Minimum PPE: Work Gloves, Helmet and Eye Protection PERFORMANE andidate must successfully pass this skill in 10 minutes to pass 1. Thoroughly cleans all parts of the ladder with scrub brush and cleaning solution. 2. Rinse and dry components. 3. Inspects each component of the ladder for damage. 4. Pays special attention to looseness, cracks, bent rungs, damage to beams. 5. hecks for heat damage and checks condition of heat sensor label. 6. Marks defects/damage. 7. Replaces halyard, if applicable and necessary. 8. Lubricates parts, as needed. 9. Tags and removes from service if repairs cannot be made. Notifies officer. 10. Understands and maintains situational awareness at all times. Ensures all crew members are breathing air. 3. Selects the appropriate location to ventilate, sizes up area for hazards. 4. Retrieves hose from bed and necessary equipment to make connection from apparatus. 3. Wraps hydrant and instructs apparatus to proceed to fire. 4. Removes proper cap from hydrant, checks for damage and debris. 5. onnect hose to hydrant. 6. Upon order from apparatus, opens hydrant slowly and fully, fills hose, removes any kinks in hose. Attaches the strainer to the end of the hard suction hose and places into water supply. 9. Uses mallet to tighten connections, uses rope to support barrel strainer, as necessary. 10. onnects suction hose to intake, tightens as necessary. 11.
