2 WALK TO SCHOOL Our school started with Walk to school 2017 on 9 th November October,2017 till 3 rd Total students participated were around 150 and covered 1531 walks to school. 12 school students from year 4 and year 6 took the leadership role of maintaining whole school approach of WALK TO SCHOOL and that s how we created WALK TO SCHOOL TEAM at Good Samaritan. AT GATES- 12 Students leaders divided in a group of 4 each has positioned themselves at 3 entries of school every morning. They distributed, promoted all incoming and outgoing parents and families. This everyday presence has made student participation better just at the initial days of program start AT CLASSROOMS- Our proud supporter for the program, SECOND BITE has said yes to provide us with free fruits supplies for the whole month of October. This has gained more interest by students as we have kept a bowl full of fruit at each class and thus encouraging HEALTHY EATING as well along with ACTIVE LIVING. Walk to school team is super excited to continue this program in following week with more and more students getting involved. 2 WALK TO SCHOOL 2017

4 Walk to school team also conducted SLOGAN WRITING activity on all gates. Every morning at all three gates, we students were asked to write more about their experience of being involved in this program from more than 1 week now. 5 Walk to school team also conducted painting event, where all the students were asked to cover WALK TO SCHOOL theme based colorings. Some of the beautiful colorings based on WALK TO SCHOOL theme.
