What is the difference between UKATA and the IATP? A. UKATA is a Private company limited by guarantee without share capital. It charges fees for membership. IATP are a nationally recognised not-for-profit organisation that works with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). IATP ensure that training providers are audited to ensure the asbestos courses they provide meets all IATP standards and requirements. The IATP have a good reputation with the HSE and are truly independent. Q. Does the certificate have an expiry date printed on it? A. No. Unlike UKATA, IATP certificates do not need to have expiry dates printed on them. We like that because it is more in keeping with legislation whereby the employer (not the training provider) decides when training should be given, based on their unique situation and guidance provided by the HSE. What is the difference between IOSH Managing safely and IOSH working safely? A. IOSH Managing safely is aimed at people that are responsible for managing or supervising others in a safe manner. IOSH Managing safely takes between 16 and 24 hours to complete online, whereas IOSH Working safely takes between 6 and 8 hours to complete online. Q.
