5 GMRC RENTAL SHOP Glaze Meadow Rental Shop Hawks Beard ON-RANCH SNOW FUN Wednesday - Sunday RENTAL SHOP January 1-31 Black Butte Ranch has 18 miles of paved bike paths, as well as the nature trail and groomed ski/snowshoe trails along the golf courses. The Rental Shop rents snowshoes and cross country skis. They also sell sleds and other winter gear. In addition the Glaze Meadow Rental Shop has the new fatbikes for winter trail riding. Fatbikes use an extra large wheel to provide flotation, traction, and stability on loose and inconsistent terrain. They re great fun in the snow! The Glaze Meadow Rental Shop offers hot waxing, edge sharpening and minor repairs for your Nordic skis, alpine skis and snowboards. RENTAL SHOP JANUARY SPECIAL Rent pairs of skis or snowshoes get the 4 th pair & 3 FREE Excludes January 1-6 and at least 6 of snow is required for winter sports on the golf courses SLEDDING HILL Share the SNOW Not the TRACKS Non-skiers, please walk on the side of the groomed trail and respect the Nordic ski tracks set by the groomers. Park at Glaze Meadow Golf Clubhouse on Ponderosa and enjoy the sledding hill to the west. Please do not sled on the golf courses. Sleds and saucers are for sale at the Glaze Meadow Rental Shop. SKI & SNOWSHOE ETIQUETTE Enjoy groomed ski tracks at Big Meadow Golf Course, Glaze Meadow and other locations on the Ranch. Please help protect the golf courses: there must be at least 6 of snow for skiing or snowshoeing. Snowshoers, please walk on the side of the groomed trail and respect the ski tracks set by the groomers. Skis and snowshoes are available to rent at GMRC Rental Shop

7 WHERE TO GO SNOW ADVENTURES OFF THE RANCH Sno-Park permits may be required. They are available for purchase at the Rental Shop and the Welcome Center. About one mile east of Hoodoo. 12 miles of ungroomed trails Elevation Gain of 200 feet Trailhead Elevation: 4,800 feet Sisters Ranger District, Deschutes National Forest HOODOO SKI AREA 13 miles west of BBR Groomed Nordic trails include: Hogg Meadow Trail and Loop, Hayrick Glade, Black Jack Loop and Sheep Springs Loop. 5 miles Elevation Gain: 340 feet Trailhead Elevation: 4,700 feet THREE CREEKS SNOWPARK 10.5 miles south of Sisters on Three Creek Lake Road 12.2 total miles Elevation Gain: 1,430 feet Trailhead Elevation: 5,150 feet groomed snowmobile trail or ungroomed ski trails SANTIAM SNO PARK 13 miles west of BBR, across the highway from the Hoodoo (off Highway 20/126). It's a popular sledding area with nearby trails for skiers and snowshoers. Willamette National Forest. TUBING Hoodoo offers a tubing facility that make for a safe, fun family outing. Hoodoo's Autobahn Tube Area is located at the base of Hayrick Mountain and offers spectacular views. TRY THE NEW FATBIKES The new fatbikes can go almost anywhere and are great on our USFS trails and bike paths. Call the Glaze Meadow Rental Shop at for rental and trail information. Sledding ON THE RANCH Please limit sledding to the sledding hill near Glaze Meadow Golf Course parking lot on Ponderosa and help protect the golf courses.
