2 Step 1) Preparatin Yu may need a gd friend t help yu with part 1. Yu wn t need them fr mre than 2 minutes. Yu will need: A hardback bk r shrt spirit level A tape measure Pen and paper A calculatr Allen key t adjust yur seat Step 2) Find a wall Stand bareft (scks are fine) against a wall with yur feet shulder width apart. Heels shuld be against the wall/skirting bard

3 Step 3) Chse yur bk (r level) Whilst standing against the wall, place yur bk r level between yur legs and pull it upwards s that the pressure feels similar t sitting n a saddle. Step 4) Find a gd friend Yu hpefully nw realise why it needs t be a gd friend and nt a randm stranger Have yur friend measure frm the tp edge f the bk r level dwn t the flr. Make sure yu keep the bk level while they d this. If using a spirit level, keep the bubble between the lines. If yu dn t have a special friend t help, make a mark where the tp edge f the bk is n the wall behind yu using a pencil. The measurement in CM frm the tp edge f the bk r level is yur inseam length

4 Step 4) The maths bit T find yur starting saddle height: Take the value frm step 3 and multiply by e.g. if Inseam = 80cm Inseam in CM X = Seat height in CM 80 x = 70.6cm If yu are buying a new bike r are just curius, T find yur apprximate frame size: C-T = 0.67 C-C = 0.65 Inseam in CM X 0.67 = Apprx. Frame Size Frames are measured either centre f bttm bracket t tp f tp tube (C-T) r centre f bttm bracket t Centre f Tp tube (C-C). This shuld be used as a guide nly. Always test ride a new bike befre buying and if pssible, try different sizes. Step 5) Where t measure The value yu gt frm step 4 is yur starting saddle height. 5 Step 6) Making an adjustment T adjust the height f yur seat pst, first lsen the blts in yur seat pst clamp which will lk like this: And be lcated here. Use an Allen key t lsen the blts. N need t cmpletely remve them r the clamp. Just lsen them s yu can mve the seat pst up and dwn. Once yu have adjusted duble check yu are at the crrect saddle height. Keep adjusting in small increments till yu get the right measurement. Tighten the seat pst nuts, ideally using a trque wrench. Step 7) G fr a ride G fr a shrt test ride t see hw the new psitin feels.
