2 ANNUAL MEETING All shareholders and/or proxy holders attending the Annual Meeting on February 2, 2019 at 9:00 AM are to enter the building as follows: Enter through the library/pool room doors and proceed to the All-Purpose Room, where ballots and other pertinent information will be distributed. Doors will open at 8:00 AM. Once you ve received your packet you will exit the All-Purpose Room through the doors to the swimming pool area, and proceed to the Main Hall, where the Annual Meeting will start at 9:00 AM. REMEMBER: Once you receive your packet, which includes ballots, you will not be able to leave the building. PROXY AGENTS: If you assign your voting privileges to an Agent, make certain this person will, in fact, be attending the Annual Meeting, and this person knows s/he will be casting your ballot. Your Proxy Agent is to pick up your packet at the Proxy Table under your name. Candidate Introductions & Other Info. After the Social Club meeting Monday 28th the candidates for the corporate board will be introduced and will tell you a little bit about themselves. Again this year we will be asking all candidates nominated from the floor to answer the same questions asked of those that submitted there candidate paper. Next Saturday the 2nd of February is the Annual Shareholders Meeting in the Main Hall starting at 9 am. Ballots may be picked up in the Multipurpose room starting at 8 am. Please wear your name badges if you do not have a badge please bring your drivers license. You will need proof of your identity to obtain your ballot. A Corporate board member will be giving a Short follow up to last Mondays Q & A. I will be handing out another block for our BOM challenge. Our calendar says Placemats but with the Barn Quilt Painting class nothing has been prepared for that we will look at doing that later in February or March. Remember to bring your Show & Tell. You WILL enjoy Shelly and Darren s musical show on January 29, Tuesday evening at 7:00 P.M. in the Village Hall. They have been performing together for 25 years at a wide variety of venues. Darren s most proud moment was singing for the military s Medal of Honor recipients and their families. Shelly has sung the National Anthem for over 20 years at different area sporting events. Darren created Daddy D Productions in Daddy D s is Wisconsin s premier Dinner and Variety Show, consistently receives 4 out of 4 star reviews. Shelly & Darren are the traveling duo who bring a compact version of their award-winning show to the RGV. Also, the Daddy D Musical Review Shows are home to the Riverside Ballroom in Green Bay. Tickets are $7.00 each, and are available at the Social Club meetings on Monday mornings. During the week, contact Dick/Gayle at 3026 Sonora Drive ( ). Entertainment is open to the public - tickets are available at the door. Invite your friends to join you for a great show. Doors open at 6:00 P.M. We will be making the book ourselves and hope that all residents will have their picture taken to be included in the directory. Social Calendar for The social calendar for next year is currently being set. Chairpersons will be contacted to verify that they are willing to chair activities next year and to set the date for events. We are always looking for people to lead activities, so if you are willing to be a chairperson, please tell any of the social board officers. Fred Rasmussen passed away Steve Glorfield and Gayle Mead suffered falls but both were at the meeting. We are still wanting to sell a few more bricks to complete the two walls around the shower out in the pool area. Remember, these donations go to pool accessories for that area. This has been a very successful effort with many people stepping up to donate money and then design a brick for themselves. Last week I mentioned having different groups get together to donate the money and design a brick.so come on everyone let s see some bricks for the shufflers, the pool players, some of the card players, things like that! TREASURE HUT NEWS Treasure Hut Hours have changed they now are: Mondays 10:00 to Noon, Wednesdays 8:00 to 11:00, and the Second Saturday of the month 8:00 to 11:00. Thank you for your contributions and remember we take clean, working items. We Do Not take old TV( we do take working flat screens), computers, printers. Please check with the Hut if you have any questions. We still have crutches, walkers, bath chairs, potty chairs, wheel chairs and canes that can be checked out and returned. 7 SPORTS AND GAMES McAllen Senior Olympics Golf Note by Mark McQuire The Siesta Village team of Deena Oungst, Tom Oungst, Jon Oehrlein and Mark McGuire finished tied for 4th out of 23 teams at the Senior Olympics Golf tournament at Palm View Country Club. Deana, also won the award for longest drive for women. Congratulations to all. LADIE S GOLF YIKES, What a blustery day. I fought the wind and the wind won! All 12 lady golfers can attest to this. We had a group competition as well as the individual game. Group #@ consisting of Sharon B, Kay K, Shirley S, and Linda E had the best score. The lowest overall individual score was Linda E, with a score of 35. Congratulations! Linda E, Peggy S and Dawn B all had birdies. Great fun. Peggy SD had a chip in.
