Ref: CES//4072/ Hazardous Journey Inspection High Catton Crossroads to Stamford Bridge Primary School General Time of Assessment: Weather: Prolonged rain Total Journey length: 0.9miles The inspection of this route commences at High Catton Crossroads A pedestrian should proceed along High Catton Road toward Stamford Bridge. This part of the journey is subject to a 30mph limit, the road is straight and level with streetlights and a path separated from the carriageway. The road is lightly trafficked. i) High Catton Crossroads ii) Village Exit As the pedestrian leaves the village the road is subject to a 60mph restriction. The footway continues beyond the village, but ends before the bend in the road at 0.1 miles from the crossroads. Adequate step offs are available both sides of the road and sightlines are good.

2 ii) High Catton Road iv) High Catton Road At 0.6 miles the pedestrian enters the village of Stamford Bridge, the village is subject to a 30mph limit with a footpath both sides of the road and streetlighting. Total journey length 1.1 miles. Collision History In the past 3 years there have been 2 collisions on the route between Catton and the Stamford Bridge Primary none of these involved pedestrians. Conclusion Under Road GB guidelines the walked route between Cleaving Grange Farm Londesborough, and Londesborough village is NOT HAZARDOUS Risk Level of this activity is 6 Tolerable Risk considered normal for day to day activity, no intervention required but consider possibility of additional control measures as far as is reasonably practicable
