Debit card pulls from main acct so transfers had to be made appropriately b. Good job raising money through Jr Clinic/States c. Magnolia Jr Clinic <$200 i. Was not sanctioned; can still be reimbursed ii. Johnny Thomas will apply for the $400 reimbursement d. Other money spent on flowers/plaques e. Need to move 2018 Jr Expense ClearLke (LOC Medals) from Jr Acct to Main Acct

Regional Council Bob Archambeau/Chris Eller o 2019 Regionals will by a Lymanland in Alabama o 2019 Nationals at West Palm Beach Trying to figure out additional activities like Kansas Nationals. Ideas such as floating in lake while watching a movie on a projection. Lots of really exciting things coming up. Clubs are more willing to bid on big events because they can make it their way while still staying within rules. Previously Boise, then Kansas, and now West Palm. People are thinking of newer ideas and listening. o Officials for Regionals/Nationals Self-nominate. Forms are on website. Tommy Harrington doing a good job with promoting this. o EVP position open when term is up at Nationals. Bob Archambeau will not be running again. It is a very important role in the skiing organization. Needs to be the right person. If anyone has suggestions, please let us know. You get to meet a lot of new people and get new ideas. KEY: you get to vote. There is an absentee ballot which is in the Regional Guide. Positions: EVP, Director (Lyman Hardy up for re-election), USAW director o Regional Mid-Winter meeting is 1/5/19 in Birmingham, AL. More cost effective to move to Alabama. o Alan Long brought up Austin Rogers putting in to host Regionals. Bob Archambeau wrote a letter to all clubs that could host a Regional tournament. Only 7 responses back. A decision had to be made as it had to be approved by the host city. This year is Lymanland. Bob will send out another letter for next year s Regional tournament. Hoping to be at Roger s Lake soon. b. In order to keep your primary date, you must pay dues as well as attend meeting

Second Erica Bleier PROPOSED RULE CHANGE VOTED DECISION Sanctioned tournament events shall be protected whereas no other North Carolina Club can host a sanctioned event on the same date. In the event more than one club wishes to hold an event on the same date, it is the responsibility of the two clubs to discuss possible options but the club with the primary/secondary date can allow or disallow the event of the other club making the request. Changes and/or agreements must be submitted to the North Carolina Board in writing. Practical can be done at a tournament Jr Clinic a. Will be May 18 th and 19 th 2019 at Skyview b. Coaching Saturday and Sunday c. Will accommodate tournament skiers and beginners d. RV availability for families to stay Saturday night e. Bonfire, cookout, and music on Saturday night IV. Junior Development Committee Allison Blair and Valerie Pollock a. Fundraisers for 2019 i. Jerry Hargis Memorial ii. NC Junior Development Auction 1. Asking for help with finding donations with this b. Junior Development SWAG i. Created a logo ii. Bibs already have these iii. T-shirts, stickers, jackets, etc. c. Activities for kids at tournaments PROPOSAL OWNER VOTED Host club may request up to $500 from Junior account for each primary tournament. May use up to half of the money for entry fees. The rest will be used for activities for kids. Darnell Almond working hard in expanding to align with USAW Water Ski Hall of Fame. (ie award of distinction, lifetime achievement award)

5 b. Items of historical value to donate to Hall of Fame; no permanent location so no where to put them. Possibility of a traveling trailer or permanent spot. Suggestion of possibly at Coble Ski School. Would need to have proposal made to pay for it. VIII. Webmaster a. Continue to give Tommy Harrington $500 i. Motion to accept Johnny Thomas ii. Second Shirley Coble iii. IX. Call for other New Business a. Mike Pelletier wrote about making Beaver Lake Tournament on September 28 th, 2019 one that we ski for a purpose. This could be any purpose such as raising funds for a specific cause like they did for Hailey Mitchell and SMA. Other options such as Gary Pressley and ALS, or could be for a family in need, etc. Does not necessarily need to be for a skier. Will announce the cause at the State Tournament. Requesting that all clubs participate in heading up a portion of the tournament such as fundraising, games, etc. b. Splash Eye i. Regular one can be used for jump; premium adds slalom and trick PROPOSAL Chris Eller will investigate cost of Splash Eye. The North Carolina Water Ski Association will pay for half of the total cost. The other half to be paid by the North Carolina Clubs. Final determination will be made at the summer meeting. DUE DATE Summer meeting Motion to accept Bob Archambeau Second Ari Grode c.
