1 April 2 nd, 2019 Dear Youth Dance Parent/Guardian, We are busy planning our 32 nd MSCR Youth Dance Recital: Candy Land! There are over 200 dancers performing in two dance recitals this spring. The following information will provide you with all of the details you need for the rehearsal and recital. If your child will not be dancing in the rehearsal and recital, please let your instructor know immediately so that they can plan accordingly. Rehearsal Friday, April 26 th Rehearsal times begin at 4:30 pm *see enclosed schedule for your rehearsal time Recital Saturday, April 27 th 10:15 am OR 12:30 pm *see enclosed schedule for your recital time We hope you enjoy the program and we look forward to seeing you! Enter LaFollette High School through the Activities entrance on the east side of the building. Wear your costume to both events.

2 Please arrive on time 5 min prior to the start of your rehearsal time 15 minutes prior to your recital time Rehearsal- Friday, 4/26/19 Dancer Drop off - Drop your dancer off in the hallway behind the auditorium 5 minutes prior to the start of their rehearsal time block in their costume(s) and dance shoes. Parents and personal belongings are not allowed in the hallway. After dancers are dropped off, parents may find a seat in the auditorium. Photos may only be taken on rehearsal night: No photos or videos are allowed during the recital. Parent photo area: the front center section of the auditorium is reserved for parents whose dancers are on stage. Please only enter the area when your dancer is on stage and exit when he/she has finished dancing so other parents may take photos of their dancer(s). Procedure: Dance instructors will escort the dancers onto the stage when it is their turn. Each class rehearses once. At the end of the dance, dancers will pose briefly in front of curtain to allow parents to take more photos. When dancers exit the stage you may leave. Recital- Saturday, 4/27/19 Dancer Drop-Off: Drop your dancer off in the hallway behind the auditorium 15 minutes prior to recital in their costume(s) and dance shoes. Parents and personal belongings are not allowed in the hallway. All dancers remain backstage watching a live feed of the show until the end of the show. Dancer Pick-up: Pick up your dancer in the back hallway or off front of stage after finale depending on their class. Specific pick-up locations by class are announced and printed in recital program. Instructors will be available for pictures following pick-up in the commons. Dance recital DVDs: A DVD order form is enclosed. Forms may be returned to MSCR in advance or to the fundraising table at the recital. Shirts: all dancers will receive a recital shirt at their last class. If you missed your last class, pick your shirt up at rehearsal or at the fundraising table on recital day. *If you forget, shirts will be available at MSCR Hoyt, 3802 Regent Street. Fundraising Table: A limited supply of roses will be for sale. We will also have a small selection of celebratory treats. Auditorium Seating: Seating is first come, first serve. If you need to leave the auditorium, please wait until the curtain is closed. Photography: No cameras or video equipment during the recital as they interfere with the video recording of the show. Please remind your entire party.
