1 105.3 The FAN s Paper Football Tournament Competition-Fan Bowl OFFICIAL RULES NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. 1. HOW TO ENTER a. These rules govern The The FAN s Paper Football Tournament Competition (the Promotion ) being conducted by The Fan KRLD-FM (the Station ) beginning on Thursday January 10, 2013 at 2:00pm Central Time ( CT ) and ending on February 2, 2013 at 11:59pm CT. b. To participate in the Promotion, you may log onto and follow the links for and instructions to enter the Promotion The Fan s Paper Football Tournament and submit your first name and last name, complete address, city, state, zip code, telephone number, date of birth and a valid address. Only one internet entry per person and one internet entry per address is permitted. Internet entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the address submitted at the time of entry. The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the address by an internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning an address or the domain associated with the submitted address. Multiple participants are not permitted to share the same address. Entries submitted will not be acknowledged or returned. Use of any device to automate entry is prohibited. Proof of submission of an entry shall not be deemed proof of receipt by Station. Station s computer is the official time keeping device for the Promotion. The Station is not responsible for entries not received due to difficulty accessing the internet, service outage or delays, computer difficulties and other technological problems. All online entries must be received by 4:00pm CT on January 30, 2013 or before one-hundred and twenty-eight (128) entries are received, whichever happens first. You must be one of the first one-hundred and twentyeight (128) entries to participate in the Promotion. c. If less than one-hundred and twenty-eight (128) contestants pre-register for the Promotion online and the bracket is not full from online registrations, you may also enter in person starting at 6:00PM CT on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at The House of Blues Dallas 2200 N. Lamar St, Dallas TX and complete an official entry form, while supplies last, including your first name and last name, complete address, city, state, zip code, telephone number, date of birth and a valid address to the KRLD-FM Promotions Department at the event to receive an alternate position. Submissions must be received no later than

2 Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 7:15pm CT. The Station is not responsible for lost, stolen, mangled, misdirected, postage due, illegible, incomplete or late entries. d. One (1) entry per person despite the method of entry. 2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS a. The Promotion is open to all persons who are 21 years of age or older and who reside in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. Employees of the Station, its licensee, the licensee s parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities, Station s advertising and promotional agencies, its participating sponsors, other radio stations in the Dallas Fort Worth metropolitan area, the members of their immediate families (spouse, parent, sibling or child) and those living in the same household of each (whether related or not), are ineligible to enter or win. This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. b. Listeners are eligible to win a prize in a Promotion conducted by the Station only once every thirty (30) days and only once every six (6) months if the prize is valued over $600. Only one (1) winner per household is permitted in any Station promotion. c. The winner must provide valid government-issued photo identification and provide their complete address, date of birth and phone number to claim a prize. d. Entrants are required to provide truthful information and the Station will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent. The Station will disqualify any entry from individuals who do not meet the eligibility requirements. The Station will also delete any entry knowingly received from persons under the age of 13 in compliance with the Children s Online Privacy Protection Act. 3. PRIZES a. Four (4) prizes will be awarded as follows. - One (1) 1 st place winner will receive a $1000 Visa gift card. - One (1) 2 nd place winner will receive a $750 Visa gift card. - One (1) 3 rd place winner will receive a $500 Visa gift card. - One (1) 4 th place winner will receive a $250 Visa gift card. b. The winners will be solely responsible for all taxes and all other fees and expenses not specified herein associated with the receipt and use of the Prize. The Station accepts no responsibility for repairing any real or supposed damage to any prize. Gift cards will be subject to the terms and conditions as set forth by the issuer of the gift cards. *Gift card valid in U.S. Only* Visa Gift Cards can be used to buy merchandise and services anywhere Visa debit cards are accepted, 2

3 except where a manual imprint is required. The cards do not expire. No Fees After Purchase No Expiration of Funds. c. Winners must claim their prizes immediately following the winner selection onsite at the final event on February 2, d. There is no substitution, transfer or cash equivalent for prizes, except that the Station may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes or cash of comparable value. The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and unless otherwise expressly specified, do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Other restrictions may apply. 4. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION a. Decisions of the Station management with respect to the Promotion are final. b. On Saturday, February 2, 2013 starting at 6:00pm CT at The House of Blues Dallas 2200 N. Lamar St, Dallas, TX 75202, all one-hundred and twenty-eight (128) pre-registered contestants may begin arriving for check in. Contestants must be checked in with Station staff by 7:00pm CT. Contestants will participate in a bracket style tournament based off the guidelines listed in section 4c. Contestants that do not show by 7:00pm CT will forfeit the opportunity to participate in the Promotion. If fewer than one-hundred and twenty-eight (128) pre-registered contestants are present and checked in, the Station will select alternate contestants from the onsite entries received. Listeners who have registered as alternates onsite will begin to fill the empty spots of no-shows as well as any unfilled spots and will be selected in a random drawing of all onsite entries received. Contestants as alternates will all be notified by 7:20pm CT. Up to 18 games will be going on at the same time. Each round will be completed once all contestants in that round are finished. Up to 128 contestants can participate in the Paper Football tournament. They will be split into two brackets of 64 people. The final winner from the one bracket will pay the final winner from the other bracket, winner gets first prize and loser gets 2 nd prize. The runner ups from each bracket (the person who lost the final game in each bracket) will play each other for 3 rd and 4 th prizes. If fewer than 128 register onsite by the registration deadline, the Station reserves the right to modify the number of brackets or number of people per bracket as necessary to conduct the Promotion, or only allow the first 64 people who registered to compete for the prizes. The contestant will check in upon arrival at the entry check in and receive a number and a time to participate in the first round of the bracket contest in the paper football contest. Listeners will participate in random parings to compete in the competition based off of the guidelines in section 4c. Listeners must be present for each round at the time given to the contestants or their round will be forfeited. Contestants will be notified on or before February 2, 2013 upon arrival of the exact time they will compete in the first round. After the first round is completed listeners will then begin competing in the 2 nd round, 3 rd rounds and so 3

