1 Snowboard and Ski Camp Registration Overview Thank you for choosing the Camp of Champions. It s going to be the most fun week of your life. This PDF is packed with important info that will make your arrival, departure and time at camp as fun and stress free as possible. This document includes the Camp of Champions Registration Overview, Camp of Champions Registration Form and the Camp of Champions Waiver. Once you fill this document out and fax or it to us with your payment details, you are registered for camp. All you have to do after that is let us know when and how you are arriving, book your transportation to Whistler with RideBooker.com and then count the days until your camp session starts. The Different Camp Packages 8 Day Deluxe Camp is our camp that includes accommodation. It starts at 4PM on the Sunday of your arrival day has six days on snow and ends at 6:30AM on your departure day. This is our most popular camp every year. Deluxe camp, 6 days lift tickets and park access, 6 days breakfast, lunch and dinner, 6 days of all day grouped coaching with one-on-one instruction, 6 days of all after riding activities including bungee jump, and Bounce Academy, 7 nights double occupancy accommodation at the Whistler Peak Lodge in the center of Whistler Village, free use of demo equipment from our sponsors, camp t-shirt, end of camp BBQ or Pizza Party and prizing from our sponsors and more. Standard Camp is our camp package that does not include accommodation. If you have a place in Whistler, are coming in an RV, staying at the Whistler RV Park and Campground or are making it a family vacation and staying elsewhere in town, this is the package we suggest. It s exactly the same as the Deluxe Camp, other than where you are sleeping. If you are staying at a hotel we suggest the Pan Pacific Village Center Hotel that is right next door to the Holiday Inn where the campers stay. Pro Camp is our package that riders that are aiming to go pro typically choose. There is no coaching included, no supervision or after riding activities. It s 6 days of park access, lunch and lift tickets. It s designed for self-motivated riders to come and progress in the best summer park. It s the package that the National Slopestyle Teams from the USA, Canada, Norway, Latvia, Russia, New Zealand and other National Slopestyle Teams select when they come to train at COC. The only multi week discount is if you do all four weeks of Pro Camp. Coming On Your Own? If the friend that you were planning to come to camp with leaves you hanging by not being willing or able to come to camp, don t feel that you shouldn t come to camp because you don t know anyone. Feeling nervous about not knowing anyone or worried about traveling so far on your own, or not making friends is normal. 90% of our campers come on their own and are as nervous as you are about not making friends. Because everyone that comes to COC is totally stoked on snowboarding and skiing, making friends is the easiest thing ever because the things that typically get in the way of people becoming friends don t exist at COC. At COC making friends is as easy as You ride? Me too Chances are you will see other campers checking in at the airport for the same flight to camp. You will have new friends by the time you get off the bus from the airport. We match each camper up with a camper that is the same sex and as close as possible the same age. We also room campers by sport so that you are both stoked on the same thing while you are at camp. We also try and room campers with the same name together just because we think it s funny. Use your friends not coming as an excuse to step out of your comfort zone and make new friends from around the world. We typically have kids from over twenty countries come to camp. Don t miss the opportunity to change your life just because you don t have your usually shred buddy. We guarantee that you will have a whole new posse of shred friends, Facebook friends and Instagram friends that will be your friends for life, by the end of your session. Camp is that great, that fun and a beyond great a place for making friends.

2 Important Dates: If you are coming to camp with more than one friend, and register after January 1st, we can t guarantee that all three or four of you will be rooming together in one of the three person or four person rooms, as we only have a few of these bigger rooms available. To guarantee that you will be rooming with your friends, register early. If you are coming with one friend, register before April 1st, to guarantee that you are rooming together. You can register with a friend right up to the day before camp starts and we should be able to have you room together, it just makes it easier for us and the Whistler Peak Lodge to plan for your arrival so that when you arrive everything goes smooth. Arriving and Departing Camp Driving If you are driving to the Whistler Peak Lodge in Whistler to drop your camper off, please let us know by that you will be doing so. It keeps us from freaking out at the airport when we can t find you. If you are driving please arrive in Whistler after 4PM and before 7:30PM on the Sunday that is your arrival day, so that we can have your room ready. There is a welcome meeting at 7:30PM that is a must to attend. Departure, we are done all camp activities by 7:30 PM on the Saturday evening if you need to drive back early. Otherwise, check out is at 6:30AM on the Sunday. Flying Arrival Please inform us by of your arrival time in Vancouver. You need to arrive at Vancouver International Airport between 11:00 AM and 4:00PM on the Sunday that is your arrival day. We cannot meet you outside of these times. If your flight is delayed call Ridebooker at to let them know of your new arrival time, and Gord at as he will be the one meeting your camper at the airport.. Departure Please inform us by of your departure time from Vancouver International Airport. Please schedule your flight for 11:00AM or later on the Sunday. We have everyone at the airport sometime between 9:00AM and 9:30AM so they can make 11:00AM flights. If the only flight you can get is outside our scheduled times, Ridebooker can arrange it for you. As we have all the campers at the airport by 9:30AM, the closer you can get your flight to 11:00AM the more stoked your camper will be. Skill Level Required for Participation We do not take beginner snowboarders or skiers. You need to be a level two rider. We do take beginner park snowboarders and skiers. The glacier in the summer is not a great place to learn to snowboard or ski, but it is a great place to learn how to ride jumps, rails and boxes park riding. That is what we specialize in. We would love to have your child come to camp but please don t put them in the position of arriving at camp with no ability or very basic snowboarding or skiing ability. It just makes your child feel terrible and that makes us feel terrible. Camp is the most fun place on earth for snowboarding and skiing, you just need to have the basic riding skills on lock before you arrive. If your child comes to camp without the basic skills required to make the most of the COC experience, we will have to send them home as we have found that trying to make the camper feel a part of camp even though they don t have the skills to participate never works and it s better for everyone when the child goes home. There are no refunds if this is the case with your camper. How We Operate When Your Child Is Injured Injuries do happen at The Camp of Champions % of the time they are minor injuries that are easily dealt with by the professional staff of doctors and nurses Whistler Medical Center. When your child is injured, we do not contact you until a physician has diagnosed the camper. We feel that the delay in notification is worth the not knowing when you can receive the correct information from a doctor instead of one of our staff that is not a professional. Hearing Your child has a head Injury is far more traumatic and stress inducing when you hear it from their coach, compared to Your child has a level one concussion and will be fine in a couple days from the Doctor.

3 We like to have the best person for the job, the professional that has been trained tell you exactly what happened and what is going on make the call. It makes for a better experience for everyone. If your child s injury requires being transferred to a hospital in Vancouver, we do not accompany the camper. They are in good hands with the trained professionals at the hospital. If you would like one of our staff to be there at the hospital for the camper to Have someone there, there is a $300 a day charge for that staff member to be at your child s bedside. Personality Clashes If your child can not get along with their roommate for whatever reason and requires being transferred to a single room to make the personality clash go away, the camper with be charged the single room upgrade charge to reflect their new single room rooming status. If this doesn t solve the problem, the camper will be sent home without refund. This problem rarely happens, camp is where friends are made not lost. Camp Weekly Schedule Sunday - Arrival Day Arrive at the Vancouver Airport between 11AM and 4 PM or if you are driving to COC, arrive at the Whistler Peak Lodge in Whistler after 4PM for check in.
