instructions: Available to competitors when applying at the Regatta Committee Office or at the first meeting of helmsmen, at the latest 9 Entry: Entrants may apply only between 11 September at 12:00 (noon) and 27 September, 2017 at 12:00 (noon) using the online entry form Applications require confirmation in person at the Regatta Committee Office by 8:30h on 30 September 2017, at the latest Late entries may be accepted by the Organizer but the entry fee will be increased by 50%, and they must be submitted at the Race Office from 12:00h (noon) on Friday, 29 September, to 8:30h on Saturday, 30 September Program: Friday: 29 September :30 pm Racer s meeting Saturday: 30 September am First possible start of the race Sunday: 1 October 2017 Sailing, award ceremony Monday: 2 October 2017 Reserve day In case of cancellation due to weather or if the minimum number of races doesn t take place, the regatta will alsp be held on the reserve day, 2 October, 2017 Liability: The organizer has no liability for catamarans, equipment and competitors before, during or after the competition
