3 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Some days MAY HAVE adjusted schedules due to Department of Music auditions, events, weather, etc Other alterations in the schedule are due to changes in field availability, or possibly if we have accomplished all set goals for the rehearsal. This is a template and is subject to change as necessary. It is not normal or acceptable for students to miss the camp rehearsals. However, if a mandatory conflict arises please speak with Dr. Woodworth to make arrangements and fill out the Absence Form. Freshman often have brief, mandatory financial aid or course scheduling meetings required during week of welcome. Music majors may have brief auditions. Again, FILL out the Absent Form AFTER speaking with Dr. Woodworth. Work is not an excusable absence from the ESMH Band Camp unless it is an official ESU obligation and it has been cleared in advance with Dr. Woodworth. This is a new year, and continuation of the excellence that we have been establishing for the Emporia State Marching Hornets. Please come to camp ready to work, ready to learn, and ready to represent ESU to the best of our abilities at all times. BAND CAMP SURVIVAL LIST Items you will need for camp: Athletic Style Clothing Shorts, T-shirts, socks - NO JEANS ALSO, white and lighter color t-shirts help reflect sun/heat away from you during outdoor rehearsals. Low Cut Athletic Tennis Shoes NO BOOTS, FLIP FLOPS, OR BARE FEET Musical Instrument/Equipment/Sticks 3 ring binder with plastic page-savers (enough for handbooks, drill and music) sheets Pencil Sunglasses Hat the more sun coverage, the better! o A hat can lower the perceived temperature by nearly 10 degrees.
