1 2018 Laser No Coast Championships Laser, Radial, and 4.7 May 19 - May 20, 2018 Corinthian Sailing Club, Dallas, Texas 1 Rules 1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), the prescriptions of the United States Sailing Association (US SAILING), the rules of the International Laser Class Association (ILCA) and this Notice Of Race, except as any of these are changed by the Sailing Instructions or any appendices to the Sailing Instructions. 1.2 The prescriptions of the United States Sailing Association (U.S. SAILING) will apply. 1.3 The rules of the International Laser Class Association (ILCA) will apply /02/2017-Laser- Class-Rules.pdf 2 Language The official language for this regatta will be English. 3 Inspection and Measurement Sail measurement will be required at this regatta. Please ensure your sail numbers are applied in accordance with ILCA class rules. Sails may be measured prior to racing, and may also be spot checked at any time during the regatta. Note that numbers and letters drawn on the sail with permanent ink pens are not legal. Refer to for detailed instructions. 4 Eligibility and Entry Laser, Radial and Laser 4.7 competitors who are members of the ILCA- NA or their national Laser Class Association may enter by completing

2 registration with the organizing authority. A minimum of five entries are required to constitute a class. 5 Risk It is the competitor's decision to enter the regatta and to start or continue any race. The competitors are ultimately responsible for the risks. The competitor will accept full responsibility for all his/her actions during any activity related to the event. This includes on-shore activities before, during, and after the regatta. 6 Schedule of Events Friday, May Registration & Sail Measurement Saturday, May Registration & Sail Measurement Hot Breakfast (included in entry fee) 0930 Skippers Meeting 1030 First warning signal, races to follow 1800 Dinner Served at 1800 or as soon as practicable after last race (Included in entry fee) Sunday, May Breakfast (Included in entry fee) 0930 First Warning signal, races to follow No Race to start after 1400 hours Awards & included lunch as soon as possible after racing 7 Eligibility And Entry Laser and Laser Radial competitors who are members of the ILCANA (International Laser Association-North American Region), or their national Laser Class Association may enter by completing the online entry form at: applet_registration_form.php?regatta_id= Fees 8.1 Required Fees

3 The entry fee is for Laser, Radial and 4.7 entries is $110. A late fee of $25 will be charged after May 10, The entry fee includes food and fresh water for the competitors during each race day, breakfast, dinners on scheduled evenings and a regatta souvenir. 9 Sailing Instructions The sailing instructions will be available during on-site registration. 10 Courses & Racing Area 10.1 Courses will be standard ILCA-NA courses as described in the ILCA-NA Regatta Guidelines The racing area will be on White Rock Lake in Dallas, Texas, near the Corinthian Sailing Club, using inflatable marks. 11 Scoring 11.1 The Low Point Scoring System, Appendix A4, will be used except as modified below races are scheduled, a minimum of 3 races must be completed to constitute a regatta When 6 or more races are completed a sailor may discard their worst score. When 11 or more races are completed a sailor may discard their two worst scores. 12 Prizes Prizes will be awarded to the top 5 finishers in each class 13 Additional Useful Information Boats can be stored overnight Saturday on the CSC docks on either Kitty-Hawk type trailers or dollies. While the facility is gated with codeonly access, there is not a security guard on site and the Corinthian Sailing Club will not assume responsibility for property left on the premises. Foot protection is required while on CSC piers. Corinthian Sailing Club is located within the Dallas Parks Department White Rock Lake Park. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the park, however alcoholic beverages are allowed within the gated portion of the Corinthian Sailing Club only. Restrooms, but no showers are available at the club. Camping is not available, but a wide choice of

4 accommodations is available nearby. With advanced notice we may, on a limited basis, try to house sailors with club members.
