2 The «Championnat de France de Voile Monotypes Habitables Grand Prix de l Ecole (CFMH - GPEN)» is an official event of the French Sailing Federation, organized from 8 to 12th 2018 on the venue of the Ecole in Lanvéoc Poulmic, in Crozon-Morgat, in Camaret, in Roscanvel and in Brest by the Association Grand Prix de l Ecole. The notation «[DP]» in a rule of in the NoR (Notice of Race) means that the penalty for a breach of that rule may, at the discretion of the jury, be less than disqualification. 1. RULES: The regatta will be governed by: 1.1 The rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), 1.2 The national prescriptions translated for foreign competitors, detailed in appendix 1 «Prescriptions», 1.3 The FFVoile regulations. 1.4 For Diam24: changes to RRS will be detailed in the SI, under approval of agreement of the FFVoile Executive board. 1.5 If there is a conflict between languages, the French text twill take precedence. 2. ADVERTISING: Boats shall be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing authority. If this rule is broken, World Sailing Regulation applies (link Regulation WS). [DP] 3. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY: 3.1 The Grand Prix de l Ecole is open to following one-design classes: classes 6.50, Corsaire, Diam24, Gibseaplus, J22, J80, Multi 50, Muscadet, Open 5.70, SB20, Seascape 18, Seascape 24, Speedfeet 18. Classes competing for a French Championship of One-design cruising boats title will be published in a NoR amendment at the end of March. The FFVoile may grant a title of French Champion to any affiliated one-design class answering the requirements of the regulation of the French Championship One-design Cruisers. The FFVoile in accordance with the OA may invite any other one-design class wishing to participate in this event. If less than 5 boats of a class are not regularly registered on the 16 April 2018, such class may not be authorized to compete. In this case, the OA will directly contact the class and will let the class know about the decision. The J22 class will compete for a European Championship title. 3.2 Each boat shall be equipped with a functioning VHF. At all time while afloat, each crew member shall wear personal flotation device. This changes RRS 40. Each boat shall have on board the minimum safety equipment required by class rules and apply regulation («basic» safety equipment of Division 240). When registering, each skipper will sign a document certifying the conformity of the compulsory equipment on board. 3.3 Number of crew members: (i) When entering the boat in the competition, the skipper or boat captain confirms his crew composition and shall mention the number of crew members on board, including the skipper or boat captain. The number of crews shall answer the requirements of class rules and a minimum of 2 crew members. (ii) For all classes, during the whole competition (from 1st to last race sailed) the number of crew members on board shall not be modified, except after hearing and jury decision, following a request justified by exceptional circumstances. (iii) J80 Class: the class rule C3.2 is changed to: The nominal list mentioning days onboard for each crew member shall be lodged to the race office at the latest 2 hours by the first warning signal of the first race in the schedule of races. (iv) Multi50 Class: a guest of OA may be onboard during races. He shall have a temporary licence with a medical certificate certifying the absence of any medical objection to participate in sailing competition or a Competition licence 2018.

3 3.4 Crews shall pre-register online from 6 February 2018 by completing the entry form online on website of the Grand Prix de l Ecole The payment of entry fees shall be done online by credit card, as mentioned in NoR 4(ii). The deadline to register is the 29 th of April 2018 (included). 3.5 (each crew member) with a FFVoile licence shall show when registering: - their FFVoile valid club licence certifying previous presentation of a medical certificate certifying the absence of any medical objection to participate in sailing competition (Club FFVoile licence with «competition» notation) or their FFVoile club licence with «adhesion» or «pratique» notation, accompanied with a medical certificate certifying the absence of any medical objection to participate in sailing competition, as well as a parental authorization for the minors - if needed, a valid authorization to display advertising on boat - Minors competing shall show a parental authorization which shall identify a responsible adult over 21 years old (minimum age) present at the whole event - the measurement or class certificate 3.6 Foreign competitors (each crew member) without FFVoile licence shall show when registering: - a supporting document to justify their membership to a World Sailing Member national authority, - the measurement certificate, - a proof to be insured with a valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of Euros. - a medical certificate (in French or in English) dated less than one year, certifying the absence of any medical objection to participate in sailing competition and a parental authorization for the minors 3.7 Each competitor shall sign, when registering, a form containing words such as: I agree to be bound by the Racing Rules of Sailing and by all other rules that govern this event. 3.8 Registration and access to the venue of the Ecole : Safety requirements to have access to the venue of the Ecole, for crews of racing area A: After the boat entry has been completed online on website, the OA will send an to the skipper or captain of the boat, asking for nominal list of the crew as well as possible substitution crews and support persons, mentioning for each: name and surname, birthdate and birthplace, birth department, nationality for foreign competitors. After the 5 th of 2018, any person not on the list may not be authorised to enter the venue of the Ecole. Such impossibility to enter the venue of Ecole will not be ground for request of redress (this changes RRS 62.1) 4. MEASUREMENT AND LAUNCHING: 6.1 No sail s certification will be organized during confirmation of registration. If required by class rules, all sails shall be presented for stamping, duly measured and certified. If required by class rules, crew weighing will be organized, during hours of confirmation of registration 6.2 Launching of boats will be made in accordance with schedule above, on venues of races of the various classes. Fleets will be allocated on the venues according to NoR 5. The OA may modify such allocation by amendment.

