By registering for the 2019 US Na onal Table Tennis Championships, all par cipants are subject to possible selec on for drug tes ng as conducted by the US An Doping Agency. 8. MEDICAL AND TRANSPORTATION RELEASE I hereby give consent for the organizers of the 2019 US Na onal Table Tennis Championships to provide me with athle c trainer and emergency medical treatment. This release is effec ve for the period of June 30 July 5, I swear and affirm that I am in good physical condi on and I am not aware of any previous or exis ng diseases or injury that would result in my being injured. I further acknowledge that I have procured on my own and currently hold valid and adequate insurance for such loss, damage, or injury and if I do not have valid and adequate insurance, I accept full responsibility for the cost of the loss, damage, or injury that might occur as a result of my par cipa on in the 2019 US Na onal Table Tennis Championships. I give my consent to par cipate in any and all emergency transporta on associated with ac vi es during the 2019 USA Table Tennis Na onal Championships, in the event I become incapacitated or otherwise not conscious to give direct consent and I accept full responsibility for all costs associated with all emergency transporta on as deemed necessary. Further, as the parent/guardian of a par cipa ng minor athlete, I hereby give my consent for complete medical treatment and emergency transporta on services as deemed necessary beyond the on site athle c trainer or emergency medical treatment provided. 9. MEDIA AND PHOTO RELEASE Any image, photographic, or otherwise, taken of tournament play or within the official venue is essen ally the property of USA Table Tennis regardless of the Approved status of the recording instrument or photographer. Entrants agree to allow their voice and likeness in such images to be reproduced in connec on with USA Table Tennis by way of any medium. USA Table Tennis is not responsible for nor can they control the use of camera phones inside the venue. Par cipants are hereby no fied of this policy. Rules: The 2019 US Na onal Table Tennis Championships will be conducted under the USATT Rules. All decisions by the Tournament Commi ee will be final and contestants upon entering agree to abide by them. Equipment: Tables and nets: JOOLA. Balls: Ni aku Premium 40+ (White). Floor: For the 2019 Na onals, USATT expects that each and every court (120) will be ma ed with compe on red rubberized flooring. Rackets in all events are subject to random tes ng for vola le organic compounds (VOC s). Any glues containing VOC s will cause the racket to fail. EXCEPT FOR HARD BAT AND SANDPAPER EVENT S, RACKETS MUST COMPLY WITH THE RED/BLACK RULE. Clothing: The USATT Dress Code will be enforced. No white clothing will be allowed. Players must wear the assigned number or their name on the back of their shirt when compe ng. Names must be large and visible to spectators. It is recommended that each player come to the table with 2 dis nc vely different colored shirts. Entries Event Star ng Times: Par cipants in the 2019 US Na onals may not enter two events that are scheduled to start at the same me. RATING EVENTS 52 68: These events will have RR groups of 6 with 1 advancing to the SE stage. Players may enter a maximum of 6 ra ng events based on their ra ng as of 4/11/2019. Events chosen must be within any 6 sequen al order that are above his/her ra ng used for the 2019 US Na onals. For example, if a player s ra ng is 1146, he/she may par cipate in any or all of the following: U1200, U1400, U1600, U1800, U2000 and U2200. However, he/she may NOT par cipate in the U1200, U1400, U1600, AND U2200 and U2300 events since this covers a range of more than 6 events. Note that the U2200 TSRR does not count towards these 6 ra ng events, see FAQ for more details. Players that are over the ra ng limit of an event will automa cally be entered in the next higher ra ng event. If two events with the same start me are entered, the player must decide in which event they choose to par cipate. Tournament Commi ee will choose on behalf of the player which event is to be played if the player could not be reached by phone and/or . RATING DOUBLES EVENTS: Players MUST be rated under 2500 to par cipate in the U4200 Doubles and under 2000 to par cipate in U3200 Doubles. Ra ng Adult and Junior Events: Players entering the Ra ng Junior events must be born on or a er 1/1/2001 (18 and under). Players entering the Ra ng Adult events must be born on or before 12/31/2000 (19 and over). Doubles Partners: Players MUST enter with a partner in all doubles events. USA Table Tennis will NOT arrange for a doubles partner. USATT cannot be responsible for the nonpar cipa on of your selected Doubles Partner. It is the responsibility of the players to contact his/her doubles partner about par cipa ng in the event. Players without a ra ng at the Qualifica on me can t enter ra ng doubles events. Partners withdrawing before May 31, 2019, may be replaced provided the replacement partner has a lower ra ng than the original partner, partners withdrawing a er May 31, 