4 Match Site Highlights Howard Amon Park 500 Amon Park Drive, Richland, WA Restrooms available next to courts. No locker rooms. Water and ice available NO alcohol allowed on site. 5 Tri City Court Club 1350 N Grant St, Kennewick, WA Locker room with showers available. Bring your own towel for showers. Water and ice on site Snack bar on site to purchase items. Some hospitality also provided by TCCC and is for all Sectional players. All players must sign waiver each day. 6 CAPTAINS CHECK-IN Richland Community Center (500 Amon Park Drive, Richland, WA 99352) Friday from 11:00 am-2:00 pm Pick up the following: T-shirts Captain s Folder Supplemental Local League Awards to complete enough for your full team roster Submit Photo Waiver form signed by all participants Raffle items for some lucky captains 2017 Sectional Changes No player party (extra night with your teammates!) Friday, September 22, Taverna Tagarisis offering 15% off wine for players and families and a free meze plate appetizer per player. On Saturday, September 23, Gaslight Bar & Grill is offering 20% off everything for players. A DJ starts at 10pm for dancing (this is a 21 & over bar). 7 Line-Up Cards Pick up from the Tournament Desk Double-check the line-up card before turning it in (make sure names are correct) Write legibly and use name listed on Tennis Link All players need to be on site and ready to play before turning in line-up. After line-up is turned in, there are no changes without Tournament Director approval (per regulations) Pre-Match Notes Report to the Tournament Desk 30 minutes before scheduled match time. Matches may go on early if both line-up cards are turned in and a court is available. Score tenders must be used on court. 10 minute warm-up 7

8 Post Match Instructions Both pairs report scores and bring balls to tournament desk. Both captains review and must sign scorecard when match is complete Standings/Scores Scores will usually be posted online within an hour after the match is complete Standings and results can be accessed at tennislink.usta.com or using the USTA app. Instructions will be available at each tournament desk. 8

9 Finals Flight winners will play each other in Finals on Sunday morning at Howard Amon Park. Your team s primary and secondary contacts will be texted match details the evening before the Finals to confirm you are playing. The Section Champion will receive awards and Championship Banner. The 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5 Champions will for the PNW Tri-Level team and will be eligible to participate at the BNP Paribas Tri-Level Invitational in March 2018 at Indian Wells, CA. Miscellaneous Items T-Shirt Exchanges Friday and Saturday TCCC Sunday Howard Amon Park Stringing Available Friday and Saturday at Sporthaus Text Messaging You and your registered players will receive a text message on Friday at about 9:00 am. We will use this service in case of delays or other tournament details. 9

10 Miscellaneous Items Social Media Contest On Facebook or Instagram check-in and post shots of your team having fun off the courts at Sectionals using #PNWSectionals. Our favorite will receive a $100 gift card to Tennis Warehouse! SPORTSMANSHIP Sportsmanship Looking for great sportsmanship from all! Nominate someone at the Tournament Desk Staff may also give 2017 Sportsmanship pins if we see acts of great sportsmanship. 10

11 T-Shirt Design Winner Many great entries were received Hoover Li of Portland was the winner Line Assistants For Line Call issues, do the following: Court Roamer/Tournament staff will get one spectator from each team to stand at net posts. They cannot make line calls or foot faults. They only confirm or overrule a line call when asked by a player. If they confirm, the call stands. If they both do not confirm, the call is reversed. If they disagree, a let is played They can confirm an egregious foot fault when asked by a player. Line assistants may not interpret any other rule of tennis and should stand quietly at the net post 11
