3 THE PREZ SEZ BY JIM MILLER The February mee ng was called to order at 8:00pm sharp with 38 members, four cars driven, and no guests present. The 2016 proposed budget was presented and discussions were had on the new book sale program and what to do with the car games teeter -to er. Bob Andrini gave his report on the financial health of the club. Mike Kessler opened the future tours discussion with an invita on to Hal White on the Utah trip. Delroy Hering commented on the Bea y trip and the San Diego get together. Rita Waroway gave a glowing report on the virtues of Chloride and Shep s Miners Inn for our Saint Paddys trip. A short auc on was held which brought in close to $100 to the club treasury. With all the discussion going on the mee ng went past 9:00 pm a li le but I did not hear any complaints. At the Sunday breakfast there was some discussion on the procedure in ming the Model A. Check out my quick ming procedure in the September 2015 newsle er. That should get most everyone going and a great star ng point for fine tuning the electrical system later. VICE PRESIDENT BY SUZAN LEWIS Being the new Vice- President I was made aware I could write an ar cle for the newsle er. So a er much thought I decided since I am a woman why not write about fashion. So here goes! Two of the most remembered fashions of the 1920's are the cloche hat and flapper dress. The cloche hat was invented in 1908 by milliner Caroline Rebaux. In French cloche means bell. The cloche hat evolved from wide brim hats of prior decade. It is very snug fi ng o en worn lted. Usually covers the forehead but does not obstruct ones vision. Hair in this me period was cut short and styled flat to fit under the cloche. It also covers the ears. The cloche hat and flapper dress were worn together towards the end of the 20's. Next month find out about the flapper dress. SUNSHINE BY CHARLOTTE KESSLER I spoke with Lorraine Hanna and she is looking at another back surgery. She ll see the doctor next month and says hello to everyone. It was very nice to have Sandie & Jack Camburn at the mee ng. Looking good Sandie. Stay well everyone! 3

4 MEETING MINUTES BY JUDY COLLETT Jim Miller called the mee ng to order at 8:00 P.M. Suzan Lewis led the Pledge of Allegiance. There were 38 members present, and 4 Model A s driven. Hal White made a mo on and Dan Prehm seconded and the minutes of the previous mee ng were approved. President: Jim Miller informed us he already has the slow vehicle signs, he s trying to get more informa on on their usage. Moving on, he informed us we have 71 paid members at this me, and a copy of the budget is now available. Jim announced the birthday list, and we have 14 people celebra ng their birthdays this month. Vice President: Suzan Lewis reminded us to buy more ckets for the dark horse drawing. Suzan did a great job with this mee ng s cket sales. Treasurer: Bob Andrini gave his report. Workshop: Jim Miller talked about scheduling the workshop for Kat and Pat McMahon s car, no set date as of now. No other workshops at this me. Tour: Mike Kessler talked about our March 20 breakfast at Shucks and thanked Mark Schieff for his work on our February Breakfast at Bonita Michoacan. We had 36 people in a endance. Mike turned the floor over to Hal White, who gave us a few more points of interest for the Pioche / St. George trip. If anyone has any ideas for a breakfast place, please share them with Mike Kessler. Sunshine: Charlo e Kessler gave her report. Membership & Newsle er: Rita Waroway gave her report. Old Business: What to do with the Club s teeter to er that Steve Colle is storing in his yard for us. Hal White made the mo on to keep it, and Steve Colle agreed to transport it to his storage yard in Pahrump and keep it there ll further no ce. Mike Kessler seconded the mo on. New Business: Dan Prehm mo oned that we make a decision on what to do about the Coca Cola Barbeque that is also being stored. Doug Warren suggested that we get pictures of it and put the in the newsle er to see if we can generate any interest. Pat McMahon seconded the mo on. Auc on: Del Hering donated two very nice Model A car covers, and Bill Grundstrom donated a box of carburetors. Dark Horse: Rita Waroway won the Dark Horse. Great going Rita.
