1 ISSMA Marching Band Regional Information For October 17, 2015 at Center Grove High School Welcome to Center Grove, host to the Class C and Class A 2015 ISSMA Regional Competition. Times, maps and general information are included in this communication to help your day run smoothly. The Center Grove High School Band and Trojan Band Boosters look forward to this event as an opportunity to serve you, your program and your parents. If you have further questions or comments, please contact us through the band office at , ext (Renee Skipper) or extension 4191 (Kevin Schuessler). All maps and contest schedules will be available on Arrival Please do not plan to arrive more than two hours before your performance time. If your setup or travel plans have you arriving prior to this time, just let us know so we can have your guide and the parking volunteers prepared. After you are parked, your band hosts will meet you near your buses. They will be with your band until you return to the buses following your performance. Center Grove volunteers will stamp your students hands at this time for access to the performance area. Your final packet, with last minute reminders and information, 12 director passes, 24 field passes, and wristbands for your chaperone, bus, and truck drivers will need to be signed for at the Director Check-In. Field passes must be visible when entering the stadium. Director Check-In Check-In will be located in the ticket booth at the north end of the stadium. Please check-in and sign for your packet when you arrive. Parking Information All buses will park in Lot A or Lot B (see map) immediately east of the high school. All buses, prop or equipment trailers and one director vehicle will be parked in the same lot. Access to these lots will be from Stones Crossing Road. Volunteers will direct and assist all vehicles with parking. Restrooms Students may use the visitor concession stand restrooms or port-o-lets located in the bus/semi Lots A & B. Warm-up No playing outside of the music warm-up area. Physical warm-up is located close to the stadium. So, please prepare how to warm-up your students with minimal sound. ISSMA guidelines state, The use of non-amplified pulse will be allowed provided that it does not affect music warm-up or performance. Please check the map area assigned to your ensemble. There is a separate guard warm-up available during your music warm-up. It s recommended that your guard is either in front or to the right side of your band when transiting to music warm-up. Equipment Any motorized vehicle that will come into contact with the performance field or surrounding sideline area must be diapered so no chemical leakage will come in contact with the field turf or track. Electrical Power ISSMA does not require host schools to provide electrical power at the field. However, electrical power via one extension cord will be available on the front sideline of the performance field. If you require more power than normal usage, you must be prepared to provide your own additional power.

2 Post Performance - Results Judges sheets, video, and a recap will be available at the end of each class awards on the track at the trophy table. Judges comments (available immediately following your performance) will be available via your ISSMA Regional DropBox Folder. (Please check prior to Saturday). Any questions regarding your DropBox folder/judges commentary files, contact Bob Barton rlbarton76@att.net Please note, as per ISSMA rules, one copy of recaps will be available for each school. Semi-state entries will be taken on the track at the trophy table immediately following your awards. Tickets Gates will open one hour prior to the start of Class C. Spectator tickets will be available at the two gates behind the home bleachers (west side of the stadium). Tickets will also be available at the gate near the visitors bleachers. Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students and preschoolers. Children under age two will be admitted free of charge. Spectator Parking Handicapped parking will be in the parking lot south of the high school. The closest Spectator parking is south of the Center Grove Professional Resource Center ( 2911 S. Morgantown Greenwood, IN ), which is south of the high school. Enter from Morgantown Road. Parking will be marked, and a volunteer will be available to help. Overflow parking is located at Middle School Central/ Center Grove Elementary ( 2455 S. Morgantown Greenwood, IN ) which is north of the high school. This is to help with families coming in separate vehicles that want to park in the same area and for efficient exiting after the awards. Please pass this on to your parents so they can plan ahead. Concessions Concessions will be available in the football stadium. They will offer traditional sandwiches, popcorn, snacks, soft drinks, bottled water, etc. ISSMA Festivals Manual Be sure to review the contest rules in the current ISSMA MUSIC FESTIVALS MANUAL for School Year. Special attention to the procedures of warm-up, pre-set, performance, and exit timing is encouraged. Driving Directions Center Grove High School is located on the southeast corner of Morgantown Road and Stones Crossing Road. ( 2717 S. Morgantown Rd, Greenwood, IN). Important Traffic Restriction: While you may turn onto Stones Crossing Road from SR-37 from either direction, you cannot turn left (South) onto SR-37 from Stones Crossing. To get back to SR-37 and head South: Go left (South) on Morgantown Road, at the round-about take the 1 st Right onto Whiteland Rd, then at the next round-about take the 1 st Right onto 144.
