Main area of interest is in sports physiology and there are strong and natural links between teaching and research. Topics of interest include changes in cardiac adaptation, Enzymes and

3 risk factors for cardiovascular disease. Over the last decade my research has been concerned with the influence of exercise on the cardiac and enzymes, Molecular exercise physiology and exercise Biochemistry. Teaching: Sports physiology (from 1993-current; one lecture each week): The course introduces the basics and the theoretical concepts in sports physiology for undergraduate. Applied of sports physiology (from current; one lecture each week): The course covers the practical side for under graduate. Sports physiology (from 2002-current; one lecture each week): The course introduces the basic research methods and theoretical concepts in sports physiology, sports cardiology and sports enzymology for postgraduate. Alternative medicine (2007; one lecture each week) The course introduces the basics and concepts of Macrobiotic diet, Herbal medicine, Reflexology, Flower remedies, Chiropractic therapy, Osteopathy, Ayurveda medicine, Acupuncture, Aroumatherapy, Nutritional medicine and Detoxification programs for post graduate. Top second club and Top girl and one new record 4x50 IM for 12 and 13 years old girls (12 years old boys and girls - Age group) ZAMALIK SPORTING CLUB Senior Coach and Head of Age group Egypt winter National long course 2010 One gold in 800 free style, 3 silver in 50 butterfly, 400 IM and 4x100 IM relay race and one bronze in 50 back stroke. This for 14 years old. Zamalek sporting club came second Top club in rank for 14 years old Boys and fifth top club in rank for girls 14 years old also came third Top club in rank for 11 years old boys. 3 swimmers have been selected for the Egyptian national team. One swimmer in swimming national team and 2 swimmers in open water National team. Senior coach and Head of seniors Cairo open Swimming Championship (summer) various medals as: 3 gold, 8 silver and 4 bronze Top 3 rd club trophy 17 years old boys, 3 rd top club trophy 13 years boys and fourth place in Men and Women. One swimmer has been selected to represent Egypt in Arabian swimming championship which has been held in Jordan. He broke the Arabian record in 1500m free style and got the gold medal and he got bronze medal in 400 free style, August Egypt swimming Cup 2009: 7 medals as; 2gold, 3 Silver and 2 bronze. Zamalek sporting club came fourth in rank in women and sixth in men, fourth in 19 years old girls. Egypt open water cup 2009: Zamalek sporting club came second in rank in 19 years old boys. National youth long course 2008: 5 medals in National youth, 3 silver and 2 bronze. Silver medal in 50

Egypt open water cup 2008: Zamalek sporting club came second in final rank open men and women. Silver medals in both boys and girls 15 years old. Fourth place girls 16 years old. Zamlek sporting club came second in final rank 15years old girls and fourth in Boys. They came also second in girls and first in boys in regional. Zamalek sporting club came third in final rank and first in regional rank in 16 years old girls Egypt swimming cup 2008 long course: 24 swimmers qualified in 82 events. Zamalek sporting club came fourth in rank with 13 various medals. ISM 2008 International swim meeting (Berlin, Germany) 10 swimmers representing Zamalek sporting club in ISM, 4 medals have been achieved. 3 Gold and one bronze medal, that s beside the swimmers who qualified to the Finals. 139 swimming team representing 19 Nations have been participated in this international swimming competition. Zamalek sporting club came twenty first in final rank. National youth short course 2008: 15 various medals. Regional youth short course 2008: 35 various meals. Top club men and women, 19 years old boys, 16 years old boys. Second Top club 17 years old boys, 16 years old girls and 15 years old girls. Third Top club 17 years old girls and 15 years old boys. National youth Long course 2007: 12 medals in Nationals youth 2007, 4 gold 5 silver and 3 bronze. First place and gold medal in 50 m Back Men, second place in 100 m Back men and third place in 200 m Back men. 3 gold medals in 50m, 100m, 200m Back 19 years old Boys. Bronze medals in 400m IM 19 years old boys. 3 silver medals

Top boy and Top girl 14, 15 years old and open. 45 various medals from 14 years old to open. Open water: First place boys and second place girls in 5K open water. Third place boys and girls in 4K 14 years old and third place boys in 5 K 15 years old boys WSSC (ENGLAND): SWIMMING COACH AND HEAD OF AGE GROUP 6 swimmers qualified to the Nationals 2006, 5 in youth Nationals and one in Age group Nationals. Chris walker- Hebborn came second in 100 and 200 m back stroke. He went and He is 16 years old. 21swimmers qualified to the Regional. Top club, Top boy and Top girl in County Development meet June swimmers have been selected to represent Suffolk at the 3 counties gala in December WSSC club came fifth after the third round in Speedo League 2006/2007. (Second in the first & second Round and fifth in the third round, Division one-london). WSSC club came second in winter league round 2 and first after Round 3. In 2007 there are 73 swimmers qualified in 489 events for the County Championship, 42 swimmers from Age group qualified in 296 events for the County Championship. Swimmers also compete at District, Regional and National levels. Alex Harrison qualified to the Nationals 2007 and she came second in 100 M and 200M breast stroke TO 2006 Heliolido sporting club: Swimming coach Coach to Ikramy zakareya boy14 years old: he is in the National team. He got one bronze in 100m Fr. He is 11years old. Nationals TO 2005 ZMALEK SPORTING CLUB. Swimming coach. Coach to Ahmed wael broke two Egyptian junior records in 50m butterfly and 50m freestyle. He went in 50m butterfly and in 50m freestyle-long course-also he got one gold medal in 100m butterfly, Silver medal in 100 freestyle and silver medal in 100m Breast stroke. Coach to Ola Amen: one bronze medal in 100m back, Mentallah Mohsen One bronze medal in 200m breast stroke. (Age group Nationals 2002) long course. Coach to Amira Shams; gold medal in 100 M butterfly. Nourhan Hammed 2 silver medals in 100 M and 200M free style. Also she got the bronze medal in 200m IM. Coach to Kareem Osama; Silver medal in 100 M butterfly. (Winter Nationals 2003 long course). Amira Shams set up a new record in 5o m butterfly. She got a gold medal in 100m butterfly. Coach to Nourhan Hammed; gold medal in 200M free style, Silver medal in 100M free style and bronze medal in 200m IM ;Top girl. Coach to Kareem Osama; gold medal in 100m butterfly. (Summer Nationals 2003 long course). Amira Shames; Gold medal in 100 M fly. Kareem Osama; silver medal in 100 M fly. Mayar Gamal; silver medal in 200 m breast. Gold medal in 4 X 100 m IM (They are 12 years old). This result has been achieved in Summer Nationals TO 1999 Shooting sporting club Swimming coach Coach to Mahmmod el-gindy -Boy 11 years -old broke the Egyptian junior record in 50 m breast stroke and set up a new record in long course-and got the golden medal in 100 m breast stroke and second in 200 m breast stroke (long course). He has been selected to the age group National team.

12 Coach to Ahmed soilyman came in second place in 100 m back stroke and silver medal. He has been selected to the Age group National team.( ).all in long courses TO 1996 CAIRO SPORTING CLUB Head of Age group swimming. Personal coach to Sarwat Bahget- boy11 years old- broke the Egyptian junior records in the 100m,200m butterfly and 200m IM and he was Top boy twice in a couple of years in the Nationals. Personal coach to Sarah Ismael ; one silver in 100m butterfly and one gold in 200m freestyle, she is 11 years old. Others: 1.
