April 1, 2015 FT FIRST TRACKS Photo By: Riley Frances Boone THANK YOU FOR AN AMAZING SEASON! THANK YOU, JHMR EMPLOYEES!
Letter from Jerry As we approach the end of the season it is a great time to reflect on our performance for the year. We all know there are numerous metrics that form our collective season results: Snow, Skier Visits, Revenue, etc. Well snow was, as it always is, key in destination skier decision making. Fortunately this season the when as well as the how much of snow occurrences definitely worked to our advantage early when decisions are being made as to vacation schedules. However, weather patterns continually changed as the winter progressed, and we will finish the season at approximately 63% of total snowfall for last season and 71% of normal. Skier Visits have for the most part paralleled snow conditions above. We will finish this season with our second best year ever. Revenue has continued strong with early season momentum definitely carrying the day. All of our profit centers performed well and the addition of Hoback Sports decisively added to our retail/rental performance. One highlight of the season was the stellar performance of our RRC results. Early in the season we challenged you to bring greater focus and energy to our Always an Ambassador Goal. Well you did, and I want to thank you all for that extraordinary commitment. In essence, and in light of less than typical Jackson conditions, our employee friendliness, helpfulness and performance have exceeded our goals. Further our Net Promoter Score has held strong through the season. As we transition into another active summer with next year s 50th Anniversary festivities, including the Teton Lift, I thank you for your dedication to our mission of making Jackson not only the finest mountain but also the friendliest. Hope to see you this summer,
Updates/Shout Outs We want your feedback! JHMR Employees: We hope you had a great winter season here at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. It is very important to JHMR to gauge the employee experience at the end of each season. We invite you to participate in the End of Season Employee Survey. By participating you will be entered in to win a $250, $150 or $100 gift card to Hoback Sports (follow directions at the end of the survey to be entered into the drawing). Please use the following link to complete the survey: Message from the Resort Store Team! Thanks for a great season! We want to let everyone know that the Resort Store will be here for their End of Season Shopping and Off Season Souvenir needs daily through Wed April 8th this spring! 10am -8pm through Sat 4/4 And 10am -7pm through Wed 4/8 Come in and use your Employee Discounts, and shop our SALE Racks for extra great savings! I would like to give a shout out to all of the wonderful Ranch Lot parking crew! My family was always greeted with smiles throughout the entire season. And an extra shout out to the Shuttle Bus drivers who always let my son be their Co-Pilot. THANK YOU!! Thank you, Hailey Ward
Always an Ambassador As we near the end of the season I find myself reflecting on this winter. We had our share of challenges but I am amazed by our team and the overall positive outcome we created. There is no doubt everyone focused on the good and was able to keep our guests happy. I would like to thank each and every one of my fellow ambassadors. As we finish this season, please remember: Celebrate your extraordinary enthusiasm, Remember your encouraging attitude, Recognize your easy resilience, Commend your continued support, Respect the depth of your knowledge. Value your decision making. Without your selfless efforts, we wouldn t be where we are today. Thank you for keeping the momentum going! Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can t help them, at least don t hurt them. -Dalai Lama

Behind the Uniform This weeks Behind the Uniform is Terri Romanowski and Heather Cosby from Valley Dispatch!
Behind the Uniform Terri Romanowski: Lead Valley Dispatcher Where are you from? Cleveland, OH. How long have you worked for JHMR? 19 Years. Favorite thing about your job? 0-60 at a moments notice-(the world catches up to me); as well as working with all of the departments at JHMR. Favorite run at JHMR? There are so many, however Bivouac on a powder day, Aahh! Most memorable moment at JHMR? Once again, there are too many to list-however, as a Tram Operator on winter, Discovery channel was here to film Avalanche Hazard Reduction Work. I played Led Zepplin s Communication Break Down as patrol was sending explosives out of the Tram and the explosions added to the excitement, along with the high winds swaying the Tram jamming all the way to the top of RPK. What would you be doing if you weren t working at JHMR? Helicopter Pilot or Stunt Woman. If there was a movie made about life in Dispatch what would it be titled, and who would play you? XWaves RPK! Angelina Jolie or Scarlet Johansson. What is in your pocket? Pass and Keys. Heather Cosby: Valley Dispatcher Where are you from? Utah, Go Utes! How long have you worked for JHMR? Well, lets see now...a couple years with JHRL, a few seasons volunteering with the Mountain Host program, and 1 season in Valley Dispatch. Favorite thing about your job? The Workers. Favorite run at JHMR? Dicks Ditch, all day long. Most memorable moment at JHMR? Tough call...so many...riding the East Ridge chair, downloading at tower 3, and animal trails with my boys when they were younger. What would you be doing if you weren t working at JHMR? Hard to say, Franti tour maybe? If there was a movie made about life in Dispatch what would it be titled, and who would play you? It would be called Valley of the D, and I would be played by Bette Davis. What is in your pocket? A roll of hundreds & lip stuff, never leave home without it!
