Other Achievements: We believe that Craig has now won 4 Tasar National Championships. In July 2005, Craig sailed to a 2 nd placing at the 2005 Tasar World and National Championships held in Darwin He has achieved a top 5 placing in the past four Tasar World Championships Craig is currently the National Measurer for the Tasar Association. Craig has been actively involved with the Tasar coaching committee and maintenance work He coached at the 2004 STB Youth Coaching Clinics program Craig has been Heron Class National Champion on 9 occasions and has won numerous State Heron titles. He has also been seen in recent years sailing in Sabres, Impulses, Lasers and Sharpies. 2 John was 1 st ~ 2003/2004 SA State International Fireball championship 5 th ~ 2003/2004 Intl Fireball Australian Championships in Adelaide. 16 th ~ 2003/2004 Intl Fireball World Championships at Adelaide in a fleet of 98 boats John has been an active member of the Fireball Class Association for many years He has been a member of the management committee of SA Fireball Association and held the positions of Chairman & Measurer. John has been assisting with coaching at Adelaide SC for the International Cadet class sailors. Chris Martin & Jarryd MacKinnon Adelaide Sailing Club and the International Cadet Class Association of SA. 2004/05 Achievements: 1st ~ International Cadet Australian Championship 3rd ~ International Cadet International Regatta 15th ~ International Cadet World Championship, Australia 15th ~ Australian Youth Championship in International 420 Division; Chris s first major regatta in the International 420 class Chris has achieved exceptional results as a junior sailor SA Youth Squad member: 2003 and 2004 He has been top of the International Cadet Class for a number of years representing Australia in three World championships He was National Champion in 2002/03 and finished 2nd in 2003/04 before again winning the 2004/05 Australian Championship. Chris has been active coaching in the past season being: Team coach for the Sacred Heart College Sailing team in the State and National School Team Racing regattas and Coaching other sailors in the SA International Cadet fleet This is Chris s third consecutive nomination as Sailor of the Year and he has won Youth SOY in the past 2 years Chris has a sailing career to be proud of at 18 years of age.

3 Brett Young...Winner Cruising Yacht Club of SA 2003/04 Achievements: 1 st ~ Fireball Australian Championship with crew Allen Blenkle 1 st ~ Fireball International Week with crew Allen Blenkle 5 th ~ Fireball World Championship with crew Allen Blenkle Brett travelled as Boat Maintenance Officer for Australian Sailing Team to the Pre-Olympic Regatta in Athens and the ISAF World Championship in Cadiz, Spain He will be in Athens next week in this role with the Australian Olympic sailing team. Brett will bring knowledge gained back to South Australian sailing Brett negotiated with Gant Wharington to bring Skandia Wild Thing to compete with an all female crew in the 2004 BMW Adelaide to Port Lincoln Race Brett coached the Wild Women on Water team which took 1 st over the line and 1 st on IRC in the 2004 BMW Adelaide to Port Lincoln Race Brett generated significant media coverage for the WWW program, which ensured sailing was well covered both in newspapers and on television Brett was a guest lecturer for the South Australia Youth Squad Brett assisted Dylan and Jonno who are members of the Australian High Performance Sailing Team training for the Olympic 470 Squad. Chris Martin... Junior Winner International Cadet Class Association of SA 2003/04 Achievements: 28 th ~ International Cadet World Championship in Belgium (1 st Australian team member with crew Jarryd MacKinnon) 2 nd ~ International Cadet National Championship in Melbourne with Jarryd MacKinnon 1 st ~ International Cadet State Championship with crew Jarryd MacKinnon 1 st ~ Adelaide Sailing Club International Cadet Club Championship Chris has been at the front of the South Australian and Australian International Cadet fleets over the past two sailing seasons Chris has established and demonstrated a standard for all juniors to aspire to and is assisting with sail training at the Adelaide Sailing Club to develop other young sailors towards that standard Chris also competed in the Secondary Schools Team Racing in Regional and State level regattas He is now campaigning for both the 2004/05 International Cadet World Championship and training in the 420 Class for the 2005 Australian Youth Championship Chris Dean SA Arrow & Arafura Cadet Association 2003/04 Achievements: 1 st ~ Arrow Catamaran Australian Championship, Hervey Bay In winning the Arrow Championship, Chris defeated Frank O Rourke, a legend in the class who has been unbeatable in fair sailing conditions for the past 18 years, with 14 Australian Championships to his credit.

