Stae 1 Under moderate loads, Acetal ball bearins ensure minimum friction. Acetal Sheave Alloy Sheave Stae 2 Under heavy loads, where deformation of ball bearins alone would result in increased friction, a slidin Acetal bearin on a polished stainless steel race takes over, maintainin low friction performance. Additionally the ball bearins are confiured to act as a thrust bearin between the sheave and cheeks, preventin the sheave from rubbin on the cheeks and causin friction when the line lead in and out of the block isn t perfect. Particularly important for foot blocks. Acetal & aluminium sheave options Selected models are available with an aluminium sheave which has a deep roove profile specifically made for use with wire. Aluminium alloy cheek plates Block cheeks are manufactured from the hihest quality aluminium alloy for maximum strenth. Material optimisation and the cutaway desin minimises weiht and allows easy fresh water rinsin of salt and debris from the bearins. Cheek desin has been further styled with flarin at the block throat and reduced ap between the cheek and sheave, minimisin rope wear, and the hollow hub can be used as a becket takeoff or tieup point. Universal head The head assembly incorporates a brass bearin washer to provide smooth rotation of the post and shackle. A set screw arranement allows the head to be locked at 0 or 90. Shackles are hih quality fored rade 16 stainless steel. Suits prespliced lines Removable becket pins allow fittin of prespliced lines. The flush fit becket pin head is kind on deck surfaces and won t sna lines. Fully articulated standup Standup models have a low profile linkae that provides full rotation and articulation.
