RBI Austin, an affiliate of Major League Baseball s Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities program, is a nonprofit organization in Austin, Texas providing baseball and softball leagues, clinics, and year-round mentoring to underserved youth and communities. Founded in 2011, RBI Austin is a mentoring program that leverages baseball and softball to address the fatherless crisis in East Austin. Beginning with 118 kids in 2011 and growing to 1,312 kids ages 4-18 in 2018, RBI Austin has plans for reaching more kids and their families in 2019 and beyond. Over the years and with a growing number of kids and families involved, the mission remains the same: to engage and develop inner-city Austin youth athletically, academically, and spiritually, empowering them to lead the transformation of their communities.
