3 Plymouth s newest marina is at the heart of a multi-million pound project to create a vibrant waterside community on the site of the city s former Millbay Docks. King Point Marina brings you to the heart of Plymouth, Britain s Ocean City Located within a secure harbour basin and boasting brand new facilities, King Point Marina has direct access to Plymouth Sound and some of the most sought-after sailing waters in the UK. The marina welcomes vessels, both mono and multi hull, from 7.5 metres to 25 metres in length and offers flexible and competitive berthing terms.

The marina is located within the inner basin of the historic Millbay Docks, originally designed by celebrated Victorian engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel in The basin has been transformed with new pontoons to create 171 berths, while a contemporary shoreside building overlooks the marina and offers toilets, showers, family wet rooms and laundry services. On the first floor the marina benefits from a restaurant offering relaxed dining from breakfast to dinner. KING POINT MARINA - OVERVIEW The entire Millbay area is undergoing a multi-million pound regeneration to create a new Coastal Quarter with a mix of residential, leisure, business and retail facilities.

Berth holders enjoy a range of complimentary services. Flexible pricing and berthing options are available, including long leases from 5 to 20 years, and reward schemes.

The Cruising Credit scheme will refund 40% of any fees from visitors using your berth if you are away for more than seven nights, and we offer discounts through our Refer A Friend programme. We give all berth holders our Experience Card, offering discounts in restaurants, cafés, shops and attractions around both King Point Marina and our sister marina in Sutton Harbour. We also run a full programme of events and training sessions with the Royal Yachting Association through its Active Marina Programme, in conjunction with Sutton Harbour Marina.

6 King Point Marina is ideally placed to explore some of the best cruising waters in the UK. It has direct access to Plymouth Sound and the tidal rivers of the Tamar and Yealm are on the doorstep, offering a range of opportunities to explore further upstream. To the east are the popular cruising destinations of Salcombe and Dartmouth in Devon, or head west to Fowey and Falmouth in Cornwall. 11 Devon Cornwall DNPA Dartmoor National Park Just north of Plymouth, Dartmoor National Park is home to almost 1,000 sq kilometres of beautiful moorland and offers stunning views deep into Cornwall. A haven for anyone who loves the outdoors, take a day trip or stay at a range of B&Bs or country hotels and explore one of England s most dramatic landscapes. Mount Edgcumbe House Country Park Once home to the Earls of Mount Edgcumbe, the house is surrounded by 865 acres of country park, which includes formal gardens as well as open countryside, and two café/restaurants. Accessible via foot ferry from Plymouth, you can see the park from Plymouth Hoe. Tavistock This charming market town nestled below the western edge of Dartmoor is within easy reach of Plymouth and is close to Buckland Abbey, the 700 year old home of former Elizabethan seafarers Sir Richard Greville and Sir Francis Drake. This is just one of many stunning National Trust properties in Devon and Cornwall. EDEN PROJECT The Eden Project No trip to Cornwall is complete without a visit to the largest indoor rainforest in the world. The Eden Project has been wowing visitors for more than 10 years and boasts a huge collection of plants housed within vast biomes, and set amid landscaped gardens inside a giant former clay pit. The Eden Project is a great day out for the whole family. Burgh Island With its famous Art Deco hotel, now completely restored to its 1930s glamour, Burgh Island off the South Devon coast remains a romantic hideaway. Linked to the mainland only by sea tractor at high tide, Agatha Christie and Noel Coward were among its regular guests. You can also sample the cosy Pilchard Inn on the island. St Michael s Mount An island hideaway located in Mount s Bay, linked by a tidal causeway to the west Cornwall mainland. This iconic rocky island is still home to the St Aubyn family as well as a small community and is crowned by a medieval church and castle - with the oldest buildings dating from the 12th Century.

14 From the sea King Point Marina is easily accessed directly from Plymouth Sound and is located within the inner basin of Millbay, providing sheltered berths with depths between two and three metres below Chart Datum. Access is freeflow at all states of the tide. In unusual weather conditions there may be restrictions to access to and from the marina by vessel. Access King Point Marina is easily accessible from the A38 Devon Expressway and is close to Plymouth s main railway station.
