3 GET YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY TOGETHER AND DO SOMETHING AMAZING FOR YOUR LOCAL HOSPICE! Last year, more than ten thousand people attended LOROS events; from jumping out of planes to dressing as clowns at our Twilight Walk or attending the Hospice to light up our Christmas tree at the annual Light Up a Life service. LOROS events have something to offer everyone and the fantastic thing about getting involved is that you are playing a vital part in helping us to care for terminally ill people living in our community. Each year, LOROS needs your help to raise in excess of 6 million pounds so that we can continue to care and support more than 2,500 terminally ill patients, their families and carers living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. By taking part in a LOROS event and raising sponsorship, you are making a vital difference. At LOROS we are proud to say that 90p from every pound raised goes towards patient care. Using our handy key on the page opposite you can navigate your way through our brochure and find the events that most appeal to you. Highlights this year include the return of the much anticipated LOROS Ball in November, and our Twilight Walk is set to be THE BIGGEST girls night out in Leicester returning with an all new Under the Sea theme. Whether you re an adrenaline junkie looking to tick something off your bucket list or you simply want to have some fun with friends and family whilst doing something good for a worthwhile cause, we have something for everyone. We organise regular training walks for everyone taking part to help you meet and get to know the other walkers, as well as build up your own fitness and test out your walking gear before the trip itself.