2019, may not be replaced. If you have not found a doubles partner as of June 1st, you will be dropped from the event. Adding or Dropping Events: For Par cipants elec ng the Flat Fee Event Entry Structure, events may be added or dropped up to 05/20/2019. A er 05/20/2019, no addi onal events may be added to your registra on, events may only be dropped. For Par cipants elec ng the Event Fee Pricing Structure, the par cipant may subs tute one event already purchased for another up to May 20, 2019; such par cipant may also purchase (for 80.00) and add addi onal event(s) up to May 20, PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE NO REFUNDS FOR EVENT FEE PAY STRUCTURE FOR events that the par cipant elects to drop or from which the par cipant withdraws. Please see below for the full REFUND POLICY. Age Restric ons: Players assume the responsibility of entering the appropriate age events. Players who are over/under the age limit of an event will automa cally be entered in the correct age event. Unrated Players: players without USATT ra ng: Players may enter any championship event for which they are otherwise eligible. Players who are unrated on the seeding date (6/07/2019) will not advance to the single elimina on stage of ra ng restricted RR events. Players who enter a ra ng restricted event without a ra ng and who acquire a ra ng between the qualifica on cutoff (4/11/2019) and the seeding (6/07/2019) will be permi ed to advance provided their new ra ng meets the event s requirements. Unrated players are not permi ed to enter ra ngrestricted single elimina on events. Matches: All matches at the 2019 US Na onal Table Tennis Championships will u lize 11 point game rules with the excep on of Hardbat and Sandpaper events (see Hardbat and Sandpaper info). Men s and Women s Championship events will be best of seven (11 point games) from the round of 32. All RR events will be the best of five (11 point games). All other events will be the best of five (11 point games), single elimina on, unless otherwise indicated. Event Scheduling: Events are not guaranteed to be completed on the same day that they begin. No refunds will be given for early departure. All events will be completed by Friday (July 5, 2019) evening. Any event may be cancelled if the event contains less than four players or pairs, as appropriate. (For Event Fee Par cipants, the cost of an event cancelled for lack of appropriate numbers of par cipants will be refunded.) In the case of event conflicts, the player is responsible for no fying the Control Desk as soon as possible. In case of an inadvertent error, liability is limited to the refund of the event fee for the event(s) involved. Each event will begin on the date/ me designated on the form, and it will con nue at regular intervals un l a champion has been determined. An entrant s signature on the tournament entry form acknowledges that the dates are acceptable for par cipa on in the registered events regardless of any holidays, federal, state, local, religious, or foreign. Championship Age Events: Players must be over 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 75, 80 and 85 as of December 31, Players in the 21 & Under Men s and Women s Singles must be born on or a er January 1, Proof of age must be readily available at the tournament. Withdrawal/Refunds: FOR PARTICIPANTS ELECTING THE FLAT FEE PAYMENT STRUCTURE: A 50 processing fee will be charged to any par cipant who withdraws from the tournament prior to May 20, There will be NO REFUNDS given a er this date except for injured players with a signed doctor s note. Please note that there is s ll a processing fee for those persons who withdraw a er presen ng a signed doctor s note. Withdrawal no fica on must be in wri ng at USATT Headquarters in order to receive a refund. FOR PARTICIPANTS ELECTING THE EVENT FEE STRUCTURE: There are NO REFUNDS. However, if a par cipant presents a signed doctor s note and requests to withdraw from the tournament, that par cipant will be refunded the fees paid under the EVENT FEE PRICING structure minus a processing fee. PLAYING FORMATS: Youth Events: (Events 6 13) First two stages will be RR groups and stage 3 (main draw) will be played in a single elimina on format. Men s and Women s Singles Championship Events: In the Men s Singles, the top 16 players will be seeded into the main draw of 64 players. In Women s Singles, the top 8 players will be seeded into the main draw of 32 players. Depending on the number of entries, all other players will be drawn into qualifica on RR groups to advance into the main draw. The main draw will be played in a single elimina on format. All matches from the round of 32 will be played best of seven games. All other matches will be played best of five games. Seeding in the Men s and Women s Singles Championship are based on: (i) the player s ranking in the June 2019 ITTF World Rankings, provided that the player is listed in the top 300 of that lis ng, but such form of seeding is LIMITED TO A MAXIMUM of the first eight seeds either such event; then (2) the USATT Ra ng List generated on 06/07/2019.

