1 Contractor Safety Award 2016 Application form TenneT strives for top safety performance and we see our contractors as our partners in safety to jointly accomplish TenneT s Safety Vision We want the best contractors to work for us, giving leading examples, valuable initiatives and showing best in class behaviour in the field of safety. All safety efforts deserve recognition, the best ideas, behaviours and examples earn a price. Starting this year TenneT will hand out the TenneT Contractor Safety Award to show our special appreciation and to give Safety the highest public awareness. Stay tuned. Safety first! 2 General questions How do you consider safety in your company? Please describe briefly your policy/ambition and main safety goals and the way you want to achieve these; focus on how you ensure continues performance. What is the role of management in the role out of your safety strategy? Please describe briefly in what way managers are held accountable for safety performance and how they show true safety commitment towards staff as well as contractors. How would you describe the safety culture in your company? please indicate your level of safety culture and how you measure this (e.g. refer to the Safety Culture Ladders terminology); mention successful and perhaps also less effective actions taken to improve the safety culture; explain the role of employees and the involvement of your subcontractors.

3 Your entry Please fill in a short title that describes your entry best: TenneT will assess all entries according to the following criteria. Please note that your submission does not have to meet all of the criteria. Your submission makes a demonstrable contribution to safety within TenneT. E.g. team or person that has a tangible positive effect on safety behaviour of others and colleagues E.g. ideas that has increased safety culture within a specific project Your submission has devised a technical solution which will enhance TenneT s safety performance. E.g. technical adjustments that make us less exposed to risks E.g. technical adjustments that prevent incidents from happening Your submission has proposed or implemented process improvements which will enhance TenneT s safety performance E.g. developing a working method that cause incidents to decrease E.g. changing procedures or instructions for a safer working environment Your submission has averted a potential safety incident at TenneT E.g. your company has raised awareness for a potential safety incident E.g. your company has taken preventive measures to prevent incidents from happening Please explain why you think your company should win the TenneT Contractor Safety Award. What advice would you like to give to TenneT regarding your initiative/project/change (e.g. in terms of lessons learned or need for further support)? You can upload a photo, video or other material relating to your nomination as an attachment to safety@tennet.eu together with your application form (at least one photo of the nominee(s) and two pieces of evidence to support your nomination, e.g. photo of a situation or technical solution, document describing process improvements.*) * If you do not have photos or documents, do not let this deter you from submitting your nomination. You can give all necessary information in your written description.

5 Enclosure Rules Contractors may make their pitch by filling in and saving the registration form and sending it to Entries close on 11 October Entries received after this date will be disregarded. The TenneT Contractor Safety Award 2016 will be presented to the best-performing contractor (e.g. suppliers and service providers) in terms of safety. Best-performing means a contractor that demonstrably contributed to at least one of the four criteria mentioned on the TenneT website. Contractors may make their pitch by filling in and saving the registration form and sending it to safety@tennet.eu. Your entry must be supported by your TenneT contact person. One TenneT Contractor Safety Award 2016 will be presented. Only the winner will be invited to the presentation on 15 November The winner s name will be published on the TenneT corporate website and the winner will receive a certificate and a prize in the form of a safety lunch with TenneT s Executive Board to discuss safety and learn from each other. The winner represented by its management and/or management representatives will be expected to attend in order to receive the TenneT Contractor Safety Award The contractors placed second and third will be informed and may publish their nominations after 15 November 2016 on their own media channels for a period of one year. TenneT will provide the content of the communication. Other entries will be destroyed one year after they were received. Privacy statement The data submitted will be used solely for the stated purpose, namely the TenneT Contractor Safety Award Submitted videos and/or photos will be used for PR purposes and will be the property of TenneT. Entries not selected by the jury among the top three will be destroyed one year after they were received. There will be no correspondence about the result.
