The Volcanoes turn to Jason Forjet, who has one four out of his last six outings and is the only undefeated starter in the NWL, against rd-round pick for the Colorado Rockies Ryan Warner Last Time Out: Tri-City walks off again, 4-3 in 10 innings Tri-City walked off for the second consecutive night 4-3 in extra innings over Salem-Keizer Friday night in front of 2,539 at Gesa Stadium. On backto-back nights, the Dust Devils win the game after tying the game in the eighth inning and using walks to its advantage to score the winning run. With the win, Tri-City takes control of the series two games to one against Salem-Keizer. In the bottom of the 10th inning, Cameron McVey, after going through the Dust Devils in the ninth frame, walked the bases loaded. Then, with the sacks full, Renaldo Jenkins snuck a ball just fair down the third base line to win the game. Salem-Keizer jumped out early with a three-run top of the first inning off Dust Devils starter Joel Payamps, featuring RBI hits by Austin Slater and Hunter Cole. The Volcanoes would not score again and only have three hits the remaining nine innings in the game. Meantime, the Dust Devils chipped away at the lead, including grabbing a run in the bottom of the second inning as Shane Hoeschler doubled to lead off the frame and was brought in by Jario Rosario. Volcanoes starter Ethan Miller notched another quality start, going six innings, allowing the run in the second, on seven hits with no walks plus four strikeouts. Tri-City tied the game in the bottom of the eighth inning with a two-run rack, featuring a Hoelscher single and a Miguel Dilone RBI triple.
