4 Sektor Case Study Data Locator Group, UK s largest supplier of consumer lifestyle data Project Name - Data Locator Group Location - Watford Contractor - Prodjex Branch - CCF Reading Following a devastating fire at the Data Locator Group (DLG) offices in Watford, the company decided that fire resistance would be high on its list of requirements for its next office fit-out. After the building had been refurbished, DLG moved downstairs to a high-profile, street-facing unit on the ground floor. It asked Berkshire-based interiors specialist, Prodjex, to design a modern open space that would make a good impression on passers-by, yet retain privacy for staff and meetings. Since DLG was working from temporary accommodation, speed of installation was crucial. Prodjex asked the team at CCF Reading for advice. Wayne Carter of CCF Reading was certain that Sektor would fit the bill. In the past, specifiers and contractors have been reluctant to use too much glass in installations that demand good fire performance, he says. The designers of Sektor knew it was an issue, so they created Sektor to offer 30 minutes fire resistance even if the entire installation consists of floor-to-ceiling glass. With our support, Prodjex met the DLG specification and installed its offices in just six weeks. 6 7