4 on continuing until there is (1) Grand Prize Winner, (1) 2 nd place winner, (1) 3 rd place winner, and (1) 4 th place winner. The Bracket contest is a single elimination. c. The Fan s Paper Football Rules: Games are ten (10) minutes long and there are no timeouts. The referee will hold a coin toss to determine who gets the ball first. Team who loses the coin toss will kick off. One team will call heads or tails. Losing team of coin toss kicks off to receiving team. Receiving teams starts with the ball. Kickoffs are a palm up hit of the ball with the finger tips off the edge of the table. A kickoff is when the player flicks the football off the edge of their side of table toward the opposing team. A flick means that the player uses their index or middle finger to hit the football off the edge of the table, through the air and down the field toward opposing team. Out of bounds kickoff result in automatic own 20 yard line placement. If the kick goes over the table it is called a touchback. The ball is placed at the 20 yard line of the receiving player. Otherwise the receiving player takes possession where the football lands on the table. Any kickoff that lands out of bounds before the 50 yard line will result in a first down on the 50 yard line for the opponent. Each team gets 4 downs to score (chances). Teams can kick a field goal on 4 th down or go for the touchdown. Team with the ball takes their 4 turns sliding the football across the table top using their fingers in either a flicking motion with the index/middle finger or with a single bump with two fingers, once per turn. An extended pushing of the ball is against the rules. If this occurs the football is placed back to its original location on the field and the offending player loses a down (chance). If the team goes for the touchdown on 4 th down and fails to make the touchdown then the opposing team takes over the ball where the possession ended on 4 th down. Each movement of the ball counts as a down (chance). Touchdowns are worth 6 points, Field goals 3 points, Extra points 1 point, FG s are to be kicked from your own 20-yard line. If the field goal is missed, opposing team starts at their own 20 yard line. Extra Points are to be kicked from the opponent s 20 yard line. Questionable touchdowns are determined by straight flat rulers moving across edge of table. If the game goes into a tie at the end of regulation, there will be a 2-minute overtime, sudden death style. No field goal kicks are allowed. Game is restarted after a score by kicking off. The player who is ahead after 10 minutes is the winner. d. Winners must be present at the final event in order to win but do not need to listen to the Station to win. e. Winners will be notified at the The Fans Fan Bowl event on February 2, The winner must execute and return any required affidavit of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release by February 2, 2013 or prize will be forfeited. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to sign and return the required affidavit of eligibility and/or liability/publicity release within the required time period, or if a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the potential winner forfeits the prize. 4

5 5. CONDITIONS a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winner. The winner will be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 with the winner s full Social Security Number or the equivalent for receipt of any prize valued at $600 or more or for any prizes awarded by the Station (or any other CBS Radio station in Station s market) in a calendar year with an aggregate value of $600 or more. Failure to submit a complete W-9 or equivalent will result in forfeiture of the prize. Such winnings of $600 or more will be reported to the IRS. b. By participating in the Promotion, the winner agrees to have the winner s name, voice and likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to the Promotion without additional financial or other compensation, and, where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize. c. Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, the Station, in its sole discretion, may require Promotion winner (and any travel companion(s) or guest(s)) to sign a liability release, agreeing to release and hold harmless the Station, its licensee, the licensee s parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities, their respective officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives and all of their successors and assigns from and against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize and participation in the Promotion. d. If for any reason this Promotion cannot be executed as planned, including, but not limited to, as a result of infection by computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Station that corrupt or affect the security, administration, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Promotion, or if the Promotion is compromised or becomes technically corrupted in any way, electronically or otherwise, the Station reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Promotion. If the Promotion is terminated before the original end date, the Station reserves the right to select the winners by random drawing from among all eligible non-suspect entries received as of the termination time/date or otherwise modify the procedure for selecting winners. e. The Station, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Station s website. Failure to comply with the rules of the Promotion may result in a contestant s disqualification and/or forfeiture of any prize or prizes. If the Station makes a good faith determination that an entrant has cheated or committed fraudulent activity in connection with a Promotion, the Station reserves the right to disqualify that entrant from entering and/or winning future Promotions and to prosecute and seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law. 5

The Station reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the Promotion, including, without limitation, the substitution of a prize of equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement. If due to circumstances beyond the control of the Station, any competition or prize-related event or travel is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, the Station reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the Promotion and shall not be required to award a substitute prize. g. The Station is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the Promotion or in the announcement of a prize. h.