Chris has significantly raised the standard of boat preparation, boat tuning and on-the-water tactics in the Arrow class Chris served on the Christies Sailing Club Sailing Committee and was Vice President of the State Arrow Association Chris has had an excellent sailing record over many years in several catamaran classes Sandy Higgins Brighton & Seacliff Yacht Club 2003/04 Achievements: 1 st ~ International 505 National Championship with crew Paul Marsh 1 st ~ International 505 State Championship with crew Paul Marsh 1 st ~ Club Champion, International 505, Brighton & Seacliff Yacht Club 1 st ~ Fred Nail Cup Match Racing Championship at CYC of SA Sandy captained the team of Brett Averay, Andrew Chisholm and Peter Higgins, which was successful in winning the Fred Neil Cup Match Racing Sandy is an active member and supporter of the Brighton & Seacliff Yacht Club Sandy contributes both financial and coaching support for the Yachting SA Youth Squad program

Joint Winner Tasar Association of SA 2002/03 Achievements: 1 st ~ Tasar Australian Championship 4 th ~ World Tasar titles held in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada 1 st ~ South Australian Heron State Championship 1 st ~ Queensland Heron State Championship 2 nd ~ South Australian State Tasar Championship 2 nd ~ New South Wales State Tasar Championship 2 nd ~ Victorian State Tasar Championship 2002/2003 Tasar was his 3 rd win in the Tasar National Championship Craig has also won 9 Heron National Titles and numerous state championships Craig and his crews, including Kevin Kellow and his wife, travelled widely to maximise their Tasar fleet racing experiences during this current season Brett Young... Joint Winner International Fireball Association of SA 2002/03 Achievements: 1 st ~ International Fireball National Championship, with 7 wins and a 2 nd placing 1 st ~ Go for Gold Regatta, Melbourne Brett was selected this year as the Australian Olympic Squad Boat Technician and has travelled in this role with the Australian High Performance Sailing Team members to many Pre-Olympic Regattas, including the Pre Olympic Regatta in Athens ISAF World Championship in Cadiz. This is a voluntary position and his selection stands South Australia in a good position to have a member in the 2004 Olympic Sailing Team. Brett has continued to coach professionally but on a voluntary basis has been coaching various senior and youth groups, including: South Australian Youth Squad 420 Australian Women s Team Members, Becky Fountaine and Megan Grigg South Australian Fireball sailors SA Women on Water group members in the Ladies Twilight Series at the CYC of SA on the pocket maxi, Pale Ale Rager. Brett also sponsored this Twilight Series South Australian keelboat sailors Brett provided assistance with fund raising for Becky and Megan by coordinating sailing days on Rager with each day earning the girls approximately $1200 toward their travel costs Brett also provided funding assistance to the four young South Australian sailors travelling to the International Cadet Worlds in Germany. Brett has also been competing on the Australian Farr 40 circuit as a professional tactician on the highest placed non-nsw boat, finishing 7 th at this years Nationals on the Melbourne based boat Farr too much Fun.

Junior Winner International Cadet Association of SA Adelaide Sailing Club 2002/03 Achievements: 1 st ~ International Cadet Australian Championship 1 st ~ International Cadet State Championship 1 st ~ Adelaide Sailing Club Championship, International Cadet Class 21 st ~ International Cadet World Championship held in Germany best placed Australian in the fleet of 90 boats 1 st ~ Single handed Sabre class division of the 2003 Interschools Regatta Chris s win in the National Youth Regatta qualified him and crew Jarryd MacKinnon to compete in the World Championship in Belgium in August. Chris and Jarryd finished 26 th in this regatta sailed this week and South Australia s other team members Sarah Paterson and Leigh Costello finished 42 nd

8 4 th ~ World Team Racing Championship, 1999 Australian Sharpie Class Champion 4 th in 2000/01 Australian Champion, International Flying Dutchman Class International 505 Australian Champion 1993/94, 1995/96, 1999/2000 Noelex Interdominion Champion (Trailable Yachts) 1990 & 1992 Nick Duessen & Michael Brown Adelaide Sailing Club 1 st ~ Junior State Champion 125 Class and, 1 st ~ Open State Champion 125 Class 2 nd ~ Club 125 Class Championship, Adelaide Sailing Club This was Nick and Michael s Second Season in the 125 Class Nick, son of successful SA Sharpie, 14ft Skiff and America s Cup Sailor, Robin Duessen is just 15 and has been sailing for 4 years, while Michael was in his 3 rd Season. Determined not to repeat a very disappointing result in their First Season in the 125 Class, Nick and Michael trained during winter and achieved their goal to improve very significantly. In doing so Nick Became the youngest Skipper to win the 125 Open State Championship Nick and Michael also competed in a combined schools team in the 2002 SA Team Sailing Championship held at Adelaide SC