6 The OA will support, for each boat finally registered, expenses related to berthage taxes in Morgat, Camaret, Roscanvel, Brest Port du Chateau and Ecole, as well as one launching before the event and one haul-out at the end of the event (except Multi 50). 6.3 Boats shall be lifted with their own straps or slings, conform to craning standards, and shall produce a disclaimer for craning operations, signed by the skipper or owner. Mast setting and unsettling will be performed by the crews. 7. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS: SI will be published on the website of CFMH - GPEN from 27 th April Only specific appendices of each venue will be printed and given to competitors during entry confirmation. 8. COURSES: Racing areas are defined in Appendix. Courses will be up wind downwind, speed crossing and coastal courses. For Multi 50, racing area will extend from Brest Bay to Iroise Sea (Sein Island, Ouessant, Chenal du Four) 9. PENALTY SYSTEM: 9.1 For all eligible classes, RRS 44.1 is changed so that the two turns penalty is replaced by one turn penalty. 9.2 Direct judging on the water may be organized. The details will be given in the SIs. 10. SCORING AND TITLES: The minimum number of races to be completed to complete the event is Titles of «Champion de France» will be awarded to the first boats of classes competing for a French Championship, in accordance with the Regulation of the 2018 One Design Cruising French Championship. The regulation of this Championship is downloadable at following address: The titles of «Champion de France» may be awarded to foreign boats. The title of European Champion will be awarded to the first boat of J22 Class The three first crews of each eligible class will be awarded. 11. BERTHING: Boats shall remain in the berthing indicated by the OA during confirmation of registration. [DP] 12. HAUL-OUT RESTRICTIONS: Boats shall not be hauled out during the regatta, except with and according to the terms of prior written permission of the race committee. [DP] 13. RADIO COMMUNICATION: Except in an emergency, a boat that is racing shall not make voice or data transmissions and shall not receive voice or data communication that is not available to all boats. [DP] 14. DECISION TO RACE: The responsibility for a boat s decision to participate in a race or to continue racing is hers alone. Consequently, accepting to participate in a race or to continue racing, the competitor disclaims the organizing authority of any liability for damage (material and/or personal injury). 15. RIGHT TO USE NAME OR LIKENESS: Participating in this event, the competitor automatically grants the organizer, the FFVoile and event s partners the right to use and show at any time moving or standing photos, films or TV records, as well as any reproduction of himself, during the whole event in which the competitor participates, and the right to use without compensation his image on all documents related to this event. 16. INFORMATION: Accommodation : Crews accommodation will be in the Ecole, in Crozon peninsula and in Brest. Housing allocation will be made following the allocation of classes to the venues: - Camaret: Corsaire, Gibseaplus, Muscadet, SB20 - Crozon-Morgat: J80, Seascape 18, Seascape 24 - Ecole Lanvéoc: J22, Classes 6.50, Open 5.70, - Roscanvel: Speedfeet 18

7 - Brest: Multi 50, Diam Accommodation: Accommodation will be managed by the OA upon reservation only and subject to availability. Booking shall be made on the entry form. Crews shall book in due time in order to obtain accommodation which amount is included in entry fees. Each competitor will take care to respect environment, to make selecting sorting and not to throw trash in the water. Butts cans, trash bags and selecting sorting bags will be provided during registration.

8 Appendix 1: Prescriptions of the Fédération Française de Voile Racing Rules of Sailing (*) FFVoile Prescription to RRS 64.3 (Decisions on protests concerning class rules): The jury may ask the parties to the protest, prior to checking procedures, a deposit covering the cost of checking arising from a protest concerning class rules. (*) FFVoile Prescription to RRS 67 (Damages): Any question about or request of damages arising from an incident involving a boat bound by the Racing Rules of Sailing or International Regulation to Prevent Collision at Sea depends on the appropriate courts and cannot be dealt by the jury. (*) FFVoile Prescription to RRS (Appeals and requests to a national authority): The denial of the right of appeal is subject to the written authorization of the Fédération Française de Voile, received before publishing the notice of race. This authorization shall be posted on the official notice board during the event. (*) FFVoile Prescription to RRS 78.1 (Compliance with class rules; certificates): The boat s owner or other person in charge shall, under his sole responsibility, make sure moreover that his boat complies with the equipment and security rules required by the laws, by-laws and regulations of the Administration. (*) FFVoile Prescription to RRS 86.3 (Changes to the racing rules): An organizing authority wishing to change a rule listed in RRS 86.1(a) in order to develop or test new rules shall first submit the changes to the FFVoile, in order to obtain its written approval and shall report the results to FFVoile after the event. Such authorization shall be mentioned in the notice of race and in the sailing instructions and shall be posted on the official notice board during the event. (*) FFVoile Prescription to RRS 88 (National prescriptions): Prescriptions of the FFVoile shall neither be changed nor deleted in the notice of race and sailing instructions, except for events for which an international jury has been appointed. In such case, the prescriptions marked with an asterisk (*) shall neither be changed nor deleted in the notice of race and sailing instructions. (The official translation of the prescriptions, downloadable on the FFVoile website shall be the only translation used to comply with RRS 90.2(b)). (*) FFVoile Prescription to RRS 91(b) (Protest committee): The appointment of an international jury meeting the requirements of Appendix N is subject to prior written approval of the Fédération Française de Voile.
