If you have a short course time please use swimcalc to convert your time to long course. If you are unsure of what races to enter please speak to your coach for advice before handing in your entry form. Please note that 9 year olds are not eligible to swim in the m events. This gala offers the opportunity to take part in relay events (see event schedule). Please mark on the entry form with a yes or no if you wish to be selected for the team or not. Entry into the teams is paid for by the club and team selection will be made from those participating in other events at the gala. If you do not have a licensed time to place on the entry form please mark as first swim. If you have a Club Gala time you may add this to the form but please ensure you write in the notes section that the time given is from a club gala and not a licensed gala. Age groups/events will be: 9 years: all 50m strokes, 200 Freestyle, 200m IM. 10 years and over: 50m and m strokes, 200 Freestyle, 200m IM. 4x50M Freestyle and Medley relays (single sex, 12 and under; 13 and over) All events will be Heat Declared Winner. 4 Richmond Dales Level 3 Long Course: Meet Conditions 14 th July 2018 (Held under ASA Laws & ASA Technical Rules) Licence Number 3NE ) The meet is to be held at John Charles Aquatic Centre, Leeds, LS11 5DJ the Pool length is 50m of variable depth with 10 lanes & anti-wave lane ropes. A separate swim down facility will be available subject to proper use. 2) Omega (Ares 21) Timing will be in operation with a matrix scoreboard display. Times displayed are for information only. 3) Age groups/events will be; 9 years: all 50m strokes, 200 Freestyle, 200m IM. 10 years and over: 50m and m strokes, 200 Freestyle, 200m IM. 4x50M Freestyle and Medley relays (single sex, 12 and under; 13 and over) All events will be Heat Declared Winner. 4) Entry times must be between the accompanying QTs. Qualification is checked automatically if using the electronic entry file. All entries to swim must have an entry time, for seeding purposes. Coaches realistic times accepted. 5) For paper entries, 25m pool times may be used but must be converted to 50m pool times using ASA Conversion Tables. Submitted entry times may be checked against the ASA Rankings database. The fastest available time, will be used. Electronic entry will provide automatic time conversion. Clubs entering THREE or more swimmers MUST use electronic entry. 6) Ages are as at 14 th July ) Entry fees (per event): 6.00 Sportsystems electronic entries. Coach passes cost which includes refreshments. Coaches will not be permitted on poolside without the necessary pass. PAYMENT MUST BE SENT AT TIME OF ENTRY 8) Entries must be submitted on the official entry file or form and include the swimmer's full date of birth and ASA Registration Number. Please note, this is a first come, 1 st served gala 9) Paper Entries which are not countersigned by an official from the swimmer s club will be returned. 10) Richmond Dales ASC will NOT be responsible for any unaccompanied swimmers on the poolside. The responsibility falls on the club entering the swimmer, who should appoint an individual to be on the poolside i.e. an adult with a coach s pass. 11) Heats will be seeded / spearheaded according to submitted entry times. 12) Awards will be made to the first six in age groups, 9, 10, 11, and 12 and to the first three in age groups 13, 14, and 15/Over. 13) Swimmers will be permitted to compete for only one club during the meet. 14) For safety reasons, only swimmers who have reached the standard of the ASA Competitive Start Award may perform a shallow racing dive from the starting blocks. Starting Blocks are 750mm above water level. Where possible, over-the-top starts will be used during the meet. Swimmers are requested to remain in the water until asked to leave the pool. 15) Admission for spectators will be 6 per day, Children under 12, accompanied by adults, will be admitted free.

Please print your own copy as close to the meet date as possible. 16) Entry cards will NOT be issued. Coaches or Team Managers should advise the recorders of any missing swimmers at least 1 hour before the session start. Seeded heat start lists will then be produced prior to the start time of the session. Complying with this condition will keep the number of empty lanes to a minimum. Early reporting of pre-meet withdrawals would be appreciated. 17) Refunds for withdrawals received after the meet closing date will not be made. 18) Late entries, 7 per event, may be accepted if the meet is under-subscribed. Poolside entries will NOT be accepted. 19) Entries will be accepted on a first come first served basis. 20) Clubs are responsible for checking their entries online and reporting errors or omissions before the meet date. 21) Coaches/Team Managers are responsible for ensuring competitors report to the marshalling area at the required time. Swimmers failing to report to the marshals in time for the start of their race may not be allowed to compete. 22) Anyone found damaging or misusing property or equipment at the host venue may be disqualified from any further involvement in the competition and may be subject to further action from the Pool Management. 23) Neither Richmond Dales ASC, the John Charles Centre or Leeds City Council can be held responsible for loss or damage to spectators' or swimmers' property. Swimmers are advised to use the lockers ( 1 refundable) in the changing rooms and not to leave belongings unattended in the changing area or on poolside. 24) Anyone wishing to use video or photographic equipment within the pool area must register at the spectators desk beforehand. 25) The Lead Referee for the meet is Mr Iain Young IAIN-YOUNG1@sky.com 26) There will be a swimwear shop (NESS) and meet merchandise available at the event. 27) Any points not covered here will be at the discretion of the Promoter / meet organisers.
