Time Warner Cable has a strong commitment to working with minority and female entrepreneurs. Our minority vendor purchasing philosophy commits us to long term relationships with minority and female run businesses. Time Warner Cable s minority purchasing policy has been established as a coordinated corporate plan to assist in the economic development of minority-owned businesses. For the purpose of the program, a minority-owned business enterprise is defined as a business that is at least 51% minority-owned. The objective of the program is to provide the opportunity for minority-owned business enterprises to establish a mutually profitable business relationship with Time Warner Cable. The minority vendor program actively seeks minority bids for goods and services, provides assistance for the minority vendor in such areas as specifications, clarification, requirements, standards, and payment terms and conditions, and works with minority vendors to education them about our quality and service requirements. All vendors are asked to identify their ownership as minority and/or female or otherwise in order for us to track and monitor our expenditures. A directory of local vendors is distributed to all personnel involved with using vendors in order for these employees to easily identify and obtain bids from minority and/or female run businesses. A companywide website ( has been established to provide minority and female entrepreneurial information. Supplier Diversity reports are 1

7 created each quarter and reviewed with management to evaluate the effectiveness of our minority and female vendor relationships. 7. Describe the responsibility of each level of the employment unit s management with respect to application and enforcement of it EEO policy and explain the procedure for review and control of managerial and supervisory performance. Employees at all levels are responsible for the implementation and continuing review of TWC s EEO policy. Ultimate responsibility for implementation and review of TWC s EEO policy lies with the Corporate Employee Relations and Regulatory Compliance department. The corporate office provides overall policies, conducts statistical reviews of the workforce, finalizes and submits required government EEO reports, and provides staff assistance and training. This unit s human resources leader is charged with communicating the EEO policy to all units and developing procedures for implementation of this policy at the local level. The Corporate Employee Relations and Regulatory Compliance department is responsible for auditing employment practices at each unit. Results of the audit are reviewed with local and regional HR and Operations leaders. The unit is given 90 days to correct any issues noted during the audit.

8 2012 Recruitment Initiatives CFR (b)(2) FCC UNIT: 1239 Provision of training to management level personnel as to methods of ensuring equal employment opportunity and preventing discrimination. Employees at this Time Warner Cable FCC unit attended the Diversity and Inclusion for Leaders training program. This seminar addresses our business imperative to include people with diverse backgrounds and approaches to meet our organizational goals. The program provides an environment for contemplating and discussing the complex issues that arise from leading an increasingly diverse workforce and supports the company s commitment to equal employment opportunity. This training program is overseen by the Regional Vice President of Human Resources, Vice President of Learning, Development and Inclusion, and is conducted by a local member of the HR team. During the current reporting period, a total of 6 supervisors in this FCC Unit attended the workshop. Hosting at least one job fair. This business unit of Time Warner Cable hosted several job fairs during the 2011/2012 reporting period. One such job fair was held at our Colorado Springs Call Center facility on April 13, Participating in this hiring event were Outbound Sales Supervisors, Outbound Sales Agents, 1 Recruiter and 1 Recruiting Coordinator. Of the attendees, 6 were interviewed for Outbound Sales Agent positions and 4 of these individuals were hired.

9 JOB DESCRIPTION Job Code: CSU500 Job Grade: 00L Posting Title: Manager, Business Services Call Center Location: Colorado Springs, CO POSITION SUMMARY: The purpose of this position is to oversee and manage the day to day activities for the Business Services Customer Support group. This position includes major functional responsibilities of managing and coordinating the activities of assigned Business Services Support personnel. This person will guide the Customer Support group in a collaborative environment to analyze, develop and execute Business Services initiatives that achieve strategic goals. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Will lead and direct the work of others. Create workforce management forecasts/staffing analysis, scheduling, budgets and planning. Evaluate current staffing and future needs based on efficiency analysis. Make recommendations for headcount changes. Ensure both external and internal Business Services customers are handled in an efficient and effective manner at the highest quality and satisfaction level possible. Develop performance reports for system stakeholders in order to assure tracking of departmental key performance indicators. Assures operations have and implement tracking mechanisms for all metrics. Review assigned personnel activity to develop objectives related to increasing job skills and to improve the productivity of the department. Respond to customer complaints in a professional manner; attempt to resolve complaints successfully in accordance with established guidelines. Strategically partner with all National Help Desks, National and Regional Operations Centers, and local technical staff to investigate, assess and resolve issues. Act as reference center for Business Services operations. Ability to provide insight into complex technical support incidents, including LAN/WAN environments, DNS, , Web Hosting, Hospitality, Phone Services,PRIs, Sonet, Internet Services, Dedicated Access, Metro Ethernet, multi-modem, routing/switching and other specialized technical problems. Develop department recognition and incentives for employees Creates, recommends and supports procedures that are implemented to attain efficient and effective day-to-day operations including but not limited to Technical Support, AE-Sales support, Billing Support and Field Support processes Ability to analyze current Operations activities and provide suggestions for constant improvement Other duties as assigned JOB REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or equivalent required. BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred. Minimum 3 years experience in high volume call center, technical support experience required; previous leadership experience required. 10 Requires excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to interact with all levels of management, staff and the public. Must be able to handle and diffuse difficult situations as they arise. Requires strong leadership qualities including the ability to motivate employees. Strong proficiency in Telecommunications, local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), Telnet, Internet Protocols (IP), Windows and Mac operation systems. Understanding of Sonet technology, PRI, ETC Experience working in a fast paced customer support environment requiring telephone, , or face-to-face interaction; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Experience with broadband product (voice, video and/or data) technical support is desired. Must possess strong analytical skills. Ability to follow schematics, diagrams or flow charts and the ability to interpret technical instructions, analyze various systems to define and resolve performance issues. Must have a solid technical understanding of telecommunication (digital phone), network hardware, software and ISP Business Class services. Knowledge of CSG and Remedy software programs preferred.
