The Committee was advised that a meeting has been scheduled for July 27 to co-ordinate the parking options for the Rosewarne parking lot. The Roads Engineer presented a map submitted by Canada Post showing the site locations for community mailboxes. The Committee was advised that the District has plans to install a sanitary sewer on Wellington Street North from Monck Road to Manitoba Street North via a local improvement. THE COMMITTEE WAS UNAWARE THAT THIS WAS GOING TO BE UNDERTAKEN BY A LOCAL IMPROVEMENT, BUT RATHER WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT A DEVELOPER WAS IN NEED OF EXTENDING THE EXISTING SYSTEM AND WOULD BE BRINGING THE SANITARY SEWER LINE DOWN WELLINGTON STREET. GIVEN THE CHANGE IN FUNDING, THE COMMITTEE ASKED THAT THE DISTRICT REVIEW THE NEED IN THE AREA FOR A SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM BY TAKING A COUNT OF THE QUALITY OF THE EXISTING SEPTIC SYSTEMS.
