5 Important information about the competitions Tuesday: Mountain Race Start: 12:00 a.m. 30 km sitting and standing. The jury will approve the athletes that can take part in the mountain Race. All participants must carry a rucksack (min 3 kg) during the race. Classes: sitting/ standing, men/female Wednesday: Biathlon Start 10:00 am Track: 5k (3 loops 1.6) Competitors start and end the race with skiing the loop. 2 prone stage shooting - lying down: Shooting after 1st and 2nd loop 5 shots each time (a total of 10 shots must be fired) Penalty of 1 minute per missed shot. Laser guns are used (Laser guns are on the shooting range). Competitor must shoot his/her 10 shots in order to finish the race and be on the result list Classes: As described in the program. Thursday: Cross-country Start: 10:00 a.m 5 km ladies/10 km men Friday: Giant slalom Start Trial Run: 11:00 a.m. Start Final Run: 13:00 p.m Classes: As described in the program. Saturday Ridderrennet Start: 09:00 a.m The Ridderrennet track is 20 km, 10 km, 5km or 2 km. Posted signs will tell you the distance. There will be stands with food and beverages along the track. -Sitting athletes running 20km, must run 2x10km -Standing athletes running 20km, must run 2x10km (to stølen) Classes: As described in the program. Remember: Use the RIGHT track all the time, except when you are passing someone. Then use the LEFT. Remember: Use the RIGHT track all times except when you are passing someone, then use the LEFT track. Classes: As described in the program.

6 Classification rules for the ridderweek The classification for the competitions during the Ridderweek has its origin from the IPC-system and regulations. We prefer as many participants as possible to be classified within this system. All participants can undergo a professional classification procedure sunday 7th April or monday 8th April - free of charge. IPC s classes: B1-B3 - Partly sighed B1 - Totally blind athlete without sence of light and without the ability to distinguish contrasts - All athletes in this class will go with the taped glasses so that no one should get the benefit of any sence og light. - The practitioner uses companion B2 - Visual acuity 1-2/60 - what you normally see at 60 meters distance, a B2-athlete at maximum 2 feet away - Viewing angle less than 5 (normal: 180) - Can use companion in competitions B3 - Visual acuity 3-6/60 - what you normally see at 60 meters distance, a B3-athlete at maximum 6 meters - Viewing angle Can use companion in competitions LW 2-9 Upright mobility: LW2 - Damage in one leg above the knee or the equivalent LW3 - Damage in both legs below the knee LW4 - Damage in one leg below the knee LW5 /7 - Damage in both arms - above / below theelbow or the combination. - No ski poles LW6 Damage in an arm over the elbow or the equivalent. - The athlete runs with a staff LW8. Damage in an arm under the elbow. - The athlete runs with a staff LW9 - Damage at least an arm and a leg or more limbs. If one or two spells everything by function Minimum handicap for LW2-9 is in two classes; LW4 and LW8 LW Seated disabled There are five different classes, LW10, LW10.5, LW11, LW12 and LW11.5 These classes have varying degrees of functional impairment in the legs and torso. LW12 is the class that has at least function. Riderrennets classes B1 = Blind B2 and B3 = Partially Sighted LW 2,4,6,8 = Physically disabled class 1 LW 3,5,7,9 = Physically disabled class 2 LW 11 and 12 = Cross-country sledge class 1 LW 10 = Cross-country sledge class 2

7 General directions The organizer may combine classes with 3 or fewer participants with the same classification. for the competitions: Make sure to prepare your skies well before the competition The classes years and over 70 years will not be combined. To ensure the safety of the participants the jury may alter the course and reduce the number of participants in the competitions, based on the weather and track conditions. All skating is forbidden both in training and competition tracs. There are always two tracks. The disabled skier and his guide are to use the right track. This way, the left track, will be kept open for those who are passing others. If you have to make a stop (because of waxing etc), og out of the main track to avoid collisions. The guide is to contact the skier the day before the competition, and no later than two hours before the first start, unless otherwise arranged. The skier and his guide should use the same wax for their skis. Through conversation, the guide should try to find the most effective way of guiding the skier. It is the guide s duty to see that the skier returns safely to his lodging after the competition. Guide dogs are not allowed in the ski tracks. Protests concerning the unofficial results posted at SAS Radisson Blu Resort, must be delivered to the secretariate one hour after last person crosses finish line.
