Gas management board This board contains all the elements for safe chamber pressurization. 5 The gas is either the nitrogen supply network or a cylinder of 200 bar through a pressure regulator calibrated at 75 bars. 5

8 security Safety devices Starting the test only after locking doors Control of the drive motors (soft start) Double checks at primary tank: - Temperature of the test fluid (temperature sensor and thermostat) - Fluid level test: two level sensors (critical and security) Check the pressure sensor and mechanical components of the high pressure rail (safety valve and bursting disc) Two emergency stop buttons (punch) Extraction of hydrocarbon vapors. Open Door Mode Safety devices allow to lock the two doors of the test bench during operation. In Open door mode, opening doors is possible at any time to perform maintenance and adjustments while the bench is running. A password is required. 8

9 Signal column The bench is fitted with a light column. It indicates the operating status of the bench: GREEN operate normally, ORANGE: non-blocking alarm RED: major fault: the bench is stopped. Air extraction The cabin is equipped with an aeration grille. A vent is provided above the bench to connect the customer drain system of the exhaust air. 9 Emergency stop The test bench is equipped with two emergency stop buttons: One on the bench and another on the measurement cabinet. A controller monitors the main functions of the test bench automatically and continuously. In the event of a detected fault on a device, it causes an emergency stop. 9

10 Softwares Measurement cabinet Measurement cabinet includes: An industrial PC in which SprayAcq and SprayAnalyser software are installed. A rail pressure controller EFS 8549 (HPC) An injector power control module EFS 8527 An ICU unit SAG Module A 24V DC supply. Security elements (light column, circuit breaker, disconnector...) 11 SprayAcq This software manages the entire INJETVISION system and controls: - The control pulse of the injector, - The pressure in the chamber of vision, - The pressure in the rail, - The position of the jet deflector, - The rotation of the injector, - The two cameras for shooting bottom and side jets

12 SprayAcq This software is dedicated to the analysis of jets from diesel or petrol injectors. The entire chain of image processing is controlled from image acquisition to image processing and formatting results. 12

14 injetvision Pressure chamber It is instrumented with a temperature sensor, a pressure sensor and a mechanical gauge. A thermal switch, a safety valve and a rupture disk to ensure the safety of the entire system. The constituent bodies of the pressure chamber are consistent with the pressure equipment directive PED 97/23 EC. 15 Fog extractor The vision chamber is equipped with a fog extractor. It aims to eliminate fog after each injection in order to obtain a perfect visualization of the jet. This equipment is necessary for an effective statistical analysis. 15 with without 15

17 Lighting Mono-block design allows mounting directly inside the pressure chamber Quality lighting allows injector jet image acquisition in high definition. Gas management board 17 The gas management board is connected to the pressure chamber through a 300 bar high pressure hose equipped with an anti-whiplash cable. This equipment allows the chamber to be pressurized safely. 17