8 Prospectus 2019 US Na onal Table Tennis Championships The US Na onals is the second senior and second youth qualifying compe ons (Na onal Ranking Tournaments) for the 2019 TTTeam USA season. It is part of the USATT Na onal Team Program and Selec on Procedures that can be found here h ps:// tabletennis/team usa/selec on procedures. Junior Boys and Girls Teams: Corbillon Cup System: 4 singles and 1 doubles. A X, B Y, doubles, A Y, B X Playing system will be Single Elimina on or Round Robin depending on number of entries. Scheduling of Youth Singles Events: Monday play for events 6 13 is only the qualifying phase and the main part of these events will occur later in the week: Tuesday and Wednesday in the case of Juniors and Hopes; Wednesday and Thursday in the case of Mini cadets; and Thursday and Friday in the case of Cadets). Limita on for Players Compe ng in Youth Events: Players compe ng in Youth Events (Hopes Junior) may not compete in the U2200 TSRR. Prize Money in Youth Events: Please note that all prize money awards in Youth Events, which are designated with a V, are to be paid and sa sfied in full as value in kind with a USATT voucher that can be the submi ed by the recipient only for payment towards ITTF Tournaments, USATT Na onal Ranking Tournaments and/or TTTeam USA / USATT Training Camps. Such vouchers are non transferrable. DEFAULTS IN YOUTH EVENTS OR MEN S AND WOMEN S Singles and Doubles CHAMPIONSHIP EVENTS: (Events 1 17, 89 96) An athlete who defaults in any Youth and/or Men s or Women s Championship Event is considered to have completely, fully and finally defaulted the opportunity for any further par cipa on whatsoever in the 2019 US Na onal Table Tennis Championships. However, in cases where the default is due to illness or injury, an athlete may appeal to the Tournament Director for the right to be permi ed to par cipate in a separate Youth and/or Men s or Women s Championship Event for which the athlete has previously registered other than the Event in which the athlete defaulted. The Tournament Director is vested with the sole authority, without opportunity for appeal, to determine whether the athlete s default was due to a verifiable injury or illness and whether said athlete should be permi ed to compete in a said separate Event. Seeding: Seedings in the Youth Events, the 21 & Under Men s and Women s Singles Events and the Men s and Women s Singles Championship (Events 1, 2, 6 13, 16, 17) are based on: (i) the player s ranking in the June 2019 ITTF World Rankings, provided that the player is listed in the top 300 of that lis ng, but such form of seeding is LIMITED TO A MAXIMUM of the first eight seeds in any one event; then (2) the USATT Ra ng List generated on 06/07/2019. Open Sandpaper and U1700 Sandpaper, Events 81 82: The same rules as Hardbat (see below) will apply except the equipment will be a wooden blade with a sandpaper only cover on the playing surface. All players must be US Ci zens and proof must be submi ed with the entry form. 38mm balls will be used. Quarterfinals through Final will be 3 out of 5, 21 point games; all other matches will be 2 out of 3. Hardbat Ra ngs will be used for eligibility and seeding. Event 82 Eligibility and seeding for the U1700 Sandpaper RR Singles event will be determined by the player's hardbat ra ng (or USATT ra ng at the seeding cutoff date of 6/7/2019, if the player does not have a hardbat ra ng). Hardbat Events: Hardbat rules, as adopted by the USATT Classic Table Tennis Commi ee, will be used for all hardbat events. See for the complete list of official rules. As in all events, a ques on of racquet legality is the decision of the Tournament Referee. Rackets complying with all requirements of the rules for hardbat rackets shall be legal. These events do not count for USATT ra ngs points. Both eligibility and seeding for the hardbat events will be determined by the player's hardbat ra ng (or USATT ra ng at the seeding cutoff date of 6/07/2018, if the player does not have a hardbat ra ng). If the par cipant enters the U 2000 hardbat RR, U 1800 hardbat RR, or U 1500 hardbat RR and there are insufficient entries, he/she will automa cally be moved into the U 2000 RR, U 1800 RR, or U 1500 RR, if eligible. All hardbat matches will be played to 21 point games. All matches will be the best of 3 games, except for the quarterfinals, semifinals, and final of events 71, 72 and 81, which will be best of 5 games. Balls: Ni aku Premium 40+ (White). Films/videotapes: Anyone wishing to make films or videotapes of the matches must receive wri en permission from USATT Headquarters. You may record yours or your family member s own matches provided you get permission from the opponent first. No videotaping of the Men s and Women s Semi Finals or Finals matches is allowed. Cancella on Without Fault: USATT will refund 50% of all entry fees paid by par cipants if the U.S. Na onals event is cancelled or par ally cancelled due to acts of God, force majeure, war within the con nental U.S., governmental authority, disaster strikes, civil disorder, or curtailment of transporta on services that prevent at least 50% or more of USATT par cipa on from a ending the event. Water will not be provided. Drinking fountains will be available in the venue. Creden als: Lost creden als will not be replaced. A replacement will need to be purchased at the registra on desk for 35. There will be no excep ons. Prize Money Checks: Prize money will not be paid for no shows, splits, dumping, or defaults (except for verified cases of injury, illness, or emergency). Prize money checks which are not claimed at the tournament site will be mailed to the winner within one month of the conclusion of the tournament. Prize money checks that are not cashed in 120 days will be forfeited.
