3 Dear Ski Friends, On behalf of Powdr Corp. and U.S. Ski & Snowboard, I would like to welcome all of the members of the national and international media to Killington, Vermont for the 2017 Xfinity Killington Cup with the Audi FIS Ski World Cup. After a great first year, we are proud and excited to bring World Cup ski racing back to Killington. Highly experienced members of our organizing committee, in conjunction with enthusiastic local volunteers, have collaborated to prepare a festival of ski racing worthy of the performances the athletes will bring to Killington. By showcasing the exciting sport of alpine ski racing at the Beast of the East, we hope to inspire veteran supporters and young aspiring athletes alike, bringing everyone together to celebrate the remarkable performances of these world class athletes. Please be sure to request the World Cup Media lodging package. MEDIA CREDENTIALS: All Media must pick up credentials and welcome package at the Media Center located inside the Killington Ski Club. Media credentials will not be distributed in any other location. We suggest that members of the media pick up credentials and allotted parking passes Wednesday, Nov. 22 through 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24. If you are unable to pickup your media credentials before 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24, please notify us so we can make other arrangements at media@killington.com. All Media must display their media credentials at all times. If you forget your credential, you will not be allowed credentialed access into the venue, access the Media Center, the media Mixed Zone or lift access. MEDIA CENTER: The Media Center will be conveniently located in the Killington Ski Club building, a short walk from the Finish Stadium at the base of the mountain. The World Cup Media Center will open at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 22. 7 PHOTOGRAPHERS: Agence Zoom s Francis Bompard will serve as Photo Chief for this event. All photographers wishing to be considered for oncourse access must check the appropriate box on the credential application form. The FIS and the organizing committee control the number of photographers allowed on the course, and a request for on-course access is not a guarantee that the access will be granted. Photographers requesting on-course access will be notified via if access has been granted. All on-course Photographers will be required to attend the Photographer Briefing on Friday, Nov. 24 at 18:45 (6:45 p.m. EST) at the Killington Ski Club in the Media Center. All On-Course Photo Armbands will be distributed at the Photographer Briefing no exceptations will be made to provide course access Photo Armbands to photographers who do not to attend the briefing. FILM & VIDEO: Infront Italy holds the international multimedia rights to this event, while U.S. Ski and Snowboard controls the domestic broadcast rights. International Television and radio networks, production and Internet companies need to send their accreditations requests directly to Infront Italy for approval.
