1 Eisenhower Athletic Booster Club A meeting of the Eisenhower Athletic Booster Club Membership was held on Monday, October 8, 2018 at 7:00 PM, at Eisenhower High School, Shelby Township, MI. 2 E. Membership Report- Susan Milosavljevic The Booster Club has a total of 291 members as of October 2018, compared to 247 members last year at this time. The sports with the highest percentage of membership are Cheer- 61%, Football-53%, and Boys Basketball-37%, see attached spreadsheet. Roster was passed to membership to confirm membership and volunteerism. Please see Susan to become a member. 2 types of membership: 1. Standard for $20 2. VIP for $75 comes with a discounted IKE blanket F. Volunteer Report-Lisa Kennelly Please volunteer for each of our event/concession opportunities on Sly Reply at Swinehart Fall Opportunities have started, and help is always needed: 1. Football Concessions support all sports at IKE. The most help is needed in this area and it is one of the Club s largest revenue generating activities. Please considering volunteering if you are not a Football parent, so Football parents can focus on watching their child play. 15 spots are still open for this Friday s game. 2. Girls Soccer 3. Girls Lacrosse 4. Volleyball at Eisenhower G. Coaches Visit Boys Varsity Lacrosse-Andrew Ferrari- No announcements. Committee Reports A. Concessions-Lisa Kennelly Discussed above in Officer Report-out. B. 50/50 Raffle- Valutis Family Varsity Football home games September 21, 2018 made $1923, $962 to the winner, $961 to Boosters. September 28, 2018 made $328, $164 to the winner and Boosters. October 12, 2018 game possible replacements for Valutis family - Jeff Kraski is trying to get Hockey parents to help. C. The Eisenhower Athletic Booster Club Night at the Races Fundraiser-Cindy Nadolski and Cathy West $50 per ticket Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 6 pm We need a sales force, that being you the parents. We are asking for each parent to take 1 ticket. Does anyone have ticket sales completed as of tonight? 2

3 o Baseball is purchasing at least 1 table of 10 o Girls Golf is planning on purchasing a table of 10 o Girls Lacrosse is planning on purchasing a table of 10 Strolling Buffett, Open bar, 50/50, Basket Raffles, Ladies Derby hats with door prizes. Race sponsorship available, auctioned off horses provide 50/50 profit for Booster Club. To reserve tickets to sell on behalf of the Boosters, we have a Raffle Ticket Accountability form to complete so that we can track sold and unsold tickets. Buy tickets here in person or online with a surcharge at Lisa Smith has been individually ing membership invitations to the event. Tonight, is the last night we will be raffling off a ticket for $10. The following are the Night at the Races raffle basket collection updates: 1. Boys & Girls Swim Still collecting donations from families, treasure chest of gift cards. 2. Boys Tennis Coach is still collecting donations from families. 3. Cheer Still collecting donations from families. 4. Hockey Parent Rep is still collecting donations from families. 5. Boys Lacrosse- Basket donation to be submitted next week. The following are the Night at the Races raffle baskets that have already been collected: 1. Girls Soccer Parent Rep donated towards a basket. THANK YOU! 2. Girls Golf Money donated towards a basket. Thank you! 3. Girls Basketball - Parent Rep donated towards a basket. THANK YOU! 4. Girls Lacrosse ReLAX and Enjoy the Game. THANK YOU! 5. Softball A Parent is making a basket to donate on behalf of the team. THANK YOU! 6. Baseball- Basket donated. THANK YOU! 7. Dance- Money donated towards a basket. Thank you! 8. Volleyball- Money collected for donation. Along with basket items: Some Ike apparel UCS Volleyball camp, approx. value of $80 Volleyball warm up jacket, approx. value of $60 2-Ike Volleyball T-shirts 9. Boosters- 3 items never claimed from the Mega Raffle winners. D. Poker Charity Events-new Chairperson, Vesna Matovski Poker Charity Events: We work with 2 facilities One Eyed Jacks and Ciccarelli s through River Poker who gives us 4 dates per year. Staff is needed at these events at all times; each shift is hours, with 3 people at each shift, 6 members per day. Must be a paid member of the Booster Club to volunteer because this is a Booster event, not the teams. Coaches can volunteer if they are a Booster Member. A Poker Charity Team Rotation schedule has been created to make sure these events are given to teams equitably over the school years. These events generate a lot of money and they are easy to run, great fundraising opportunity! 3

4 o Upcoming dates: 3 Unconfirmed dates currently. More information forthcoming at future meetings. If we stay in good standing with the State Licensing Board, we could get an additional 2019 date. E. Eisenhower Athletic Booster Scholarship program- Leslie Valutis College Scholarship: The recipients will receive a check for $500 paid to the institution of their choice and will be acknowledged during Seniors honors night. Requirements were disclosed. Underclassmen Scholarship: Free pay to play worth $165. AD and Administration Reports A. Ken Marnon-Vice Principal Not present. B. John Bertich-Athletic Director Not present. C. AD/Coaches Requests Boys Varsity Lacrosse-Andrew Ferrari i. Request for Helmets for Spring season $186/helmet, total of $7,000 for 35. The quality of these helmets may have more longevity. Since, first proposal, coach was able to re-work the request down to $5600, needs to submit a new request at this amount. Presented by Boys Basketball Coach Thomas Antishin - Athletics Department Request Digital Scorer s Table with Digital advertising component ii. The requested amount from the Boosters was unclear on the request, part of request is submitted to the District - amount needs to be clarified with the Athletic Director, John Bertich. Old Business Boys Basketball Coach Thomas Antishin - Possible request forthcoming for renewal of Krossover instead of HUDL. Boosters needs to research if we are eligible for a package discount since 2 teams are no longer using the HUDL. Hamlin 20% fundraiser card $80.26 deposited for September, please ignore the expiration date, Hamlin Pub has confirmed they will continue to honor indefinitely. Remember to use when shopping Amazon.
